    Pete, another fine collection of excellent landings with some of the finest airplanes around. I especially appreciated the skill shown on that very firstWellington landing. I don't recall ever seeing someone bounce and have to offending gear drop only half way and stay locked in that position long enough to save the landing. That was skillful on the pilots part and amazing that the gear did indeed stay where needed. Thankyou for the Holiday "fix" of great RC work. Happy Holidays and God Bless, Paul from Florida.

    The failed-right gear- Halifax (or Wellington) is the best...Just like a grey morning in Lincolnshire, 1940 after taking hydraulic damage in light FlaK.. bravo. Thanks for post

    Is there a button on the controller to cut the engines. I wonder if cutting the engines on landing is possible to avoid damage to the propellers if the plane nose dives if hitting ruts in grass or pebbles on the tarmack.

    Some were awesome, most were average.
    But still good considering the cross winds.
    And no I couldn't do better.
    I class awesome when you literally can't tell if it's real or a model.

    what a shame people use twin blade props on scale aircraft like that beautiful Lancaster, go to all the trouble of making it look scale only to completely ignore the propellers like that, I understand it's for better power but you wouldn't put jet engines on a Lancaster for better power so why not at least try scale props, how bad can they be ?

    • @Whitpusmc
      @Whitpusmc 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gail Raby Unfortunately scale props are much less efficient (since air molecules are the same size regardless of airplane size) and unless a gear drive is fitted the power curves just don’t work out. In the end safety trumps realism as that Lanc would be a handful If underpowered. But I’m with you, would be much nicer with scale sized and shaped props.

      +Whitpusmc
      I have a few scale rc aircraft, only one ww2 fighter (hurricane mk1), it has a 3 blade prop and flys very well, I've seen Mosquito with 3 blade props, I understand about the power, but 3 blade scale props are possible.

    • @Whitpusmc
      @Whitpusmc 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gail Raby absolutely I have a corsair that flew with a three bladed prop for a while but I went back to two blade prop because the performance was significantly better and it was more difficult to get the three blade in balance.

  • @woooster17
    @woooster17 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why not 3 blade scale props.. efficiency?

    • @woooster17
      @woooster17 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not that this really matters, but why is there a Rockwell OV-10 Bronco in this video? That is a relatively modern aircraft. Still, awesome videos!!!!!

    2 of the biggest mistakes I see these pilots making is dive bombing the runway and then pulling the sh!t out of the elevator and breaking the landing gear, and for the rest who manage to land the planes, they hoof the rudder to one side while at high speed on the ground.
    Land softly and at a slow decent and keep the plane trajectory in a straight line until the plane comes to a stop. #rcflying101

      @cloakedgt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      they also dont tune their flaps, that British version of the C47 had barely any flaps i think it comes down to skill and laziness level lol, they overcorrect too many times even when they land, gotta let it naturally loose velocity and keep the nose slightly up, i havent flown an RC plane since 15 years ago at 6 years old and i even know that lol. i bet half of them are new and paid to get them built or bought one turn key
