“Exploring Murderer’s Gulch”

Today we are travelling down a steep windy road known as Wards Ferry Road to a place once known as "Murderers Gulch" during the California Gold Rush. Time to explore both the past and the present. at this Tuolumne County site is officially called Wards Ferry Bridge but is more commonly known as Graffiti Bridge.

Oh my. So beautiful. Look at the lupines and poppies in bloom on the hillside about the Tuolumne River. That bridge is actually really beautiful too. Some of those roads in the mother lode can be very narrow but are worth the trek. Thank you for sharing!

Less than 20 minutes from my home in Sonora. Hot in the summer and the Tuolumne River is pretty cold. Great rafting and great fishing too. You're right about the layers of Graffiti. My boys and I left our mark only to come back 2 weeks later and covered!

Be careful on that road. People drive fast and you barley have room to drive one car on the road.

Yes, I have met many vehicles going the other way. One of us will generally have to back up a ways to find a wide enough spot to get around.

If the graffiti was left for the bridge alone, "ok." It is quite beautiful, but it looks as though the graffiti is everywhere, and that is quite disappointing. 🤬

LOL, that wasn't the narrow part in the vid. That was the wide part leading up to the narrow part.
