Once you realize what the balloons represent it’s a whole new meaning to all his videos
You got to hear "This House" by Tom Mcdonald. The flows and rhyme sceme on that song is mind blowing
White represents Happy/Hopeful Black represents Sad/Hopeless
Balloons are burdens/doubts/regrets Shopping cart is a portable cage since he left the cage in outcast . Ok now for the music video.
He passes the line where people are getting their fake smiles wiped off. He doesnt even bother getting in the line but he tried wiping his smile off with just his hand with no sucess the smile remains on his face. Then hes pushed by the people in white in the cart to the next line where people are trading in their black clothes for white clothes and once again he doesnt bother getting in line despite people trying to help him become happy. Then he sees the old guy in the alley and despite being older that guy never was able to release his ballooms and thats when nf became concerned. So he skips the line and cuts infront of everybody and begans to untie a balloon from his shopping cart. Than he goes to hand his balloon to the white arm. The white arm represents god. Nate finally was ready to give some burdens to god. But as he was handing over the balloon to god you can see his hand shaking. Hes nervous and like the song says "I should let them go and watch them float away but if i do i might be more afraid" that explains why he skipped the other two lines hes scared to change hes scared of being happy whether its for his musics sake or he might just be confortable being sad its all hes known up until this point.
Hope you see this i love nf reactions and ive been here since you started the journey and the music videos are fun to dissect hes a master story teller and I love giving my insight when i can

Nf went to a mental health facility and that where Nate came from. When you’re in a mental health facility they have you talk to your younger self and the trauma you experienced.
His lyrics are always deep. No meaningless fillers here.
You really need to do your research, they put those outfits on you when you go into a mental health facility just like he did. Which is where Nate come from. I’m a psych major
His mind is a circus where the thoughts are going for a ride, so at the end it shows fear, giving up some burdens which leads to the reason he has none (black dress Nate ) in the song hope. Means fear gave up his burdens

The cart represents the album Perception where NF talks about the prison he built himself, taking it with him signifies an inability to escape.
The balloons represent 'burdens' - referenced in the song by acknowledgement that they weigh him down and a desire to let them go. (The number of balloons NF has in each video are representative of what he is going through at the point in his life)
'White' represents hope/positivity/light and while those in white may been seen to carry burdens they are not overwhelmed by them. NF wears white in the white album which signifies a change in his mental health and wellbeing.
The painted smile highlights the performance we put on to society to pretend we are ok.

As NF is a Christian, we are taught to give our burdens up to the Lord. Sometimes its difficult for us to for whatever reason.

This is one or my favorites
Such great insight Rosalie. You thoughts on those in white about them not seeming hopeful and more like robots is a good one. Still, since Nate in now in white and giving balloons to the person in white is kind of revealing and perhaps the people in white symbolize hope and people, still with burdens but getting better. Last, I find it funny that Nate calls Fame in the first place and then carriers on a two way conversation with Fame asking Nate How is is going? And Nate texted Fame back and waiting for a response. Kind of like dropping the album and see what he critics have to say a couple of days later. Thanks for all of the these great NF reactions and I know a ton more are coming cuz the new albums is a plateful of dope music!

Hell of a song huh? This kid is awesome. As are your reactions. Spot on👍 I would also say, this is only my personal take from this song, he is an oddball who doesn't fit in, doesn't want to be drugged to the nines to "treat" his mental issues, and cannot bring himself to conform to clown world (another reason for the joker makeup). Just like so many of us who joined Infantry. Where we finally found a place to belong with hundreds of other misfits/rejects/oddballs. Being awake/individualistic in a clown world full of sheep is a pretty lonely place at times. God Bless from Down Under mate👊

His black cloths seem to be negative or depressed state, that paint smile is like a fake smile. White seems to be hopeful and a positive state
The part when all the good thought are pushing fear in the cart is dope. Meaning they are finally overwhelming fear and so he gets out of the Portable cage (cart) and screams leave me alone … dope

Yeah, think he took offense, he kinda seemed off

Great song and breakdown. I just wish people were actually listening to it the first time when they are breaking it down.
Has anyone given thought to the balloons in so far as their inherent instability, i.e., easily broken and fragile, usually useless in most instances, the faster you yourself move the more of a "drag/impediment" they are, when popped the startle and scare you, they take up more room than is needed, and given any amount of wind/turbulence then any sense of control is lost?

So here we see the good thoughts turning bad and bad thoughts turning good. Fear is walking around all Nate’s thoughts and is overwhelming so that’s why it’s called leave me alone. Fear don’t want to hear it.
The people in the white are all the hopeful people in the world that NF used to look at and think "they're crazy ones..." until he decided to join them.
The carnival attraction where the black smiles are painted on everyone, is the outside influence of the negativity in the world
Notice they have burdens (balloons), just like he does, yet they're still in white unlike him. HOPE is the moment he decides to join them, but it's not as easy as saying you're hopeful - it's constant struggle, as it's represented with the negative Nate constantly pushing through.
It’s never explained what the scene represents. My theory is these are his fans all at different levels of being helped by him. They push him along and he has to stay in black to make them well, but in the end he is trying

No negativity he's talking about his life ur average rapper talks cars, money all woman r h*es hes diif, the white represents , mental institution people!!! The balloons hve NO helium in them, that's deep, so thy are not being sent up any where ... that's the negativity staying with him, my opinion, OCD is bad my Ex had it and yes beyond cleaning it's thoughts yup obsession thy obsess over everything, usually cleaning in neat are deff in all that with crazy thoughts, over thinking!
