If the enemy gets to castle so much faster than you, its better to either go burgrave or at least secure the relics with your army before you make regnitz. Demu did neither and that set him too far behind.

mangos are so bad now u cant counter them they just sit units on it to defend they should make them more pop heavy so u cant make loads or make springs good again feels bad not having a counter to mangos
one thing is losing relics, another thing is building Regnitz on top of it. Isnt it literally just a useless wall landmark if you dont have any relics??
[Correction] After rewatching it seems Drongo made a mistake saying that Demu surrendered in OO3:G6, so I retract my comment below. "Not watching any vids with Demu. His behaviour in Outback Octagon was pathetic."
In summary, I think he unfairly got a bad rep because Drongo said he surrendered in his 3rd match when he actually didn't - this definitely skewed my opinion of him because it happened just after he did surrender illegally in his first game. Then, in the next match he was a bit toxic to another player who was having a really bad game, so his rep got even worse. And then one time he got to final 2 and surrendered after just 90 seconds, which is just anticlimactic and wasn't popular with spectating crowd. But I like to give people a fair shot - so I went back and checked. I can see he didn't surrender in Game 13, so only made a single rules infraction, with a bit of minor toxicity. So I take back my comment that he was 'pathetic' in OO3, it just really seemed like that after he apparently ragequit in 2 of his first 3 matches. Overall, I think he is a decent player but quite boring in Outback Octagon for spectators because he plays very conservative and defensive, not going for early kills and not going for king snipes. When reaching final 3 or 4, lack of kills usually meant much lower pop than the other surviving players, so is underpowered. In spite of getting to final 3 in half of his games, he only scored 5 points from 8 appearances. Maybe this defensive style of play has more success in 1v1s. _Demu in Outback Octagon 3_ *Game 5* - surrenders, placing 6/8, after he tried to spam trade ships in secret and got denied by LouieMT. Except for 1v1, surrendering was not allowed in OO3 because it means the attacker saves resources and time and therefore gains an unfair advantage. So this was a rules infraction. *Game 6* - gets to final 2, no issues. Loses on landmarks to Marinelord. *Game 13* - gets to final 3. Killed via landmarks but Drongo incorrectly says that Demu surrendered. *Game 14* - insults Valdemar for all-inning him, calling him a dumb player, after Valdemar was being 2v1 for the whole game and had no other way of scoring points or expanding. Demu makes final 2 but surrenders 90 seconds later, in spite of catching and deleting the opponent's entire siege, just because the oppo has a bunch of knights heading to his base and has +150 more max pop. Not against the rules to surrender, just boring and anticlimactic. *Game 21* - gets to final 3, no issues. *Game 22* - taken out 2nd, no issues. *Game 29* - gets to final 4, no issues. *Game 30* - taken out 1st, no issues.
yeap... they nerfed low number mangos.... but... by removing the anti siege springalds role..... once they get half dozen of them.. your Fucked... only way to counter is to well do the same.. the whole patch should be reverted imo... but whatever.. a dozen pros were happy about it so i guess the whole playerbase is stuck

OotD tends to want to make a lot of prelates anyway to heal their high health units for tons of value
