Anyway, I was gonna move my betta, Dori to a better home in a few weeks. But a grim discovery forced the move sooner.
I found some white, short, squiggling noodles on the tank's glass, so I immediately evacuated Dori. Not sure what those critters are yet. But to be safe, I quarantined and put Dori on a treatment plan.

Could be detritus worms? If so they're harmless. Pretty betta!

You are correct. After much research, I can confirm they are detritus and harmless, or even beneficial in small quantity.
