Just look at 22:10 there are only 2 England players defending virtually the whole of their right side of the field. Some positional awareness by the Wallaby backs should have led to an easy run in at this point.
Come now brothers, sister and non binaries! Settle in beside the fire as the font of entertainment and knowledge is about to wax lyrical on the "once were's" the "fallen giants" the "not so golden boys" and talk about MY Wallabies. Yeah the boys/girls/non binaries!
If Schmidt makes space for Brumbies winger Corey Toole in the coming years, he's a reasonable chance of being the fastest player on the planet. Would complement this team marvellously.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a performance where I’ve been able to wear my wallaby jersey confidently walking through Bondi. Us die hards are few and far between in Australia these days… but man it felt good to hear people shout “wallabies are back!” from a passing car or the mutual fist pumps with complete strangers as I walked along the beach… we’ve had a tough road the last 20 years, but for the first time in what seems like forever we got to be proud of our team again. Important few years ahead for Australia that’ll make or break the game here. We needed this, let’s hope it’s the start of something special.
The gene pool for the 15 man game is way too small in Australia. If you're not lucky enough to go to a GPS school, the 13 man game gets the majority of the gene pool.
Would love to see the Wallabies return to glory even as a Welshman. Rugby just hasn't been the same since they've become a 2nd tier team in recent years
@@sachinbangaru737which is strange considering that for a large portion of the last 20 years the Kiwis and Wallabies have wanted the Boks and then later the Pumas out.
As a wallaby supporter, I’m under no illusion a grand slam is still highly unlikely. What pleases me is there have been tangible improvements all year, even in some of our worst score lines. Thanks for the analysis fellas.
The foundations have been definitely building throughout the year. The second Argie test was a setback but even that made things feel like 1996 again when they'd come off a poor RWC in SA, got belted by the All Blacks and started their repair back to 99 RWC glory 🙏
Based off that performance, I'm confident you'll beat wales, and i reckon you've got a good shot at Scotland. I got a feeling that ireland is gonna be the decider.
@@AbeHopwood from a Wallabies perspective - certainly hope so. But inconsistency has plagued our game for the last 2 decades - we got a way to go to put that beast to bed
Maybe Schmidt will help with the consistency. That was something he brought to Ireland at the time. Before him they were much more liable to have done absolute shockers and afterwards the losses were more like flat performances but less meltdowns.
I think this team certainly has the best of Wales- both of them have been pretty unpredictable over the last few years but I think it’s Wallabies’ to lose. Kind of depends on whether Scotland can control themselves at Murrayfield but I still think it’s winnable Ireland is still the biggest test but cracks were visible against NZ and with a few runs of momentum I don’t think it’s impossible to topple them Best of luck from a Scot!
13:28 it’s Nick Frost, got a few mins there you got Jeremy Williams and Frosty mixed up. Brilliant video regardless Squidge! Kept refreshing your channel’s front page waiting for this video to pop up.
Fantastic video. Thank for you being so enthusiastic about the Wallabies and for cleverly referencing moments from the past - all felt epic. As an Aussie, I've been waiting for a turn around and it's inspiring to see the rest of the world want to see us do well. We've left a bit of a hole in the international game. Hopefully we maintain it. I also have to say the English attack looked awesome at times. The first English try was an absolute thing of beauty - forwards passing at speed and finishing. England could easily be up 4 wins this year against the ABs and Oz.
@ I can only say I agree! Felt pretty good walking through the stadium smug as anything occasionally seeing other gleeful golden shirts whilst many red or white shirts trundled through the stadium to get back to their cars. I’ll probably remember this game for a long old time
Far better than mine, Wallabies v All Blacks at Docklands in 2022. I had just been told that I had failed uni two hours before kickoff, that ending did not help. This win has been amazing for australian rugby, hopefully we can go further now.
I’m English, and as much as I loathe myself for it, I couldn’t help myself but root a little bit for the Wallabies because they just played such good rugby - this was fun and they looked like they enjoyed it
That game has given me so much hope for the Wallabies. England I thought played extremely well but for the Wallabies to match them and then steal the win like that is something I don't think I would have thought possible a year ago. It was the best game from the boys in a long time
Bobby V has stood out as one of their quality players in the past few years, Ikitau is another player that is underrated at times but does the hard yards. Even with last year’s disaster for the Wallabies, Bell was one of their stand out players for them, his stock will rise
Joe Smit has transformed Australia into a more competitive unit, the kind the All Blacks looking forward to in Bledisloe Cup rivalry. Welcome back Wallabies!
Suailili has definitely been a spark in the squad. After all of the media here, to see him shine in a gold jersey is absolutely grand. Don't think a grand slam is on the cards, but as you so eloquently put, this was a performance the lads can hang their hats on.

Yes us Aussies would haven’t been unhappy to lose it was such a great game.
As a non-neutral Wallabies supporter it's BY FAR the best game of rugby I've watched in... ugh, feels like a decade.
There is serious hope for the wallabies. The handling of their backline was honestly tremendous, with plenty of speed to compliment it.
Their backline looking like old school Aussies 👍👍👍
