I have to guess this is a much dumb downed version of the original scripts (probably because of time restraints). The original thing would probably help with the likability of the characters.

It's missing a cool story line, and surprises like when you get your head cut off, and it turns out you can re-attach it to another body or when you are an actor being recruited by Hitler. and when everything is calm, and you get to walk next to an enemy without alarming them. In my opinion.

I can't get over the fact that Jess and Sophie are switching between English and Polish mid-sentence when talking with their parents. I think I finally understand how italians must have felt with Assassin's Creed 2, where random words like "Bene" and "Grazie" weren't translated to english by the Animus.
@cj p pretty sure this game is just a foundation for these girls to build up.better story better places to go and set things up the potential is there. Just cause it's not here and the story focuses on them being Introduced to the world that here dad came from doesn't mean it's bad. I think it's a good 7/10 game

So let me get this straight - BJ killed Hitler offscreen - Grace, Anya and BJ are the only actual characters from the original two games - BJ gets about 10 minutes total screentime - The main protagonists are annoying as fuck and only have about 30 seconds of character development - The entire plot is contrived and feels like fanfiction I would have honestly preferred to just live with the sequel bait ending of New Colossus than have this be canon.
This game could have been just an extend to the New Colossus, the story was short, graphics feel rushed and under developed for a 2019 game...also there should have been new weapons, new enemies, new techologies after 18+ years in the game, but we still have the same stuff, same exo-skeletons, same weapons, same everything.

cj p Its like The Old Blood content wise, but honestly Youngblood did a lot of world building and setting up for Wolfenstein III where we’d see BJ doing his thing and killing Hitler. I wouldn’t be surprised if the actual sequel to Youngblood is a Wolfenstein IV where we see at the end Hell invading and Doom Guy coming in. It kinda seems like that considering they showed that the original timeline still existing and in Doom (2016) and Doom 3D I believe showing that Doom Guy closing the portal to Hell from infecting the og timeline and BJ possibly seeing that.
Whatever the relationship these two sisters has, it gotta be extremelly strong. Like I never hear or seen people compliment each other every 5 seconds, let alone constantly messing with each other while literally murdering people.

Did he kill him as Mecca Hitler? What technology was given that made Hitler at least somewhat coherent enough to tell BJ of his plans to take the world with him? I guess that’s why this isn’t officially Wolfenstein III…

Wolfenstein Youngblood was most definitely the worst Wolfenstein game so far. I personally don’t see the franchise getting any better. Old Blood and New Order were great.

Putting the story aside, I couldn't help but feel a bit giddy over the power suit designs. Ever since the prototype, I was thinking "Is this a precursor to the Praetor Suit?" These upgrades are making me wonder even moreso now. Da'at Yichud + Hell's finest tech mixed into one angry man that Hell itself cannot contain... makes for a good premise, I think.

Well, I don't mind the story of two sisters, but I still can't get rid of the bitter feeling that all side characters were a bit forced... and I was afraid that the feminist agenda would be predominant in the game - I was kinda right with this, yet still don't give a damn because the good gameplay matters way more in a game. To the positive note, I think that characters of the Blazkowicz sisters were ok, gameplay fun, and I like the blue body armour. For my rating - 75/100, could be longer, progression system was ok, co-op focus is amazing idea and without the "contemporary political agenda" it could be easily 10-15 points higher (and btw. Gaby would NOT be so ok after the knife in the eye so fast). P.S.: After reading previous comments here I have to agree with one thing - If crappy movies and series like Captain Marvel and Batwoman were written in a way BJ's daughters are, they would be way better. P.P.S: I almost forgot.. that scene in a cave with BJ... was great.

And I thought about this more in the sence of the smaller annoyance - You know, I am not chick and I have younger brother - we are like "lets do this and this" and afterwards "cool bro" but I also know twins that are (unfortunately) exactly like those sisters in game, so this may be also the possible explanation. I still care more about the gameplay, story, graphics and those things are not bad... not the best either, but ok. For smaller project as this game is, we may have expected some level of cheesiness... hell, previous Wolfenstein games are cheesy too :-D classical power-play stories.

I think that thisone is made solely for two reasons: 1) testing co-op potential 2) Pushing some political agenda... And in my opinion we may be fortunate enough that the first one may be like 55% and the second one "only" 45%. But all of that I already wrote (and I hate the second reason). But still, for smaller game of the franchise it was enjoyable.

cj p Its like The Old Blood content wise, but honestly Youngblood did a lot of world building and setting up for Wolfenstein III where we’d see BJ doing his thing and killing Hitler. I wouldn’t be surprised if the actual sequel to Youngblood is a Wolfenstein IV where we see at the end Hell invading and Doom Guy coming in. It kinda seems like that considering they showed that the original timeline still existing and in Doom (2016) and Doom 3D I believe showing that Doom Guy closing the portal to Hell from infecting the og timeline and BJ possibly seeing that.

Game looks bleak, gun play seems slow, action seems slow, plenty of highigted interactable obejcts clutter the creen, dialogs feel artificial and simply TRIGGERED by waypoints....thanks for upload...one game I will not be buying for sure. you saved me some money man. Thanks.

Putting the story aside, I couldn't help but feel a bit giddy over the power suit designs. Ever since the prototype, I was thinking "Is this a precursor to the Praetor Suit?" These upgrades are making me wonder even moreso now.
Da'at Yichud + Hell's finest tech mixed into one angry man that Hell itself cannot contain... makes for a good premise, I think.

I can’t tell if I’m impressed the developers put in scenes of young people being immature dorks in an elevator or if I’m annoyed that in the first time in my memory I’m not BJ
Well, I don't mind the story of two sisters, but I still can't get rid of the bitter feeling that all side characters were a bit forced... and I was afraid that the feminist agenda would be predominant in the game - I was kinda right with this, yet still don't give a damn because the good gameplay matters way more in a game.
To the positive note, I think that characters of the Blazkowicz sisters were ok, gameplay fun, and I like the blue body armour. For my rating - 75/100, could be longer, progression system was ok, co-op focus is amazing idea and without the "contemporary political agenda" it could be easily 10-15 points higher (and btw. Gaby would NOT be so ok after the knife in the eye so fast).
P.S.: After reading previous comments here I have to agree with one thing - If crappy movies and series like Captain Marvel and Batwoman were written in a way BJ's daughters are, they would be way better.
P.P.S: I almost forgot.. that scene in a cave with BJ... was great.

@@Lajos_Kelemen Yeah, but I think this MAY be appealing to the younger players (about 15-18), I don't know. But it's way better than the two examples I mentioned. And I thought about this more in the sence of the smaller annoyance - You know, I am not chick and I have younger brother - we are like "lets do this and this" and afterwards "cool bro" but I also know twins that are (unfortunately) exactly like those sisters in game, so this may be also the possible explanation. I still care more about the gameplay, story, graphics and those things are not bad... not the best either, but ok. For smaller project as this game is, we may have expected some level of cheesiness... hell, previous Wolfenstein games are cheesy too :-D classical power-play stories.

I think that thisone is made solely for two reasons: 1) testing co-op potential 2) Pushing some political agenda... And in my opinion we may be fortunate enough that the first one may be like 55% and the second one "only" 45%. But all of that I already wrote (and I hate the second reason). But still, for smaller game of the franchise it was enjoyable.
