Getting a small displacement bike like Duke 390 or R3 is actually more fun to ride and someone can live with it for more years, rather than just stretching your budget and getting the most affordable superbike like the Benelli 600i or Hyosung 650. What I mean to say is that some people only buy bikes for just sound and looks, they just don't look at other things like their own ride experience and maintenance costs. These kind of people can never remain satisfied with a particular bike for a long period of time.

Would be great if you can make a part two of this video on the types of big bikes one can buy. A series of 4-5 videos would be great

Thank you very much sir. This is what exactly I did to shift from my hero honda passion, my 1st bike to royal Enfield 2nd bike. I test drove Enfield in the year 2010 when it has no self/ disks. I thought I can effort it at that time at 1.28 lach ex showroom hyd. But after test riding it I dicided it was way ahead of my passion and needs at that time. And I continued with my passion bike (2008 owned). Recently in 2019 April I figured my riding needs and decided to have a change and after crossing all options I have in bikes & activas i brought Royal Enfield sand Strom 350cc which is my passioned and we'll needed one at the time almost after 9 & 1/2 years after I test rode the bullet. Now it's 2.08 Lac on road and with dual disks and abs & self start. Now I am loving the ride with my heart as you said sir. It happened un knowingly and I figured it out after watching your vedio that it's the right way of upgrading from I bike to another. Sure I will follow the same for upgrading to a super bike.

Hey comrade, happy to hear your story. The Dominar is a good bike to upgrade to.
About riding internationally, it takes a lot of preparations. Almost a year or so. You need to ready a lot of documents. We would suggest you check out touring forums - many experienced riders have put out their travellogues and other necessary info.

Amazing clarity in this podcast.. thanks Shumi. Really useful for those of us thinking of a big bike. The one thing which I think we also need to consider is most of these bikes are imported and therefore if someone has even a minor accident, one has to wait for parts to be available with a dealer. The waiting period could differ from one manufacturer to another.
