- Things to see and do in Beautiful Bend Oregon. What to see, eat, and where to camp. Travel: Bend Oregon 201. This video showcases our Bend Oregon Camping trip. Trying to find a place to stay over Memorial Day weekend. Pretty much every single RV spot in Oregon was booked. Kim and I took a chance and hooked up the trailer on Thursday morning to see if we could find a spot. Fortunately someone cancelled their spot about 20 minutes south of Bend in LaPine State Park. We figured if all else failed we would just travel a little further south and take that spot although we hoped to be a little closer to town. Well at the end of the day we couldn't find a spot in near Bend so we took the spot in LaPine. Glad we did. What a beautiful area. Definitely Kim and I's favorite area or Oregon. Hi Charles. That is a Camp Chef bbq. It is awesome. It hooks directly too propane or in our case propane quick connect to the trailer. Very convenient. You can purchase online through Amazon etc which I did or you can find and Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop etc. It was more expensive at the time we purchased so we saved a bit going through Amazon. I left a link in the video description if you want to see the pieces we purchased. Might be a little overkill for what we need for just two people but I love having the space to cook. redo your trailer and get a really good composting toilet ,some solar panels and you can boon dock
Ya we do quite a bit of boondocking throughout the year.
lol to funny Daisy trying to get comfortable. Have your water tank full, adds weight but you can dry camp on the fly.. No showers just a quick "sanataria" wash to conserve water. Get lithium batteries. If we lived in colder weather; I would have a diesel heater system its quiet and dry heat not to cause condensation. Now I hear you mention Heart issues.. Wow kid how about a heart healthy diet ? My sister in-law had quadruple by-pass at 40 .. So now i have over $1mill on my bi-och just incase..

Every video about the Pac Northwest has comments like this. Why is it that we all want to leave the South when so many are moving here? Oh that's right, we saw Katrina, Harvey and others visit us. Time for new neighbors right.
hackonefouryou well, I live in San Antonio and it’s hot as hell here 6 mos out of the year. I love the outdoors and San Antonio does not have any decent outdoor parks. That’s why everyone here is overweight. It’s just a different lifestyle and I hate it. Yes, it’s definitely cheaper to live in Texas but it’s super boring. I’m prepared to pay the price for a nice life. 🤷🏻♀️
210leyla it’s a nice town but it can get pretty boring as well as it’s very small. I could see living there for a couple years though.

Phil C. Hi Phil. Thanks for watching and commenting. I believe we made the video over Memorial weekend which would be end of May. Probably didn’t get the edit done and post until June though. Unfortunately it takes a long time to get these videos out.
Beautiful park but what other State parks are close in case La Pine doesn't have openings?
Hi Todd. There are only a couple in that area right around Bend and that is LaPine and Tumalo. Collier State Park is also great but it’s about an hour to Bend. All 3 are fantastic though.
