Or maybe go the opposite direction and have it be a very simple recipe with lots of components to make Jasmine think it’s more complicated than it really is.
Finally Lost in translation is a series! We need an episode where Jasmine, Katie and Kelly compete with each other using the same recipe 🤩💗 I am Swedish and am embarrassed to say that I didn’t realize it was smörgåstårta until like the very end 🫣🇸🇪
This translation series is my favorite so I’m so happy this will now be a weekly thing! I’m currently learning Japanese so seeing how words can be misinterpreted is so funny to me 😅
They should do it when two different people have the same translated recipe, and it’s a competition to see who does it more accurately Edit: Oh my god they did it!!
This was so good! Congratulations on getting it into a series. Can y’all put the instructions at the bottom of the screen for just a little bit longer please. The translation of the blue steps
Lmao I love seeing how Google translate gets these little hiccups wrong. Like it must've seen boiling translated into 'josh' and assumed it meant the name for the next translation
I love the intro! I always like to see the reasoning when you translate the recipe and what finished dish you create. I'm excited for the next few weeks 😀
@@beauty-girl-sara.l2813 Yeah, I got that much, thanks. I'm interested in when it's eaten, how it is made, and cultural significance. You know, things they didn't have time to discuss in this video.

I am so here for this! I've watched every episode, and love when I see a thumbnail for a new one. Now that it's its own show, I won't have to wait as long between episodes.
I'm Swedish but Ive never seen those fillings. We typically have a shirmp mixture as the inside layers with things like mayo and dill and the outside cream is typically just thin layer of mayo. And we top with things like lemon, smoked salmon, red bell pepper, lettuce, cucumber and sometimes even grapes.
NGL I love this series so much!! I also just realised I haven't been subscribed to this channel somehow and I just did, just because of this series!! so I really hope this becomes a regular thing!!! it's Soo fun to watch I love it and y'all!!! it's so innovative and entertaining!! good work everyone!!! keep bringing the awesome content!! 💖💖💖🤗👌🥳
So happy that it became a series!!! Today’s episode was so funny, never thought jasmine could make something so different cause she’s so good at this🤣🤣
As a Swede I feel very seen! I had a gut feeling that it would be something Nordic. I think it could’ve had more shrimps and cucumbers, but good work! Smörgåstårta in my heart ❤️
I just watched the newest episode of Chopped a little while ago, and smörgåstårta was one of the basket ingredients for the entree round. Theirs had shrimp on top, and the outside was covered with cucumber. But I instantly recognized it from this video.
Jasmine did a great job! but what recipe did they use? I have never seen a smörgåstårta that looks like that, i think someone might have misinterpreted the OG recipe because they are not supposed to be blank on the sides like that one is. In a typical smörgåstårta you can't even see the cake itself because its covered in decorations.
0:57 OMG ! Did I just see Hindi & Korean in this clip ? Watch it in the slowest playback speed 0.25x and you can see few other languages as well. Lots of love from India 🇮🇳 💜
I have a few suggestions. 1. Beef Wellington, it is a classic dish that is hard to make with a regular recipe, never mind a translated one. 2. Scotch Eggs, I just really want to know how this would turn out. 3. Spanakopita, it is a greek pastry dish that looked really good. Either way I can't wait for the next episode this one was awesome and funny.

I especially love the little editor's notes being all like "no dont do that :)"
Whoever is in charge of that needs a rise
Does anyone think they should make a really hard recipe with many crazy components and decor but all four of them do it together
Yes I agree 🙌
Yes!!!!
Yess! Such a great idea. Imagine how funny it would be 😂
Or maybe go the opposite direction and have it be a very simple recipe with lots of components to make Jasmine think it’s more complicated than it really is.
Having them all compete and see what they each come up with!

The editor of this series should definitely get a raise! 😂🙌🏻
Agree 100%! Honestly everyone who helps make this series is great!
they for sure got it! this is now a series and it means bigger budget!

this has to be the least similar end result to the actual dish yet😭😭
yeah it makes me suspicious i mean if they had a recipe for pancakes and it doesn't result in a pizza. It's always so close
Loving how every time chives is mentioned it’s translated into a totally different word
I just start watching this video and Josh is an Urdu language word means boiling. You are doing very good 🤠

OK, now I want a related series where someone makes the original and talks about where it comes from.

As a translator and interpreter, I’m glad people are learning how bad Google Translate can actually be. 😅 Good for some things, I’ll give it that.
