@@mrknowhere6457 Me too; one came through Tulsa about five years ago and it was just the light-leaking walls... NO props. When we first went in I could see the entire track, all in just one big room. That was the worst I've ever seen...
I have always wanted to buy one of those 2 level traveling dark rides...and put some money into it and make it actually good...slow it down , black out all the light leaks put a few decent props and sound and lighting...
It genuinely makes me feel so great to see this haunt get so much love. As cheesy as it is, this haunt is a big part of why I am who I am today. I spent all my summers at OC and even rode this 32 times total one summer. I still ride it any time I go and love to see my nephew enjoy it now. I went on to work at a haunted house for 9 years and live and breathe Halloween and truly give all the credit to trimpers haunted house. Last year (and other years) rumors came out it was closing and I’m just so thankful it hasn’t yet. I would chain myself to the building.
Definitely the best haunted house I’ve ever been on, the combination of the live actors, and how close you are to all the props and said actors, makes for a great ride
@@MentorBobproctor yeah they’ve definitely upped it! I wasn’t expecting an actor to almost shake our car off the track or chase as us at the end this year but I loved it
Well back in my day.... Morbid Manor used to be a great walk through attraction out on that pier, but sadly, like Castle Dracula in Wildwood, and Brigantine Castle in Brigantine Nj, they were all lost.
I loveddd the original morbid manor. I remember the people who would dress up and chase you. That damn coffin that would shake next to that fireplace with burning skulls and then a guy would pop out of it and chase u up the steps. Man the great memories. It was a sad day when I saw it burnt up. I wish they would have rebuilt it.
I was 6 in 1990 when I went through with my Pops but I closed my eyes the whole time and I got him to promise not to tell. The very next day I was able to get through it all legit. For me and my childhood, this is where it all begun.... I will always carry this place inside of me, wherever I go
It's MASSIVE RARE to find a double-decker carousel still in operation like that. There only 6 of them in the WORLD. It's even more rare to find original horses that have the real-hair tails like that. Majority of modern carousel animals are plastic or fiberglass. Wooden ones are rare :(
Love these old fashioned seaside fairgrounds, the haunted house i think is one of the best you’ve been on Jacob, and seemed like a really long ride, you have so many great places in America to visit soo good, very jealous loved the vlog, and your new little pal Joey, Thankyou Jacob
The Haunted House is Epic! So Good! I wish I could find a video of the Little Rascals (or older) in the dark ride when they played hooky. Such a great 30's representation of this type of ride!!!
That indoor part of the boardwalk looks awesome. I love those classic rides and the ones you filmed look like they’re in great shape. That place looked like a working museum.
Iran Graham, Trimpers has been a staple of Ocean City Md since 1890. The beautiful Carousel has been in continuous use delighting children of all ages since 1912. I grew up doing to the ocean and some of my best memories are from Trimpers rides, Ocean City wouldn't be the same without Trimper rides it truly is like taking a step back in time and getting to be a kid again.
Ahhhh, this was so nice to see! A lot of my extended family owns/works at Trimpers! The heavy zombie usage in the Haunted House was added to try and capitalize on the Walking Dead craze and Pirate's Cove used to be a NIGHTMARE to get through- it was super easy to get lost in. I haven't been on Morbid Manor, so I don't know much about it. The Jolly Roger pier was supposed to help draw in teens, hence why there's a TON of games and more 'thrill' type rides over there. The main Trimpers building with the carousel and all are all vintage antique rides! Supposedly one of the horses on the carousel is haunted! Shame Aladdin's Lamp isn't still around, I think you would have loved it.
The dark rides at the Ventura County Fair used to scare the heck out of me. It’s too bad that it’s closed again this year due to Covid. If you ever have the chance to drive out this way, you should check out the Ventura County Fair in Ventura, CA. Lots to do, lots of exhibits and such. Hopefully it will open up next year.
I like the old amusement rides, they have a personality of their own and interesting looking. The enclosed area with children’s rides was real nice, they can still ride when it’s raining. Even the building itself was themed. Newer rides are kind of bland looking. Yeah, that last dark ride was of the traveling carnival rip-off kind but you were nice about it.
As a local from OC, MD, I can tell you that you should have seen the original Morbid Manor. It was the BEST walk through haunted house! It had real actors portraying the monsters and fear factors. Unfortunately, it burned down. It had been destroyed once by a hurricane and rebuilt, but the fire just destroyed too much & they decided not to rebuild. The fire was so bad it had even destroyed most of the water park they had right next to it. Such a shame.
You should see if you can do a walkthrough of the terror ride and Dracula’s castle at lagoon amusement park in Farmington, UT. They both have terrific hand painted murals that are quite extensive and span across the entire entrance of the rides. Both rides were designed by Bill Tracy, you can tell just by the aesthetic. Classic rides, would love to see a guided walkthrough tour on your channel!
He went to lagoon and rode them both last year, but I agree, I've always wanted to see a lights on Walkthrough of those rides. Lagoon is an awesome park
Oh this was another awesome video Carpetbagger 💖 I loved the Dark rides but quite taken with the carousel, I've never seen a two storey one, it was beautiful 🎠💖
Thanks for coming to our state!! I live in Baltimore… I am opening my own haunted house attraction. I hope I have the honour of a visit from you one day
Love this vlog. I vacation in OCMD every year, and I was the only one in the family who would go with my nephew on the darks rides. Now that he is older, when we go to WDW, we make sure we are in the same Doom Buggy to keep up the tradition.

This has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. Every single year we go to Ocean City I would have to ride this ride about 10 times in a row each day. The smell alone is enough to creep you out If how ancient it is doesn't do it for you! A classic!!
P.s. It looks like they managed to remove the decades and decades worth of chewed gum that was stuck to the second entrance door on top 😂 . Oh how I will miss it.
I lived in Baltimore all my life and I've never been to Ocean City. Actually didn't have a desire to go until now once I've seen The Haunted House. Thanks for always providing great content Jacob!!
Classic Bill Tracey. Makes me miss the 3 lost Dorney attractions he did even more. The big skull was a signature of his and wound up in just about everything.
There would probably be more Tracy dark rides still around if the parks they were at didn't close down. For example: Haunted Castle at Miracle Strip Amusement Park, Whacky Shack at Joyland, Castle of Terror at Rocky Point Park, and Phantasmagoria at Bell's Amusement Park, to name a few.
Morbid manor used to be a walk through and had real actors at one point but burned down. Over the years the theme has changed MANY times. When I was younger I remember being able to see a dragon at the top of what I thought was a spiral lift? Either way there were also two dragons coming down the front back then too. Then it changed to morbid manor 2, then clowns took over, and now is the current version.
I'm 50 and my grandparents took my mom to OC and I took my kids and I'm sure my kids will take their kids.Other than some small changes in the 80s the ride through haunted house is the same for decades and definitely my favorite.I remember being young enough it scared me.

The original walkthrough Morbid Manor from the late 70/early 80's literally scared the shit out of you. I was terrified of the place when I was a kid but kept going back year after year. It had live actors that were mostly local college theater students...they would grab you and lock you in pitch black rooms until you found the door to get out and chase you out of the place with a chainsaw....good times! Shame it burnt to the ground in the early 90's.
Very AWESOME haunted house, pirates cove, morbid manor, and dark ride! The train with the light and zombies were my favorite attractions! ALL the attractions were very COOL, including PENNYWISE and the ghost in the pirates cove! The roller coasters look like a lot of fun to. Very NICE pier and a very GOOD view of the ocean!
