    Another fantastic video Mike
Great for the modeller weathering, wagon loads etc plus a nice dollop of nostalgia.
Thanks for having the foresight to capture our railway history

Thank you for editing and posting this excellent video. So much content there. At 08:50 the telephoto shot of 37702 snaking the loaded coal hoppers through the site is probably my favourite of the video but it was all quality. Could watch 08s shunting all day.

cool. this is what railroadin is about. the grimy shunters and shunting districts, the limiteds , and the crack goods trains are ok. but this is the nuts and bolts of railroadin. glad u perserved the vhs tapes.

I still have all my 400+ VHS tapes from 1986-1998. Just takes so long to download and re edit; but all worthwhile to share Thanks for your interest. Mike in Wales

7:00 Were they actually loading coal INTO a train at Cardiff docks?

I think that is "slag" ie coal waste /ash at 7.00 but then coal, which was imported both at Newport/ Cardiff Docks, plus coal from Cwmbargoed. Someone from the docks in the '90s may have more detail
