When Kyogo plays wider he puts in cross balls along the floor that HE himself would thrive on! Show Yang & Palma these clips. Kyogo was on end of quality from wide with Angeball, but our wingers never go past full backs, always cut inside or play back!
We haven't got 1player who can go past a man from a standing position if we can't get through with the one twos it won't happen , then we pass the ball to death at the back inviting on the opposing team and allowing them to set up with all the time in the world of who thought this up
We need to do something different Saturday, I feel we are too predictable at the minute. I’d go with Kyogo and Kenny up front , I’d also give McGregor a rest, I’d play Mc Cowan , Engels and Bernardo , with khun & maeda if fit on the wings. I’d also start Scales in front of Trusty . We need a performance as well as a good victory.
I don't even listen to the background noise anymore. If & when they sign, then I'll be interested. As for tomorrow, we need a performance, we've been poor at times lately & we need to get the finger out there HH 🇮🇪
I can remember Martin O'Neil being quoted by press that we were linked with taribo West & Martin O'Neil said more chance of John west the fishman coming here 😂😂 but we seem to be linked with different players every day
I'd be sad to lose Kyogo even in summer, much more so now. The finances might make sense but I'd rather our manager try and play to the strengths of a brilliant striker than just bin him cause he only knows the Horseshoe tactic
As for Cummings why on earth would he renew with us. Unless you're a total glitch by 18 years old like Tierney the 'pathway' just doesn't exist. The real pathway is to be a Stephen Welsh who's content to play 5 games a year til their mid 20s. Not that fulfilling really despite all the great memories of trophies you'd have etc
I hope we give Cummins a chance perfect for the 3rd striker role brendon mentioned when talking about vata and if valle is going and kt is coming back talyor looks nailed on to leave in the summer I hope young Anderson gets a squad place as lb back up lovely left peg on him think has huge potential and glad young Murray getting Welsh squad place Welsh has reached his bar young Murray looks like he could go all the way , with our dominance of scottish football I don't see why 2 or 3 younger players shouldn't be in our 1st team squad and I know some say if good enough they play but vata doak never got a sniff until they said they were thinking of leaving .
CCV should not be up for corners as happened for Dundee’s first goal…his place is in defence…also, Celtic have never had a player who can take long throws which are as good as corners…this should be a priority……
We have spent some serious money over the last two seasons. Most of the players have failed to deliver. Looking at the team, outside one maybe two at most, we have very little when it comes to players with any sell on value.
--> Good report: short and sweet. Looking forward to the changes you'll be bringing. --> 7 or 8 million on just one player would be surprising. If that much is spent, then that pretty much eliminates bringing in quality at each the 3 needed positions.
Commenters saying that we won't spend that kind of money on a 22yo winger but we spent 11 million on 21yo centre mid in the summer... and still made a profit. Don't see why we shouldn't spend.
Good video.. Theres is a definite weaknesses and softness in our play and must be addressed. The return of Tierney will, of course, give us more physicality and dynamism on the left side of our defence. Let's hope he comes in this month. I also think we need a real robust, physical, and defensive midfielder ( No.6) who is adept at breaking up play, winning balls, and starting attacks. Calmac is such an intelligent and gifted footballer that he can play anywhere in midfield, and especially in domestic home games when teams sit back, he dictates play. However, in tough away games, and in europe, he isn't strong enough.. and we suffer. I'd play him further forward, where he can be more influential, create chances, and, as we know, is also a goal threat. The wings are really needing strengthened. For me, Yang and Palma are nowhere near the level required and have to be moved on. Of course, they are part of that horrendous summer 2023 transfer window.. which also included Nawrocki, Lagerbielke, Holm, Tillio and Kwon. Over £17m spent on players who have not been contributing anything..totally unacceptable. That level of recruitment ineptitude can not be repeated. Hopefully, Brendan can address the issues in the wide areas this month. A top quality winger who can play both sides should be a priority, and I'd also sign Armstrong from Kilmarnock as back up to Kuhn. He has proved for a few seasons now, including against us, he can be very effective in the SPFL, and i think he could do a job for us, especially domestically. Also, we can not sell our "wee magic man" Kyogo.. He is still our best striker and has shown in the last few games what an intelligent and great player he is, even from deeper or wider areas.. we have to work harder at finding him more, and I've no doubt he'll score more goals. If we sold him this month it would be criminal.. Idah needs to up his game big time and i think Kenny deserves more minutes. As for Cummings, you'd like the bhoy to get a chance given his scoring record this season. However , it's a bit strange Rodgers hasn't done so yet.. may be due to his lack of real pace. Only the manager knows. Hail Hail
Celtic need another striker idah hasn't proved value for money there's a chance kyogo still leaves this month so a striker Is a must in my opinion also defence is conceding easy goals aswel we need to get the defence sorted can't keep conceding as many goals as we have been
With regard to the academy, we should mothball it. A lot will disagree, but we're not bringing thru 1st team players. The minute they're around the team, an English nonentity Diddy mob, with more cash comes in & offers more money & that's the reality. It ain't gonna change. So we should have the smaller teams run academies, with financial help maybe, I dunno but we should change things regardless. If smaller clubs new we could come in & pay decent money & players see a proper pathway, then the money stays in the game. Young players then know the clubs look at them as potential 1st team team players. I dunno, but something 🇮🇪
Serious amount of content this month! Fairplay, Paul & and the lads.
Thanks mate

So 4 up front 3 midfield ? Who’s 3 defenders
You started well then it all went horribly fvckn wrong Ernie Angles is beyond pish with Scales even worse, ffs m8 get a grip..

Good luck on the new format Paul 🇳🇬🇳🇬🤞🤞

If all these Academy players are moving away for bigger contracts then we should scrap the Academy as a Statement.

Totally agree.
Big Cam just isn't dangerous attacking corners so pointless him being up for them.
Keep him back where is needed most.

Hail Hail
Would Cummings be any worse than Idah, I doubt it
Hope the Kyogo rumours are nonsense
I'd put Kenny up front ......maybe give our two strikers a kck up the A#$E....idah had lost his way ..he needs put out on loan ...
All these rumours about ALL these players, why do I feel it’s going to be another disastrous transfer window ?

Hail hail if Kyogo is going to go make it now, so we have a chance to get a replacement in, time is getting on now
