In case you’re wondering who the random bloke was shouting you in Crosby today….it was me after spotting you crossing the road whilst on your route 😆🙌🏻
You're the star of the show - seeing the smiles on ppl's faces as you deliver many Christmas gifts must be a special experience. Consequently your job must be incredibly rewarding.
I know I'm one of the best drivers at our depot.. This is why I get the shit routes.. But I get them done.. One lad had Preston center and finished at 21:30 even when someone helped and took 40 stops off him.. I did it the next day and completely finished all by 6.30pm 🎉
Ive found organising parcels by street rather than Assist number has really sped me up. That way I am more likely to notice when I can grab an extra parcel or envelope without looking at the map or list so often. It makes it easy to stick a smaller number of parcels on a short street “in the basket”. The parcels often dont come out the van in DA order, so DA ordering is a waste of time for me. The other day, one stop I had 8 parcels to five houses… amount of stops are meaning less and less when multis are high, as far as times concerned.
I've done it six years and have always said if you see 145 stops but 185 locations your doing 185 stops and I stopped doing the route in amazon's order a long time ago I do it in my own order sometimes the stops what meant to be first I do last lol
Zac, I have got to say that the way you get your deliveries done in the time you have, and the amount is AMAZING! I would love to know how did you get signed up?😊
I do Amazon and I finish about 4,5 every day rarely go up to later than 7 if I do it’s a bad day, all depends on the area tbh if you have decent area doorstopping is the best and quickest way to get done
Couldn't agree more mate I'm the same nice area doorstepping or put it behind or over gate n card through door saying where it is job done and don't follow the route in amazon's order
Massive respect mate thats ridiculous drops on a day rate.... I do Flex and get paid ok for 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 hour blocks etc... 175 stops with 300+ parcels, ridiculous for day rate. Get it though pal money is money.
This is the complaint that we have at the moment, we don’t leave the station until 11:00-11:30, half of the day is wasted, then about only 3-4 hours into the route and it’s already started to get dark at this time of year
The parcels that you’re dropping in porches without taking pictures, what are you marking on the app options for delivery? I want to be that quick but it wants me to take pictures when I do that otherwise it’s mark as handed to customer? Help me speed up lol
bro respect you i done it a few weeks ago the money is shite for how many you have to deliver especially if you dont know the route or place your delivering it works out less than min wage not for me i dont understand why people keep doing it crazy lol
Do you often need to unload some parcels onto another driver in order to finish on time? If so how does that affect your pay? p.s I love your videos, really helpful insight into the job
I do amazon and the group I work for at this time of year they usually have a couple of drivers who go round everyone taking 1 bag of each driver whether your struggling or not it just helps a bit n gets every driver finished a bit earlier
I got an interview on Friday for Amazon, do you have to sort out all the parcels in the morning before they go onto your van or are they done for you? Kind of wondering why you start your route so late in the morning?
It's all done ready for you all you have to do at the depot is grab your cages and load even the route is mapped out for you and I'd say if your a new driver follow the route I'm experienced so I don't follow amazon's order I do the route how I want to lol
And about starting so late that's beyond us driver's control with me personally my depot is in Birmingham I have to be there at 10:20am load then at the moment our routes are in Wolverhampton which is a good 45 minutes to a hour away
One last piece of advice if you're quite far from the depot try and finish before the debrief closes so you can give any returns you got to them otherwise if you miss them you will have to go back to the depot yourself I don't know what time the debrief will finish at your depot but at mine it's about 6:30pm or if there vans full before that they will go earlier
Hi m8 just checking, doing my 2 ride along shifts b4 out on my own,1 guy if no one was home says if a customer isn’t home and we’ve tried texting/calling them they’ve not replied,no designated spot to leave parcel so he said we had to return ltr to deliver.none of the packages req signature/password so could we not have just left it somewhere safe/out of sight and put a we missed you note thru the letterbox stating where it was? Seemed to me the obvious thing to do but he says no ‘door stepping’💁
The guy doing your ride along is a jobsworth doing everything by the book I've done it six years first try a neighbour if not put somewhere n leave a card through door
@@darrennorgrove8734 thanks for the reply m8. Aye that’s exactly what I thought he was. Could not understand why he didn’t leave it with someone or in a safe place with the note. Yh as long as it's out of sight with a card through door sound amazon don't like any parcels coming back but especially this time of year they tell you nothing back get rid of every parcel
And I don't re attempt obviously I can't leave age verified or otp parcels anywhere but I don't go back at the end I just go on flight mode mark it as customer not available again n take it de brief job done lol
