I know this is a year late, but WHAT?!? Genuinely did not expect one of my favorite animators to be a fan of this incredibly underrated band! Hey DeepBlueInk!
god I love this band so much, the dynamics are insane, the little interludes, crows live vocals, everyone is so good at their instruments and the songs just hit. Amazing work, glad to see u guys grow
They are so talented I can't stand it! Crow has such a powerful voice and I'm so impressed with the lyricism and general vibes of the whole group. Can't wait to see more!
10:51 I LOVE seeing a musician really getting into their performance. 12:12 Gosh I love this band more every minute haha 14:20 this has to be the most content guitarist in the world 23:37 My girl loses her headphones and just keeps going
I like it. Its different. I can't say im i fan of the vocal lyrical style which i think is trending lately. But I'd be down to check out more of there stuff .
I've been so busy that I hadn't gotten a chance to watch this, and man, hearing the intro and immediately recognizing it as boggle instantly took me back to the day I found mega mango -- this band is def my new favorite :)
i know most people wont see it ..but i haven't felt this level of talent per person and sincerity since "at the drive in"...where its kinda intimidating cause its like they are controlling chaos in those feedback loops and harmonic inflections and they can repeat it consistently......and then the vocals grab your heart strings with impunity...its feelings weither you want to or not
Why don't their studio songs have as prominent of a lead guitar? That's what makes this band for me, so these are the only songs by them that I have downloaded
So, I was watching a recent Rick Beato video where he was talking about a minor internet storm in a teacup over an artist cancelling a live show because they had lost the laptop with their backing tracks. Rick's take was that stuff like this had existed for years, and that all that really matters is whether it sounds good or not. I found myself (unusually) opinionless on the matter. Bands I've been into don't do this to the very best of my knowledge, so who am I to judge? I'd not heard of Mega Mango before watching this video. Honestly, first song I just enjoyed for what it was. Then the second...I dunno. There's total transparency about it and there's no question that the band are playing live over the recording, so it feels like it shouldn't matter. Yet I find myself oddly bothered by it, and I wish I could listen to them play without the recording. I suspect that I may have transitioned to that unfavourable musical state of being "old." That I'm hanging on to "that's not how we did it in my day," and unable to adapt to modern musical methods. I think I'll find it easier to listen to them on record. Hopefully I can pick up one of their LPs to play on my gramophone.
The studio version of that track also includes the backing track, which pops in and out here or there. Pretty sure it's a deliberate artistic choice and not a crutch.
@@cluebcke Oh, I'm definitely not accusing them of using a crutch here. They're doing it for the sound and I don't have a good reason why they shouldn't do what they are doing. It just feels odd to me because it's not what I'm used to, I suspect.
An absolutely unbelievably tight 25 mins, if this doesn't convince you to check out the rest of their stuff, nothing will ❤️

I love the originals but these versions are so so good, i listen to them both!!
you can tell that mega mango just puts EVERYTHING into the music 👏🏽

Go see these dudes live if you can. Saw them at a show with maybe 50 people in Phoenix, and they rocked; super tight!

I would avoid taking in too much of Beato’s videos. He is a bit of a hack, unfortunately
new find for me, they rip.
Sammy P hitting us with the sauce
