Love your content Steve. I’m ‘one of those’ who does enjoy a proper detailing session (and I do wash the roof, every time). Tips, for what it’s worth. 1. Get yourself a proper snow foam cannon (Autobrite Direct, no affiliation - that Karcher one you’re using is bobbins), and use a good snow foam (Bilt Hamber, no affiliation). Let the snow foam dwell for a few mins then rinse it off before you contact wash. This will 80% clean the van before you put mitt to paint (preventing swirls). 2. Do the wheels first. Yours are like mine, fiddly and a pain in the ‘arris - get that job done and then enjoy the rest of the process. 3. I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to this stuff, but use a 3 bucket method - Wash, Rinse and Wheels buckets, with grit guards in each. Wash is for suds, Rinse is to clean your mitt off before you go back into the wash bucket and Wheels is for, well, no need to explain that one, but this will be your muckiest bucket at the end of every wash. Using this method you should end up with your Wash bucket being pretty much pristine when you empty it down the drain. I could go on, but I’ll end up boring people. Love cleaning m’van, Buddhist Zen time. Keep up the good work pal. Subscribed and watched all your content.
If I were you Steve I would allow the pre-wash to dwell and rinse this off with the pressure wash before making contact and using the wash mit. That way you're removing as much grime and grit off the van first before making contact, and reducing the risk of swirls and hazing

Not related to cleaning but at 8:26 your door sounds very solid when you close it. Is this due to additional seals in the door? If so where from? I have bought some but I think they are too small and have not made any difference. Cheers.
Hi, Yes I found the door closure changed radically when I had the Dynomat fitted and the extra seals together. They put my seals on as the same time when I was at Dirty Weekender Adventure Vans and made a huge difference as a combo. When you know on the door it feels solid not tinny👍
@@mcyoon77 I think they are about 16mm, they are a secondary seal so as well as the factory seal. I think I saw them on Travelin lite website and customveedubs site too. Or you could call Dirty Weekender Vans on 01905 353880 and they might do a mail order 👍

Hi Steve I'm a fellow Vdubber and a valetor, a few tips for you. Jet wash the whole van first to get rid of loose dirt, snowfoam then leave to dwell then Jetwash off this gets rid of any last bits of dirt before you even touch the van with a wash mit. This prevents anything scratching the van.
