Camping On The River Murray. Haythorpe Reserve Mannum. Campfire cook up on the Murray River.

This week I camp at Haythorpe Reserve on the eastern side of the river at Mannum, we check out Mannum & do a campfire cook up.

Hey Mike...bit of a cooking eggs tip here....if you have a large tin or whateva dinner plate in your kit...put it over your fry pan to act as a lid...the steam and heat that accumulates will cook the egg yolk...no need for flipping....they turn out just the way I like them....runny....lol

I used to work for Unforgettable, cleaning the houseboats...I was a bit tooooo particular and efficient with my cleaning (Im not just a surface cleaner) which made me a bit slow for their liking...so they laid me off... I have also worked cleaning the houseboats at Long Island...was a good job there.....couldnt do it these days thouh....my back wont allow it haha...

Mannum nice spot spent 6 years on holidays there with the family at Christmas time always plenty to do great bakery and butcher there. Hope the government know what is coming myself think they are being a bit complacent with predictions only have to look at your previous videos up river and see how much it has risen lately another good video.👍👍👍

I love Mannum, great spot……. we bought a block there earlier this year , probably build in the next year or so. My mate has a shack at Bolto straight across from the Bowling Club, we’ll probably have a few refreshments and a barbie there on Boxing Day.

They reckon alot of murray lands including mannum and other towns will be under water very soon.....
I was hoping to camp at waikerie Ramco in this coming Xmas break..Dont like my chances.. 👍👍

I think all the towns in SA will be ok, it will mainly be shack areas that are low down & camping areas, maybe parts of Renmark if the old levi banks fall apart. Also a few caravan parks might be in trouble.

We live full time on a houseboat in Mannum Waters, all new to us, only been here since August.
Buy a Houseboat it will be fun 😵‍💫

Thanks, yeh I'm not too sure, my guess is it won't go too far over the banks on the town side & might get over a bit on the other side but hard to say, keep those fingers crossed.
