@@ladonna1902 i went to cp last september and i can say that is very difficult to keep the hands up hahaha steel vengeance has a lot of airtime... well, it was my first time in a roller coaster, i was a little scared ahahha
Isn't that crazy, just imagine being Alan Schilke spending so long designing such a crazy ride on computer and paper and then riding it in its full glory...
I love how Alan schilke is right behind them. He’s probably laughing to himself evilly that he scared this guy with his awesome creation lol. Schilke is the true god of coasters lol
I do vaguely remember a screaming goat video on this ride now that you mention it, but I wasn’t referencing it with my comment, just the screaming goat thing in general
Who else loves that steel vengeance along with a lot of other RMC’s basically force you to have your hands up because they don’t have a lot of things to hold onto😂😂
lmfaooooo i rode Goliath at Six Flags Great Am a few weekends ago, which is an RMC. I was gripping on to the side handle for dear life i'lll probably be gripping on to the lap bar for dear life if i ever ride this coaster lmfao
Oh lord this poor man is just like me. Every single drop and movement I have to scream...idk if my stomach is sensitive or what but if I don't scream my soul feels like it leaves my body 🤣💖
Ouch. I feel his pain. I've only been on one RMC and that was my reaction, as well as "What no hand grips?" Yikes. Never again, but I envy those who can enjoy such coasters.
When I saw the snot, I could feel the tears streaming! This was hilarious! Cedar Point is the best amusement park I have ever been to, and I can’t wait to get back there! All we have here is 6 flags 🥺🤷🏾♀️
this and maverick are my two favorite all time rides. wo of the best coasters anywhere on the planet imo, and they are in the same park, right next to each other. insane.
That was my thought in my head riding twisted colossus..smh...ima get to this ride one day before the end of my life.but man oh man...I'll be screaming like gwen was
@@thomasshaw7849 I finally ended up riding it with my niece, who.. shocked LOVES this ride! Lol! I learned that my secret was tightening that seat belt until I coant breathe...LOL then atleast I didnt feel like that ride wouldn't be my last on earth. Hahah!! I do love the ride actually now!
I love how he said i only get 1 strap i have rode steele vengeance more than 2 times now and it gets better every time i love it i also work there and amazing job to the people who designed it love it love it❤
Just gotta say, I stumbled onto this video since I was watching a lot of Steel Vengeance related videos. Glad to see I'm not the only one who reacts to roller coasters like that!
I was watching this clip mesmerised by the guy's hair in the seat behind. Thought he must be a genius or mad to have hair like that. Then saw all the comments. Turns out he IS a mad genius. Hair checks out.
I have to say that I can relate. I'm not a big fan of coasters and this was my first proper "thrill ride". I did the exact same thing you did, but I cursed the entire time. And believe it or not...I'd do it again, at least if I HAVE to. Just have to get myself in the right mindset.
Does the safety belt seem to have a fair amount of slack to it? Just wondering, i'm about 6ft 4in and about 265 lbs i don't consider myself to be particularly fat but some rides seem to give me more trouble than others as far as being able to buckle the restraints. Just curious any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
I'd be more worried about the lap bar. Most lap bars don't start clicking until a ways down. A friend of mine is about your size and wasn't able to ride Twisted Colossus at Magic Mountain because they just barely couldn't push his lap bar down far enough to get it to the first click.
Shadow Prince RMC lapbars don’t click actually as they are hydraulic and don’t use a ratcheting system. You just have to push them down far enough to trigger the green light which is the minimum distance that they must go down. On Steel Vengeance they will not try and staple you, if they don’t get it good on the first try they will make you get off.
TheMajorRagequit thanks for the reply! I was able to ride it. But every time the coaster gets some air it lifts me out of the seat and with this particular lap bar it feels like someone is beating my legs with a sledgehammer. Not sure what I can do about it maybe try and position differently. It would be an awesome ride if I wasn’t doubled over in pain every time it whipped you around a bit lol
The rides designer... is right.... BEHIND YOU!!! Your reaction thoughout the duration is friggen hilarious!
The designer kept his hands up almost the whole time.
I was legit about to make this comment but no need as this nails it

Oh my god! That IS HIM! :O
Alan Shilcke, designer for RMC
Alan, hearing all that screaming has to be like, " I did my job."
Probably Alan's favorite time riding it lol
I love how about 50% of the comments are about Alan Schilke being right behind him.
More than 50%.
Alan Schilke doesn't get air time. he gets hair time
I like how all you guys know him

It's all good.
I had to come to the comments before watching once I saw Alan!
Derek White - ALAAAAN! AL!
I'd be careful with yelling like that. You might attract a flock of seagulls looking to mate.
😄😄
😆😆😆😆
Lol
🤣😂🤣😂
LOL 🤣 😂
Riding behind is Alan Schilke (the ride's designer) and Jake Kilcup (RMC's chief operating officer). Awesome.
Meanwhile Alan Schilke yawning at 00:57! lol it's all in a day's work to him
The guy behind you is Alan Schilke. Funny screaming, though!

Literally me when I rode my first RMC (Twisted Timbers). I screamed, I hollered, I shouted, then I couldn't breathe. Yep, in that order.
Who else thinks that the most fun part of the video is watching Alan Schilke trying to handle his hat?
"There's more!" - Andy

And then there's Alan yawning as the train leaves the station
