Being in a rush to mix and mingle with anyone but the bride and groom while talking to them is beyond rude. The people behind them were being very patient as everyone in that line should be including the prince of England.

I got the impression he was asking Princess Katherine to wrap up because of the other guests who were waiting to greet the newly weds. I am not a huge fan of 'royals' but in my opinion, Prince William wasn't being rude but consciencious towards the other guests.
