Wow this is so cool! Not just observing how seasonal changes affect the inhabitants in an ecosystem but doing so over multiple years, and actually seeing changes from year to year. I hope James will keep doing this, I'm sure he will though :) I'm very curious to see how the cyanobacteria will fare over the coming years and how that affects this pond.
@@michaelmayhem350 This channel is ending, not James' microbial posts. He was posting his finds on his handle long before this channel existed, and will continue to do so afaik. He doesn't work for Complexly, he's collaborating with them.
I will forever miss this channel this inspired me to persue my interest in microbiology. Thank you for the amazing content I wish you guys the very best
Really interesting episode. James reminds me of the gentleman scientists of previous centuries who studied what interested them for decades and published their reports. Science owes much to them!
So glad to see you continue content as you close out your channel. I just started my Microscopy channel after years of wishing I had time! Im still super tiny but thank you guys for all your hard work and great content...inspirational :)
Oh I’m happy to be reminded that James lives in Poland. I think it’s great for such video as we have such distinct seasons (despite not having true cold winters since I stopped being a kid..)
I've been following changes in a local pond, and it'd not just seasonal changes. I see changes from year to year and sometimes from week to week. There's a lot going on that I don't understand.
I wish I could turn into a cyst to just come back when things are better. I'd love to skip this miserably hot summer that hasn't even began to get really hot, yet. Sadly, I cannot just focus my do nothing vibes into cyst-hood, but I will keep trying nevertheless.
the two temperate seasons of spring and fall are the other two temperate seasons locked in combat with each other, on this world that is changing every minute of every day.
I find it insulting that knowing that the average attention span of a human is around 10 min, and you made the video a little over 12min... Knowing Hank, he might be wanting to experiment on us and slowly start increasing the average attention span. 🤣
Spring is the transition from winter to summer, autumn is the transition from summer to winter, summer is the transition from spring to autumn, winter is the transition from autumn to spring and so on.
I have read somewhere that this channel might close soon. Does it mean that the videos will no longer be available to watch or that new videos will no longer be added? This body of work is of great value to human knowledge as a whole. Losing it would be a pity. It needs more visibility. Netflix has various series showing large spectacular animals but nothing about the most astonishing tiny world underlying all life on earth. Maybe they could be interested? Maybe BBC directly?
I want to like this, but nearly every one of these scenes has multiple organisms with no way to tell which one is the one being described in the narration . It all just becomes a lot of pretty pictures. 🙁
I have two sets of three word. 1: Here is Hank? 2: So not watching. 1 + 2 = thumbs down, sorry James. Where's Hank? I don't watch these when Hank is not at this post and I strongly belive that there are many more like me out there. Hopefully all that read this and agree, will not be afraid to have their voices heard by liking this post. It's not just for me and the others, IT'S ABOUT THE CHANNEL FOLKS.
I love Hank too, but Deboki is cool. Maybe try new experiences every now and then dude. Hank is only one person, he can't do everything. And it's nice to have other people invoved. (Also this isn't about the channel, it's very clearly about you).
I watch for the information; who is delivering that information is inconsequential. Honestly if it would save the channel, I would be fine with them handing it over to another microscopy team.

He won't. This channel is dead. They're gradually posting all the videos they made for this year but they won't be making more.

Algal blooms are a good example that just because nature can consume it, doesn't mean that it should be fed as much as it wants! 😅
My moms house is a substantially worse example
My lab is literally studying water microbiome seasonality! This is such a mesmerizing topic, the idea of dynamism in such a tiny world.
That's super cool. 🦠
How cool! Always makes me happy to hear about people studying such things 💛
I like having her as a narrator. Could the channel continue with rotating hosts? It’s such valuable knowledge!
So glad you're still going, we need you microcosmos!
Please do something on endomicrobial life?!
I will forever miss this channel this inspired me to persue my interest in microbiology. Thank you for the amazing content I wish you guys the very best
Really interesting episode. James reminds me of the gentleman scientists of previous centuries who studied what interested them for decades and published their reports. Science owes much to them!
Thank you all for these videos and these amazing perspectives into worlds otherwise unknown!
this channel is great
Microbes be crazy
Microscopic world is just❤❤❤
Those yellow algae look like a fabric print pattern.
Attack of the killer microbees!!! 🐝🐝🐝
Deboki is an awesome writer and narrator.
This one was very interesting
This episode was really good, thank you for making and sharing this wonderful video.
Great one! Never considered how the microbe ecosystem would change through the seasons 🦠🦠🦠
Yessssssssss
Amazing videos ❤
I absolutely LOVED this episode!! thank you thank you thank you for sharing
I don't know what's more beautiful, the world at the micro scale or the way you're able to portray it, and with such an amazing soundtrack ✨
MICROCOSMOOOOSSSSSS TIMEEEEE!!!

