    Looks killer with that platform dude.
    I don’t know how Yakima isn’t bigger in the 4x4 world, they make quality products. I run the Yakima aceOspades lockable shovel holder and is by far the best design I’ve seen around yet.

    Thanks for the review. Was there much mucking around from going from the Rhino-rack Backbone system to the Yakima Platform? Also, I'm trying to find out if the backbone system will fit my MN Triton. So far they only have it fitting the MQ model. Do you know if this would work as you had to do a similar thing. Cheers

      No mate it fit perfectly as the mounts on the Yakima move around nicely to any spot you need them to be, then you just lock it down.

    Awesome vid ty 👌🏽I am in the market shopping for a roof rack and came down to these two as well for my Toyota Fortuner. I was leaning towards the rhino pioneer until I read the reviews about noise and watched your vid. A year later how is the Yakima, you still happy?

    The only reason I went with pioneer platform is they had a 107×58 platform.
    Do you know if the yakima universal mounts will work with pioneer?

    Did you have any issues fitting the Yakima LockNLoad to the Rhino Barebone? How are they holding up presently?

      No issues putting this set up together, still going strong today

      Yakima makes something similar to the Barebone. Yakima has the Ruggedline. Unfortunately, it’s not sold in the states. Barebones looks great and they are basically the same thing. Thanks

    Great looking truck man. What year is your truck? I have a 2012 and I'm looking to do the same kinda setup on the cab. What dimensions is your platform? Yakima has just released the lock and load in US.

      Thanks mate, mines a 2014. My platform is a larger one cut down as I couldn’t get one to fit the truck. I will measure it for you shortly. Cheers

      TY FENWICK I'd appreciate that. Yakima is offering several sizes for the 250 but yours fits like a glove. Hopefully they offer dimensions very close to yours.

      Mines been fine, not bad at all. Mine has a wind defector fitted standard on the platform.

      I had my local roof rack shop install mine, hardest part was finding one to fit I think we used a Toyota prado one from memory. Only because rhino don’t make one for the f truck. I’d highly recommend getting a qualified shop to fit the back bone as it’s requires drilling into the roof etc.

      The mounts on the Yakima can move around and they lined up with the holes on the backbone 👍🏼

    Sweet rig bro! I have Yakima racking on my Tacoma bed. Probably going to get the Prinsu, just for the simple fact that I have the sun/moon roof and the Prinsu allows for the cross bars to be bolted accordingly, so it's still usable. Cheers, from NorCal.

    What is the height (thickness) of the platform excluding the legs?

    Rhino-Rack Pioneer 2 corners are plastic and very difficult to assemble due to cheap screws and tight angles.

    Which Prado backbone did you use? There’s a 150 model and a 120 model. Not sure the difference. I have a ‘15 F-150.

      I think it might have been a LC200 back bone mate, if you’re going to get one fitted I’d suggest going to a store and just trying a bunch of back bones on the roof till one fits the contour.

      I went with a larger suv platform then cut it down to fit the roof of the f250 perfect. As Yakima don’t make one for the f250 we had to customise it.
