    Notice how much the track sways and flexes at various points of the ride?! Wow...

      It's completely normal, it's a way of the track exerting the g forces placed on it without breaking or damaging the structure too much.

      Its supposed to sway a bit. If it doesn't at all, it means it can break down. Excessive swaying can also be a concern though, but here it looks just fine.

      That's normal in RMC structures.

    • @ts4gv
      @ts4gv ปีที่แล้ว +1

      secret to the rmc smoothness
      steel track keeps the train in place, wood structures are shock absorbers (or at least that's how i think about it)
      combined with a low budget (if renovating an older coaster) & super creative track designs, RMC is the best thing to happen to rollercoaters in decades

      It was my first RMC also
      and I live in Miami. I just got back from Orlando and added 8 more coasters to my credit list including the insane Velocicoaster. I’m going to Bush Gardens Tampa in 2 weeks to Ride Iron Gwazi which will be my second RMC.

    Such an awesome/amazing ride! Best ride in the park by far! Use to think Millennium force was the best until they revamp the mean streak (now known as steel vengeance). I've enjoyed this party for decades. Truly the best for coasters this side of the country.

    This is such an awesome coaster, but when I see the tracks wobble like that after the train was passing through it made me nervous LOL

    • @whitneyg9150
      @whitneyg9150 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      With a wooden coaster (or one with wooden supports) you want some movement. Think of it like a tree shaking in the wind. Wood will break if its rigid enough, it should move a bit with the forces exerted on it to absorb the movement.
      One exception was son of beast. If you watch off ride footage of that, it moves WAY too much. One of the major issues with it. Not that SteVe doesnt have struggles either because it does, making a hyper coaster with wooden supports is a challenge all on it's own. It's a lot of stress on the wood.

    Is it normal that you can see the construction moving/wobbling after the train has passed like on 1:31 and on 1:40 min ? Saw it a couple times earlier in the video aswell.

      @@teentitans0789 I agree with you that the structure "sway" looks a little bit excessive.

    • @squares4u
      @squares4u 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@teentitans0789 That makes sense for steel supports which are basically unbreakable, but wood? It seems dangerous. Doesn’t wood warp and bend over time? Won’t that affect the strength of the supports?

    • @bonjernoorr
      @bonjernoorr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@squares4u I rode SteVe twice this week. The flexing and wobble is all part of the design so the force of the train moving over the track is dispersed. Even steel coasters sway, you just don’t see it unless you’re looking for it. Maintenance is also constantly checking and replacing wood on Steel Vengeance, especially in the areas that have the most sway.
