Its kinda freaky, I cant go anywhere without my phone or some smart device. Eating? Always with my phone in my left hand. Toilet? Always taking 30 minutes longer because I‘m watching a video. Bathing? Watching a whole movie while I‘m in the bathtub. I literally need to place my phone somewhere and watch something while I‘m searching for it.

That's what I used to do anyway, until my iPhone 4S' speakers degraded in quality and I had to ask for a replacement. Apple is so kind.

The 10 cent solution: use a plastic bag.
Even the Note 4 and 6+ fit in a standard sandwich bag and they keep moisture out so there's practically no chance of water damage. And they're reusable.

A cheaper way to enjoy music in the shower, use a ziploc bag.
And for the toilet one? I haven't had an incident ever. You could just put it in a ziploc bag too

@@MrGame8706 It should. As long as you seal the ziplock properly. If water gets in the ziplock, you should be able to notice. Also, you shouldn't touch the ziplock too much.
U could leave ur phone on the counter next to where ur toothbrush is & listen to ur toons, that way it's not in the shower.

cyrus0ne except that the normal S5 is still IP67, water and dust proof, fully submerged for up to 30 minutes in 3 feet of water or less.
I always like using electronic devices while covered in water, it's completely safe honestly! You can even take a taser to feel safe whilst you shower :D

No such thing as waterproof, only water-resistant! When I was a jeweller I used to often see watches brought in that have been regularly worn in shower where the hot soapy water has perished the seals and ruined the watch, and a similar thing happens with phones that are water-resistant!

You forgot to tell your audience about LifeProof waterproof cases. These cases for popular smartphone allow you to take your phone in the shower so you can not only hear music, but use the phone to change song, text, check email, etc.

That's why I use Xperia Z line phones. I'm very active around water all the time so that's a no brainer.

Depends on bathroom ventilation. This is easy to judge by looking at the mirror after showering. If it's all steamy and your phone is sitting near it, chances are that your device was exposed to some degree of moisture.
