Nice track work! You can tell by how smoothly the camera sat on the car, even going over numerous frogs and crossings. Scale sized rail and nicely ballasted. Like the industrial and yard tracks.
I was going to write a long comment saying all the things I like about this video + railroad (really shouldn't be called just a layout), but it looks like others have it covered. My additions - I like the spaciousness in the mountains, and how the background blends to the 3D, the amazingly smooth trackwork giving zero camera shake, and really like the caboose view instead of pushed ahead of the engine, makes it more real. I've been to the real area, you have it right.
I love how you tied the graphics on the wall into the actual layout. Like with the roads appearing as if they continue into the wall without just abruptly ending.
Great train ride and a very nice layout. I really like your trackwork and it appears hand laid and as smooth as silk!! Looks like I'm not going to enjoy my little camera much after watching these quality vids with this Sony!! Thanks, Andy K.
and again the train is the only thing moving on this fine layout. The passengertrain could have passed by (and hide one of those giant screens as a bonus). The background: Wow!!
Great layout. A piece of 3D art. And the filming in HD is super. The layout website is superb also. Kudos on how there aren't people around the layout or noise. Makes it that much realistic. Are you going to make another cameracar clip soon with the newly finished portions? What about some trains meets? That would be sublime. Thank you for posting these fine clips.
I like your National Limited at 2:50. I model the B&O from Shops, IN to Mitchell, IN from 1960-1965. So I have the MoPac Sleeper but the SLSF was gone by then. I am wondering are you using the P7 or Early E units to power the train.
What kind/brand of ballast did you use? Am always interested in what the owners of these monster railroads use for the massive quantities of ballast that are needed. Thanks. Ken Koren La Grange Park, IL
I started installing sound decoders into O scale engines, and big speakers make a BIG difference. Personally I accept the limitations of Scale and Sound, and just enjoy the sights. Model Railroading is fun anyway, even with its limitations. Cheers.
Definitely gives the feel of the countryside near Cumberland. Magnificent trackwork.

I really love your backdrop. It reminds me of home. ...Roy

Amazing back-scene, and videos! Just shared another of yours on Facebook, Twitter and Pintrest - very well needed airing methinks!

Superb trackwork!
Awesome layout! Love it!
i love watching the signals drop to red!
Yes, and by watching this video we actually improved some of them, because they dropped late.

Very good for a work in progress.
Marvelous!
Wow!
Great train ride thanks! I think I'll subscribe
Nice layout! I noticed that the ballast size seems to be a bit to large.
I think HO ballast is big in general. I have seen worst where a ballast rock was bigger than an HO person head. LOL!

Peter Thayer Other than the West Virginian, which has either a P7 black or a T3, all other passenger trains have diesels, all EMD, from E6 to F7.

All ballast used is from Arizona Rock & Mineral Co.
Awesome
where is this layout? Do they have operating sessions on it???
What i hate about the loco sounds, they are the sounds of a loco needing maintenance, the snap sound of the valves is really bad.

worst scenery iv ever seen looks like its just been thrown together
