This movie was a 31% on Rotten Tomatoes and the average was 2.68/10. Had terrible casting, movie mistakes, didn’t relate too much to the game, characters were overall messed up, most importantly there was no Japanese spoken in this movie. This movie needs to be rebooted one way or another and have better scripting and casting. And also to include the Devil Gene plot in there.
@@Aerosplinter yes you’re right about that. She didn’t seem more like Christie Monteiro. Christie is of Brazilian ethnicity and Kelly Overton was nowhere near that. Xiaoyu should’ve been the female lead. Not Christie.
@@darchelmacaroyo184 Their plot points didn’t also add up. The Jacks weren’t robots, they were security guards in kendo masks. Kazuya would never want to side with Heihachi while running a tournament, and the fight scenes were mocked from Mortal Kombat.

I agree with you there Jin's only goal at the tournament was to get revenge he stops at nothing They couldn't even get this right BC they wanted Romance and making out scenes in a TEKKEN MOVIE OMG 🤮🤮
“Katsuhiro Harada hated it” “Didn’t even have creative inputs” -Sequel is somehow worse than the movie. -Gets the lore of the source material VERY wrong. As someone who’s also a pjo fan this is oddly familiar.
@@samflood5631They're referring to the Percy Jackson movies, which were in the same boat as the Tekken movie, in that the author of the books, Rick Riordan, wasn't involved in the production, had what input he did try to give ignored, and hates how much they messed up so much of the source material.
To explain, the movie was on a budget (which is only big enough to afford the whole roster of TK4) because they couldn't afford certain major roles for Tekken Fighters, ones such as: • Lee Chaolan = His plot was put into Kazuya (who's actor should've played Law instead) which is why he is a pretty-boy who works with Heihachi and later betrays him, and it's also why he did a ménage à trois with the Williams Sisters. • JACK = One of the Tekken Fighters from Russia that would take CGI to bring to life, but they instead made them loosely based on the Tekken Force from the games, they're called "Jackhammers" in this film. • The biggest fault behind this is that they'd rather waste the budget on some of the cast members that shouldn't matter in this lame version of TK, particularly Miguel, Jun, Yoshimitsu, Dragunov, and Steve because they were the most unnecessary in the movie compared to the others.
I think with the lower budget they should've went for Tekken 1's more simple, nuanced, and not so crazy story. Jin's popular and the center of attention in the 2010s thanks to Tekken 6 etc. so I can see why they went with the latter. Tekken 3's story could've work too I guess (like the Netflix Animated Series)
@@FUNFILMzANT I couldn't agree more! One more thing that's best to add: When adaptating a lore with a variety of character plots such as the 16+ characters from 鉄拳TEKKEN, it's better to make it into a series instead of a movie because of all the elements to explore, and sequels like 鉄拳TEKKEN 2 being the second season.
I have never seen the Tekken live action movie and I don't plan on watching it because I know it'll be another trashy video game movie. It looks like a porn parody tbh 🤣 this review was hilarious
I don't think it was supposed to even be a Tekken movie XD It was an unrealted action movie that got "Tekken 2: Kazuya's Revenge" slapped on as its title.
Idk man ... I cant stop laughing, realizing movie clip that you included in the video has indonesia subtitle... Bruh i wish you know that my country is one of the biggest movie pirates in the world...😂😂
I know you may not like what I mention, but I would much rather prefer the Dead or Alive movie over this trashy Tekken abomination. Likewise I know that a lot of people like myself considered DOA: Dead or Alive to be bad, but it’s more rather entertaining with those humorous scenes like Bass and Tina together. Sure those fight scenes felt kinda whack, but at least they kept it true to the fighting game’s source material, including a Beach Volleyball scene which is an homage to the Dead or Alive Xtreme series. A few things I absolutely dislike about the movie is when they did Jann Lee and Leifang dirty. For once, they made Jann Lee feel weak and powerless! And they almost literally killed Leifang after her matchup with Gen Fu! She was my favorite DOA girl ever since she appeared in the first game! But other than those worst parts about the DOA movie, I simply enjoy it for the fact that I’m a Dead or Alive player and I wanted to watch a film adapted from the fighting game that I enjoy so much out of it. Anyways I hope you don’t mind my opinion! 😉

Satu lagi: kalo toh Jin ama Xiaoyu pacaran, takkanlah mereka habiskan kencan mereka dengan ciciuman atau kencan ke restoran, tapi pake berantem. *BERANTEM.* Romansa tipis-tipis kalo istilahnya teh. Gue kesel sama production house yang bikin film Tekken ini, malah sengaja bikin cerita yang Jin pacarannya ama Christie, bukan cewek Cina mungil yang ngerti sama kehidupan kelam Jin. Jin ama Xiaoyu kalo pacaran gak pake ciuman.
I like the movie but the story and characters are the major problems here. Kazuya and Heihachi are rivals and enemies not partners in crime. There are two big companies in this franchise. The Mishima Zaibatsu and G corporation. But it lot like of an actual fighting movie than a video game adaptation. Kazuya didn't kill Jun. The ancient creature Ogre kill Jun after he scenes the devil gene in Jin which is why Jin entered the iron fist tournament in the first place. Kazuya uses a karate fighting style. Jin and Kazuya fight each other because Jin wanted to prevent more blood shed by his family. I wish there is a real Tekken movie where major movie stars play Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi and more.
Which is why I want another Tekken live-action movie to be a thing next year. Dengan cast yang gak asal-asalan, cerita yang nyambung sama game-nya. The cast should be: 1. Morgan Oey as Jin Kazama 2. Mathias Muchus as Kazuya Mishima 3. Dian Sastrowardoyo as Jun Kazama 4. Slamet Rahardjo as Heihachi Mishima 5. Shin Ji-yoon as Ling Xiaoyu 6. Nicholas Saputra as Hwoarang 7. Josh Holloway as Paul Phoenix 8. Joe Taslim as Marshall Law 9. Gwyneth Paltrow as Nina Williams 10. Kate Winslet as Anna Williams etc.
This is funny but with his round soft face hands held up like he's carrying a pistol and all of that, John Foo reminds me much more of a an Asian Leon Kennedy in that thumbnail, to be honest. He made a good Ryu though. I feel like he suited that part a little bit more but it's still not rough enough for a modern old Ryu
