That’s cool that they have a Anne of green gables museum . The trails do look beautiful . I didn’t know there was a hurricane that went that far north last year. At least you can still get to see a lot of the trail and it wasn’t too damaged . Avonlea looks like a lot of fun and I remember when you vlogged there before. I like all the choices of restaurants they have. The grilled cheese looks tasty but gimme gimme gimme that lobster roll! Not many better foods in the world than a perfect, delicious lobster roll! I don't think I have ever read any of the Anne of Green Gables books, but the museum looks really nice. I am sure you were very happy to have met Greg of Green Gables! LOL. The Anne of Green Gables museum is so sweet and cool. I grew up reading all the books and watching the tv shows. Brings back lots of memories. Sorry the BBQ place was so disappointing. The lobster rolls looked so delicious though. That whole area looks so nice. Yum the ice cream 🍦 looked amazing. Haha we laughed when Greg said “ass berry cordial” I love sweet and salty things so I know I would love the cow chips. Awww y’all’s kitty and pups are so cute.

All the years I lived in the maritimes I have never visited Anne of Green Gables. Interesting video, it was nice to see all the spots. That was a pricey lobster roll, but it did look packed with lobster.

Oh my goodness, loved this video! I loved the Anne of Green Gables books when I was growing up and my daughter just started reading the books and we've been watching the movies together. I read a couple of these novels as a child growing up. And I have seen several tv versions. Greg of Green Gables is a great idea for a sequel. Greg was very fair to the Grilled Cheese place. We definitely stick with what a particular restaurant is best known for. Those prices are pretty expensive. But Avonlea Village looks so lovely. Mmm... chocolate covered potato chips sound wonderful. All of the beautiful houses and landscape and all I can think about is the fact they had to use a piss pot back in the day. lol Thanks Greg!! Yes, stick with what they specialize in. The grilled cheese did look good, but not a lot of cheese. Sean and I don't eat seafood, so no lobster rolls for us, and thank goodness, because it is so expensive! I am so glad that he reminded you that that was table lobster. lol I'm actually laughing out loud imagining your relief of not eating it and Greg's dismay that he actually reminded you. I'm surprised that the rooms in the house aren't roped off. I would have thought that would lead to people taking "souvenirs." Also, I am uncertain, did the house actually exist and Montgomery based the house on the book, or was the house created as a tourist destination based on the books?
Yes it was based on this house! 😊 Her relatives lived in this house and she loved it and visiting here. She wanted this house to be Anne’s story 😊 I agree about the souvenirs. There are parts roped off still so you can’t get too too close though. But still other things around you probably could, so hopefully we are all just trustworthy going through it lol! Yes, Dave’s Lobster puts their own spin on it. On their menu the local is listed as “the local - ¼ lb of chilled lobster with seasoned mayo, crisp celery and fresh chives” and the “some fancy” version is listed as “some fancy - 1/4 lb of warm lobster with lemon garlic butter and fresh chives” in Atlantic Canada we typically see most lobster rolls served cold as that’s the more popular way that we eat lobster here similar to Maine, so here in Canada we would refer to them as “local” since that’s our version too. 😊 But the “some fancy” is the same as Connecticut’s version 😊 just Dave’s lobster puts their own names to their products. I enjoyed this exploration of Cavendish, a place I have always wanted to visit. As a child I read all the Anne books over again and was a big fan of the movies and Road to Avonlea. So this is really special. I like how they have Lovers Lane and Haunted Wood trails. And Greg of Green Gables (ha!) The lobster rolls are super! 🦞🦞👍👍 The ice cream looks very creamy and yummy. That’s cool that they have a Anne of green gables museum . The trails do look beautiful . I didn’t know there was a hurricane that went that far north last year. At least you can still get to see a lot of the trail and it wasn’t too damaged . Avonlea looks like a lot of fun and I remember when you vlogged there before. I like all the choices of restaurants they have. The grilled cheese looks tasty but gimme gimme gimme that lobster roll! Not many better foods in the world than a perfect, delicious lobster roll! I don't think I have ever read any of the Anne of Green Gables books, but the museum looks really nice. I am sure you were very happy to have met Greg of Green Gables! LOL. I was surprised that the mac and cheese only got a score of 3. It is kind of hard to make bad mac and cheese. Looks like a wonderful place for a summer vacation! ~ Anita 👍😊

Finally got to go the Anna of Green Gables house! Such a great location. Oh course, I'll have a video of that coming up. Nice to see the place from your perspective! I missed Greg of Green Gables when I was there - what a shame! Yikes, $17 for that little bit. Eating out is getting wildly expensive. We tried lobster poutine that you'll see in the next video! You should be proud that we did some food based stuff! We didn't make it to summerside when there, but it looks like a nice little spot. Nice to see the animals make an appearance!

