This is one of the only product demo videos I can think of that clearly demonstrated the product and was brilliantly engaging all the way through. Well done.
OK so I just caught myself verbally responding to your video. When you made the reverse track 3 and played them all together you said "it sounds pretty cool to me." I said f*** yeah it does!" I am sold. I'm ordering one tomorrow. Great little tutorial. Keep it up. BTW, I had never heard that Lego house song, it is amazing.
He stated the EH Looper's biggest drawback and why I don't use it anymore: The length of the first loop is the length of all the successive loops. Oops! Big problem. You end up have to do really long repetititive initial loops (like this demo guy did) to get any length for the successive loops. Boomerang figured this out by letting you record successive loops that are any multiple of the first loop and they are still in synch. With the Boomerang, you can also record 4 loops in any length (concurrently) in 'Free' mode. Great for phasing/ambient songs. Also the 16 bit 44.1 is harsh to my ears. Oh well.
True, that is a huge drawback, it hasn't caused me any problems yet, but I can see where it would. I typically use this unit for recording music, as it saves to an SD Card, which is friendlier to me, I'm not big on recording things to a PC.
Totally interested in the start of the demo part,(not so much at the 2nd half). I have not played for years, and i'm looking to get back some feeling of more than just the guitar alone,(without a backing track to play along with). The looper at the beginning showed me that i could find the feeling back with a little fine tuning. What's the package going for ?
I treated myself to the Vox vdl-1 Looper which is also fantastic. Especially as you can use the expression pedal to effect the loops after they've been recorded and record that effect too ! It doesn't save what you loop though like this 45000 does. I reckon it would be great fun to use the two together though :0) Great Demo... Thanks for sharing !
Using the footswitch, can I record one 4-track loop that is 30 seconds long, then another 4-track loop that is 60 seconds long, and then hit the loop-up/loop-down footswitch to go between them? Does that make sense? It looks like that's what you did in the beginning, switching from verse to chorus. If that's the case, this would give it the 'series' loop sorta deal that the new Infinity from Pigtronix has. Thanks!!
Great demo, and great playing, JJ! I am considering getting one of these and found the manual online. I have a question for which I couldn't find the answer. Can I record eg a 1 measure loop in track one, then loop it and record a 4 measure loop in track 2 and have the track 1 loop 4 times while track 2 is looping one time? Or do all loops on the same preset need to be the same length?
Thanks for the great video! Two questions. First, is it possible to record multiple layers onto each of the 4 tracks? Second, when switching between loop presets (as you did in the video), is it possible to play/record in different tempi or meters? Thanks!
6:11 does indeed sound cool... but with today's technology there certainly should be a way to just record and individually reverse channels rather then placing the entire unit in reverse, recording a single channel forward against the reversed unit then swapping them around to get that "one" in reverse. Suggest a reverse button per channel to EHX... would be a nice feature in an upcoming unit.
part of the attraction of this unit is that it isnt overladen with gimmicks.... doing the reverse the tape thing must be like how the beatles did it in abbey road ...if you want a modern approach with all the bells and whistles boss seem to be good at that kind of thing ..apart from midi timing ..ehx seem to be king at that one. One of the reasons i will never by a boss product unless its the only thing on offer....thank god for ehx!!!!!!!!!!
I still didn't quite get what looping is... Do you have any other toys you could demonstrate it with? Just kidding - this was a helpful, well-done video, I'm trying to decide which looper would work for me - for multi-instrument purposes. The thing at the end with the multi-layer loop recording is very interesting.
Hi JJ ! DO U know if this badboy thanx to the MIDI and its slave function could be used as a perfect match to be in sync with a DAW such as Live ableton? and if so ,DO you have any tips around to share with us.Thanx for the vid
hello, thanks about the video. Is posible créate a full song in an only one record?, i mean, add a different loops and get a mp3 or wave field complete song ?? thankss
hello JJ, thanks for the vid. could you precise if you can record a first loop in say track 1 and then during its first repeating loop go directly and record to track 2 with a different length? What I want to know is if you can record 2 tracks with different lengths in one time / on the go (not going to a track 2 recorded before) ? thanks.
arilene 1st loop sets the length period. Nothing you can do except pressing Oct Down to double the length (and pitch down one octave) and record the new loop on another track, and erasing the initial track.
There's any way of start recording with a 4 beat count off (on non-quantize mode) ? Or does it have that feature that only starts recording when I start playing? I dont really want to buy the foot controller, so you see.. Thank you :)
great demo vid! i have one question though that i cant find in the online manual i downloaded, i cannot figure out how to delete tracks one of the most basic functions but i dont see it anywhere in the manual i downloade. i got lucky and got a 45000 for 89$ the other day it had a broken sd card slot banging around inside of it and didnt work so i opened it up and used duct tape to fix it and it actually works ! i was very excited about getting it to work as i could never afford the usual price of these at the moment. Thanks for any advice
@@robinr22 i don’t own it anymore even though i wish i did, but from what i recall you just have to record over tracks or record no sound input or something like that, but i could be wrong as its been a few years since i had one.
So what I understand from this video, you can't record different loop lengths and you can't apply reverse or octave to an individual track without altering the rest of the tracks? Bummer... The Boss RC-505 can do this, but I hate the fact that you have to control it with your hands and doesn't have a foot controller. Please do tell me if I'm wrong!
agree on everything. I have had no success finding a foot pedal for the Boss505 but haven't looked lately. how they missed that boat I'll never know but if that was made available it would be a GREAT looper. Not so great without foot pedal capability. Someone out there HELP US PLEASE!!!
So all I need is Legos and I'll be good to go. Who'd a thought. Just kidding. Great presentation but beyond my pay grade. I'm still learning the h scale but got to find the h fret first. 😢👍
Saying you can import files is deceptive. You have to create a new directory and four audio files AND a mixdown file to import one audio file. -- that is referring to what it says in the manual, not what this guy is doing, which is all good
whose interested in reverse? i just wanna do verse on one loop, ch one loop, fill one loop you didn't answer that, can u do that is it easier than rc300

