    Great video, I've got one of these on a bass I just got and haven't set it up yet. Awesome explanation.

    I might need something like this. The intonation on my cheap Korean bass is horrible but it was only $100 so you get what you pay for. If this Babicz thing is real expensive, might be an upgrade for a future better bass with less issues than mine. Looks sweet! Thanks for sharing. :)

    Nice review. Just picked up a MIJ Precision that has the same vintage bridge. I don’t pick particularly hard, but I was managing to knock the saddles around. This might be the ticket, but I do find the look to be a bit too modern for my otherwise classic looking P bass.

      He said there is no difference. He prefers the way how it intonates. And probably the appearance

    What about side to side string adjustment? I noticed the E string isn't centered in between the pick up magnets. or does it make adiference?
    On high end basses. Ive noticed the Strings are Always Centered between the Magnets on the pick ups of each string.

    Gotta ask...how does it compare to a Badass ll bridge?

    Recently purchased a squire dimension bass for a stupid good deal. I am curious if buying any somewhat “nice” bridge would actually effect intonation/staying in tune or if should just buy a stock bridge? I have to purchase a new bridge regardless

    My man... just bought a bunch of new strings but still re-string the bass with the old ones. :)

    GREAT VID! strait to the topic no boring chit chat! Instructional, To the point. I assume they are most likely yur friends but couldn't you get a little better bumper music, that out of tune head bangin stuff is sooo yesterday!

    How was your string height/action afterwards? It looks much thicker/taller than the original bridge. This is why I am on the fence about swapping out mine.

      Me, Myself and I feels great! Everything is adjustable!

      Okay, good to know. I have a Gotoh bridge for my J-Bass. But I’ve heard of guys having issues where, the saddles are bottomed out and the action is still way too high. Due to the significant difference in thickness of the bridge plate, saddles, ect. on the high mass bridges... Oh well, change it out and see what happens I guess..

    Never understood why Fender puts shitty bridges on 1000 dollar plus basses. Thanks for the heads up on this one. I will definitely be putting one on my new areodyne. Beautiful bass with a crappy bridge. Peace out brother.

    Will it fit a Squier PJ bass?

    • @MattReillyProductions
      @MattReillyProductions  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Anthony Sclafani I believe it does. If the Squier bass has a five-screw vintage style Fender bridge you’ll be good to go!

    But.............. does it sound better?

    • @MattReillyProductions
      @MattReillyProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! The sustain and added intonation stability make the bass sound more in-tune with itself and harmonically rich. Subtle of course, but definitely makes the bass sound more musical- especially if your current bridge is causing intonation issues!
