Wow, most of those books are chunkier than a Yorkie chocolate bar! At least you should have pretty strong wrists by the end of May 🙂 I have Hardy's 'Jude The Obscure' lined up for 2024 and I might try to get to it as a Misery May candidate - but at the moment I'm getting through my own chunky book i.e Thackeray's 'Vanity Fair' and that's going to spill over into a large part of May, possibly squeezing out Jude to a later month. I liked The Nightwatchman, a different book to those I usually read with some different themes. I hope you like it! I am planning to read Grapes of Wrath and All Quiet on the Western Front, I think they may fit Misery May! Still waiting for some sunshine in the Midlands. If it doesn't appear soon we will be living misery May, let alone reading it. 🌦🌦🌦🌞