uncasist hey man I'm trying to purchase the Boomerang 3. Where can I get one?

awesome demo JJ
Also, killer demo man. Subscribed.

hey, nice one ! Are the effects built in ?
Perfect. Thanks for the quick reply!
Excellent vid Thanks I like your song as well :)
Leave me spechless Superb performance
Great great vid!!! Thx for sharing!!! This means a lot!

Can tracks be recorded at different lengths for asynchronous looping... or do all tracks have to conform to being the same length?

Hey. Nice video! is there any way to record in an octave down without the tempo going down?
Nice! As the EHX 45000 has MIDI, can you sync your man-made loops with those of a drum machine?
'Clever lad you are!
hi friend do u know if u can plug a mic into the 45000 as well?
hello, thanks about the video.
Is posible créate a full song in an only one record?, i mean, add a different loops and get a mp3 or wave field complete song ??

Can you access all functions without the foot switch? Thanks

How do you erase everything on all 4 tracks to start over?
is it possible to adjust tempo speeds during a live performance using a tap function?
Is the 45000 foot controller compatible with the 2880 multitrack?
Hey LOoK at that OCD DISTO PEDAL he uses at 8:17 (+ TC ELECTRONIC DELAY)
does it have a threshold feature ?
There's any way of start recording with a 4 beat count off (on non-quantize mode) ?
Or does it have that feature that only starts recording when I start playing?
I dont really want to buy the foot controller, so you see..
Thank you :)
Yes, there is a volume control knob on the top right for the Quantize, I agree it is annoying though lol.
great demo vid! i have one question though that i cant find in the online manual i downloaded, i cannot figure out how to delete tracks one of the most basic functions but i dont see it anywhere in the manual i downloade. i got lucky and got a 45000 for 89$ the other day it had a broken sd card slot banging around inside of it and didnt work so i opened it up and used duct tape to fix it and it actually works ! i was very excited about getting it to work as i could never afford the usual price of these at the moment. Did you ever figure out how to clear a track? I can figure out how to clear the whole thing but not an individual loop 😕
@@robinr22 i don’t own it anymore even though i wish i did, but from what i recall you just have to record over tracks or record no sound input or something like that, but i could be wrong as its been a few years since i had one.

Great
Can you record vocals onto it
Hey wazza if you type the pedals name and model number into you tube there is a great demo vid of a guy doing all vocals on this. Andy
So all I need is Legos and I'll be good to go. Who'd a thought. Just kidding. Great presentation but beyond my pay grade. I'm still learning the h scale but got to find the h fret first. 😢👍
Can anyone tell me. if there are cheaper pedal options, that only have this reverse effect thing?
Well the cheapest ones , i can think of are the tc electronic ditto x2, and the donner (deluxe) looper.
Line 6 DL4 Modeler has reverse but it's max loop time is 14 seconds. Don't know why.
im curious about the delete function, what if you screw up on one of the tracks? Is there an undo?
2:37
9:32
Hey LOoK at this TC ELECTRONIC DELAY he uses, can see at 8:17
can i use this on my bass gutar?
Saying you can import files is deceptive. You have to create a new directory and four audio files AND a mixdown file to import one audio file. -- that is referring to what it says in the manual, not what this guy is doing, which is all good
The problem for my ears is that like any other EHC pedal,
the buttons are very noisy!
whose interested in reverse? i just wanna do verse on one loop, ch one loop, fill one loop you didn't answer that, can u do that
is it easier than rc300
the rest of the band must follow the recorded tempo then... :/
lol ed sheeran
