Those grapes - I have to look at them again, they are as luscious as the upstate varieties at New York City's greenmarkets in autumn. The elegant woman in the sleigh reminds me of a snappy Spanish idiom, "Our elegance will keep us warm!" Lastly, I hail Xavier's cocktail made with Pisco, the main ingredient of many a Pisco Sour over the years. What a joy to ponder the passage of time in this way - though the Frick itself is timeless.
Thank you so much for your wisdom every week since lockdown started! What a lifesaver it's been, to look forward to each week. I've never been to the Frick before and now I can't wait to visit and take this gifted knowledge with me whenever I am able to go. Many many thanks for this each week-stay safe! Love from Los Angeles.

I've always wondered why renaissance dolphins look so unlike what I think a dolphin would look like in life. Is there a reasons the dolphin sculptures form these paintings look like this?

Is there a reasons the dolphin sculptures form these paintings look like this?
nature: too green and badly lit...