The Anne of Green Gables museum is so sweet and cool. I grew up reading all the books and watching the tv shows. Brings back lots of memories. Sorry the BBQ place was so disappointing. The lobster rolls looked so delicious though. That whole area looks so nice. Yum the ice cream 🍦 looked amazing. Haha we laughed when Greg said “ass berry cordial” I love sweet and salty things so I know I would love the cow chips. Awww y’all’s kitty and pups are so cute.

All the years I lived in the maritimes I have never visited Anne of Green Gables. Interesting video, it was nice to see all the spots. That was a pricey lobster roll, but it did look packed with lobster.
I hadn’t been to Anne of Green Gables since I was really young so it was nice to actually see it. Pricy lobster roll for sure, but at least it is lots of lobster or it would have hurt waaay more 😂 thanks so much for watching, we really appreciate it! 😊💕

Oh my goodness, loved this video! I loved the Anne of Green Gables books when I was growing up and my daughter just started reading the books and we've been watching the movies together. I read a couple of these novels as a child growing up. And I have seen several tv versions. Greg of Green Gables is a great idea for a sequel. Greg was very fair to the Grilled Cheese place. We definitely stick with what a particular restaurant is best known for. Those prices are pretty expensive. But Avonlea Village looks so lovely. Mmm... chocolate covered potato chips sound wonderful. I'm surprised that the rooms in the house aren't roped off. I would have thought that would lead to people taking "souvenirs." Also, I am uncertain, did the house actually exist and Montgomery based the house on the book, or was the house created as a tourist destination based on the books?

Yes it was based on this house! 😊 Her relatives lived in this house and she loved it and visiting here. She wanted this house to be Anne’s story 😊 I agree about the souvenirs. There are parts roped off still so you can’t get too too close though. But still other things around you probably could, so hopefully we are all just trustworthy going through it lol! On their menu the local is listed as “the local - ¼ lb of chilled lobster with seasoned mayo, crisp celery and fresh chives” and the “some fancy” version is listed as “some fancy - 1/4 lb of warm lobster with lemon garlic butter and fresh chives” in Atlantic Canada we typically see most lobster rolls served cold as that’s the more popular way that we eat lobster here similar to Maine, so here in Canada we would refer to them as “local” since that’s our version too. 😊 But the “some fancy” is the same as Connecticut’s version 😊 just Dave’s lobster puts their own names to their products. “I found the piss pot” 😂 Love seeing your adventures from PIE! I never read the Anne of Green Gables books personally, but they were big hits in Katie’s family. The grounds are truly beautiful, no wonder they inspired such notable works of literature! The nature trail looked amazing. I love a good picturesque hike ✨ Omg, the size of that side of beans at Moo Moo BBQ. I guess at $17, the sides better be as massive as possible to warrant the cost. The childrens’ faces in the armchair were mildly terrifying 😂 But the ice cream looked delicious! I hope Greg bought that hat, I’m looking forward to ‘Greg of Green Gables’ being a recurrent character! Great video, you two! ✨

I enjoyed this exploration of Cavendish, a place I have always wanted to visit. As a child I read all the Anne books over again and was a big fan of the movies and Road to Avonlea. So this is really special. I like how they have Lovers Lane and Haunted Wood trails. And Greg of Green Gables (ha!) The lobster rolls are super! 🦞🦞👍👍 The ice cream looks very creamy and yummy. Really cool little town there in Canada 🙂 Interesting museum for Anne of Green Gables! Never saw that show but it was popular back in the day. Lots of places to shop, plenty places to eat, and ice cream looks pretty good. Yeah that's not a lot of brisket lol, but at least it was tasty! Yeah can't go wrong with grilled cheese hehe.. and oh yeah, that lobster roll is calling my name 😋 Lol at the chips and drink in the end, not for everyone for sure. Thanks guys!