Thank you Squarespace
Cool
Now I wonder if I've ever passed James on a forest walk somewhere and never knew
Oh I’m happy to be reminded that James lives in Poland. I think it’s great for such video as we have such distinct seasons (despite not having true cold winters since I stopped being a kid..)
I never knew Jams is living in Poland!
Yeah, Warsaw. He's been posting on social media about microbes long before this channel even existed.
This was very beautiful, i could definitely see myself falling asleep to it.
I've been following changes in a local pond, and it'd not just seasonal changes. I see changes from year to year and sometimes from week to week. There's a lot going on that I don't understand.
Wonder if looking in what makes diatoms resistant to winter could give us clues to create winter resistant crops.
Beautiful as always
Yay Deboki's back!
Please don't stop making videos for th is channel.
I wish I could turn into a cyst to just come back when things are better. I'd love to skip this miserably hot summer that hasn't even began to get really hot, yet. Sadly, I cannot just focus my do nothing vibes into cyst-hood, but I will keep trying nevertheless.
Good luck in your endeavors. 👍
This is so amazing! It's not even something I thought about
Amazing
Hi, what microscope does the Master of Microscope uses. Thanks
If you go to the main page for the channel and search for upgrade you will find several recent explanations of what James is using.
This is a really good episode!!!
Trachelomonas look like lil kiwis
the two temperate seasons of spring and fall
are the other two temperate seasons locked in combat with each other,
on this world that is changing every minute of every day.
Why dont you sell the complete series on DVD or Blue Ray?
Oh I would love this!
Amazing content! Could you do one about soil life through the seasons?
Me : what a year, ay?
Microbes :

I had no idea that microbes would change so much depending on the season. 🦠 🌸🌻🍁❄🔬
Neat.
Spring is the transition from winter to summer, autumn is the transition from summer to winter, summer is the transition from spring to autumn, winter is the transition from autumn to spring and so on.
Oh please obviously the seasons are going to look like the microbes because the microbes are living in that season!
Just bought yalls microscope. I love using it compared to to my 60$ one
I wonder if there are also bigger cycles than annual ones
Hydra can we get a video please 🎉
So sad every new episode just reminds me of the end of this channel.
Somebody was inspired by Stefano Ianiro.
You do know there are ponds here in America right?
They are my crobes!
Hey blue 💙 Babe, it's all beautiful today, Like when I was a child . Wish I could freeze in time like one of these microbes

Old videos will stay, but new videos won’t come out (or will be rare)
hi
first
I thought the show was finished
Is there a channel like this one but focused on drugs, diseases, or syndromes?
Wasn't this channel shutting down??
They are, they just let us know ahead of time and are finishing it their last few months
How many Pollocks does it take to change a lightbulb? None, they're all microbes!
I love these videos, but she definitely doesn’t have the voice for them. An ASMR voice is needed for this type of content, she has a seminar voice.
I want to like this, but nearly every one of these scenes has multiple organisms with no way to tell which one is the one being described in the narration . It all just becomes a lot of pretty pictures. 🙁
Can i have your microscope?
I have two sets of three word.

If it is about the channel, why are you so obsessed with only watching Hank? Do you not like women? Hank is very busy and still convalescing.
I love Hank too, but Deboki is cool. Maybe try new experiences every now and then dude. Hank is only one person, he can't do everything. And it's nice to have other people invoved. (Also this isn't about the channel, it's very clearly about you).

LETS FK GOOOO BOYS!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do these little moving things are just pure protein machines? Or they have consciousness in addition? No one knows.
