Learn how to use double-stop embellishments a la Jimi to play over a common chord progression. The track is purposely not a Jimi style song, to make it obvious how universal this technique really is.

Not only is your playing and teaching singular beyond comparison but your gifts of superb feel and generosity put you in the rarest of air few guitarists ever have experienced yet assume they have..

Having seen a number of lessons of jimi:s style, it makes me realise what a great musician he was, thanks Robert, done with a bit of humour too. 😊

Thankyou Robert for this lesson. These embellishments are exactly what i need to start making some sense of this approach. Thankyou for identifying the scale degrees used and how they are suspended and resolved. I love these sounds. I hope you can do some more of these embellishment style lessons and mini courses through youtube and your academy. cheers and thanks.

Great lesson, sort of ties in the hammering on the third on the a string thing that I already was playing around with with the rest. An awesome follow up would be the equivalente trick for minor.

At 4:13 you say it's a B maj and you appear to have your index finger on the C# of G string, 6th fret, which is throwing me off. Trying to figure out what form of chord your using. I know fret up would be the E form triad. Can you clarify what you're doing?

    • @freddysnip6257

I could see what the left hand was doing very clear. The most difficult part was the timing, but I've nailed it within 15 minutes!
