Now I know what to do with all this ink and tools, I can now start. I can watch and do this along with your video, isn’t technology wonderful. Thanks for your guidance Lisa👍🇨🇦
Thank you Lisa for this tutoriel !!! It's verry interesting.👍💗 I love so much the flower what you do with alcohol. The petals look like silk. 🤍🤍🤍 Verry beautiful. ❤❤❤
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us as well as your guidance. You are appreciated 🤗❤️ May you be blessed with love and light that you deserve 🩵🔆🙏🏼
Excellent video Lisa !!! Beautiful work, can't wait to give this a try sometime. Thank you so much for creating a great detailed tutorial video !! 💜💜😊😊
Thank you, Julie and thanks so much for being here! I'm excited for your to try it too but be patient with yourself...it may feel like herding cats at first! lol!!!❤🙏❤
This is just a.w.e.s.o.m.e! This technique is magical and especially the last flower of this video is really impressive Lisa! Nice to hear your voice too :) Have a good day dear one 🌺💚🌺💚🌺
Lisa this is stunning. I haven't done any alcohol in yet and was also worried about the arthritis in my thumb as well! That tip alone was so helpful! I don't have any black paper but now at least I have some tips that will help! TYSM❤
I am excited to try this. How do you pick your colors? I'd love to see more of this from you. You re beautiful artist and one of my favorite to watch. Thank you for sharing your gift with us!!❤
Very very nice paint !!! I liké very much the choises of colors. My english is not very good 😂...donc je reprends en français, j'adore la transparence des pétales. Il me faudra du temps pour faire la même chose... 😅 En tous les cas j'adore 👏👏♥️♥️♥️👍
Lisa your demonstration makes it look so easy. I know you have practiced and practiced, so that is what it will take for me also. Thank you for this demo. What paper do you recommend ?
Thank you, Linda! My favorite paper is the Grafix Art Plastic but it does warp if you use heat on it. The Nara paper is the one option that doesn't warp with heat and can be wiped clean without staining but is pricier.
That's really beautiful. It has a ethereal look. Thank you for this tutorial. I've been thinking about taking up alcohol ink painting. Are there a full range of colours and metallic colours in this art?
As another commenter said I now know what to do with the inks I purchased. Thank you so much for sharing this. The piece came out stunning. Just one question t seems to dry very quickly. Am I right? Again thank you Lisa
Thank you, Patti! Yes, they dry almost as quickly as pure alcohol so you can finish your masterpiece in one day which helps with the instant gratification! lol!!!❤🙏❤
I love this! I've been seeing alcohol ink in the art shop and have been wondering what it was. This is my first time here. Your work is fabulous, the flower is amazing. I was a bit confused when you were adding the middle dots. They kept disappearing. Do they form cells? Thank you for sharing. 🩷✌️🩷
Thank you, Micaylah! I like to add white to the centers for a more 3-D dimensional look and yes, it takes a while when you're using white ink to dot in the black but you can also use acrylic pens to add the dots. No cells with alcohol inks!!!❤🙏❤
Gorgeous work! I have a question….. Can you accomplish the ghost look if you use water color paper? Black paper with white paint and alcohol. Would the texture work?
Thank you, Sheri! I think the watercolor paper might be too absorbent to work with inks but haven't tried it so that's just a guess. I'd think the smoother, hot pressed paper would be the better choice if either were to work.
Thank you, Zena! Plastic is the normal substrate for alcohol ink art but I've done them on canvas too (they're just a lot more difficult!) th-cam.com/video/wn3ALT_FbZM/w-d-xo.html

Hola!!! Grqcias
This video is using alcohol inks only- no acrylic paint. The paper underneath is a plastic, craft paper. It may be difficult to find alcohol inks but the alcohol used to dilute the colors is probably standard everywhere.
Gracias
I have a bunch of alcohol inks and some 99 or 91 alcohol do you have a mixing tutorial as far as do you just put the ink straight out of the bottle on top of the alcohol? Maybe you said it and I missed it. Thanks I had a Time looked beautiful.

Fantastic video! Thank you. Can you also do this technique on stretched canvas? If so, how do you treat the canvas?
Yes, I've done a video on it. Just a coat of paint on the canvas before using the ink.

😮 ❤ THIS! Now, can you use a regular stretched canvas with this technique or does it has to be an absorbable material?
