Nothing can prepare you for this moment. It's impossible for any film or photo to capture it. I'm American, first went to the Grand Canyon in 1992. My first words were holy fuck.
@kidneedonor8088, and yet I've heard that every now and then, someone will get to the rim, and instead of awe, they say something like, " It's just a big ditch!" I can't understand how anyone could have that response.
I agree 100% that the in person view is so stunning no picture comes even close. The stress filled world we live in melts away and people look happy and content… some with tears in their eyes. It’s indescribable
The GC is much larger than it looks. From the rim you cannot judge the size because there are no objects to compare to, like trees. When you begin to walk down inside the Grand Canyon you realize that it is TWICE AS BIG as it looks.
Tuba City, Arizona, is on Navajo Nation Reservation. I visited Grand Canyon many times when I lived in Arizona & it is an amazing place to see. Arizona is mostly desert & red color in rocks is clay. I was an administrator at university in Flagstaff, Arizona, & during summer we would take music students up to the Grand Canyon to perform concerts for tourists.
Great to see your trip to the grand canyon. I was there in 2010. One of the best things I have done. I want to go back. I love the nature and the landscape in those areas! We did the Kaibab trail the first day, and then Bright Angel the next day. It was really hot those days. The view during those hikes was unreal, and frankly hard to take in.
It’s 277 miles long, 18 miles across and a mile deep. The size swallows up sound. It’s like your brain needs to take a few minutes to process. But I looked at people, after the initial shock people were calm smiling and happy as tho the canyon has swept away your stress
Nothing prepares you for your first look at the Grand Canyon. The shear size of it is just mind blowing. When you understand the history and formation, it's a whole new blowing of the mind. Enjoy your trip.
On every video about the Grand Canyon, this same comment is said over and over, including me. Nothing can prepare you for your first look.I first went in 1992, and my first words were holy fuck.
I just watched someone's review of this video, and felt I needed to stop by for a comment or 2. First off, I'd like to say I'm glad you enjoyed your visit so much. I've backpacked to the bottom 3 times, staying at Phantom Ranch each time. This is cabin lodging with a nice dining room a few steps away, as well as ice cold lemonade--very welcome for those who've just finished a long hike from the top after 8 to 10 hrs. or more. You ought to google or Wikipedia it.
Love your content! I was born and raised in AZ my whole life and I can honestly say that I have never been to the Grand Canyon before. It is quite humbling to see people travel halfway across the world just to come visit what I could see within a few hours' drive.
We hiked down South Kaibab to Phantom Ranch and then to Ribbon Falls and back out the Bright Angel trail over a 3 day period a few years ago. We stayed at Phantom Ranch both nights. The canyon is beautiful from the rim, but you see a lot of things down in the canyon that you don't see from the rim. South Kaibab has some great views because you are mostly on a ridge line. Bright Angel is mostly in a canyon so the views aren't as expansive.
The wild part is you see the grandeur of the canyon, and then you go to the visitor center and see a diorama that shows you the part you're looking at is only like 2% of it.
They are the best! 🤭😍 It’s a German company… I think you can only buy them on their website. Don’t know if they ship internationally… The brand is Kapten & Son and the backpack is called „Bali“.
Your footage was so real that I imagined being teleported to the Grand Canyon. Congratulations on the video and I recommend that you come one day to discover the city of Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!

WELCOME TO THE USA 🇺🇸 !!
Nice video. The first time I saw the canyon it literally took my breath away. No one on earth should die without ever seeing Grand Canyon.
oh yeah! It was a bucket list moment 😍

pictures and videos truly do not capture the scale of the canyon. You just have to see it for yourself. It's unbelievable.

Love the shots you did get, have fun!!
Glad you enjoyed the looooooong road-trip distances in the USA. A road trip is an American tradition.
Amen to that! I hope every American gets a chance to do a cross country road trip.

The Grand Canyon sucks all of the stress out of you.
You guys are so funny . The boring bits you guys find interesting. I do love the south west .
Really well done video! It's a completely amazing place isn't it. I love Horseshoe Bend too.
Was für eine Landschaft, was für tolle Aufnahmen👌😍
Wirklich wunderschön 😍
The guys that wanted to go north in the olden days couldn't believe their eyes either, but it didn't make them happy.

Someone reviewed this video? 😂
Nothing quite like that anywhere in the world! But the U.S. has many other one of a kind spectacular, the Sequoia Big Trees...
What an adventure. That is one of the worlds greatest views
It’s mind boggling 😍

Why haven't you been there?
@phyllist118 Never really had a reason to head up there. Plus, I don't have a ride, the time or money to afford a trip anyways.

Die Landschaft ist schon überwältigend👍
Ich bin sehr gespannt auf die nächsten Videos 😍
Wirklich Wahnsinn 😍
So beautiful!!
One doesn’t hear Tuba City that often. I grew up in Page which is an hour and a half north of you.
awesome video guys!!
Thanks so much Mike! Appreciate it:)
Hey guys, great videos! These backpacks look very nice and comfortable, could share where did you get them?
They are the best! 🤭😍 It’s a German company… I think you can only buy them on their website. Don’t know if they ship internationally… The brand is Kapten & Son and the backpack is called „Bali“.
@@isabelleandflo They seem to be shipping. :) Thanks a lot!
👍🙂
In what month was the video recorded? Love the content, I just subscribed to follow you guys! Never stop dreaming ❤️
Thanks :) it was just now in April.
No, for the Grand Canyon, it's like $35 for one vehicle for 1 full week.
Beautiful
thank you! 🥰
You are in America bro, you can wear your hoodie and sweatpants anywhere. lol
What trail did you take? Apologies if I missed it.
It’s called South Kaibab Trail :)
Your footage was so real that I imagined being teleported to the Grand Canyon. Congratulations on the video and I recommend that you come one day to discover the city of Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!
Can someone please tell me what that song is?
Lot of Bigfoot at the bottom of the canyon. That is why they dont let europeans down there.
