    Everybody moaning about cleaning my fretboard:
    I clean it every time I change strings, but to give some more details since you apparently can't stop talking about it:
    1) This guitar has been played a LOT. It's more the wear on the fretboard itself you see than dirt.
    2) It's probably due to the harsh lighting that it's a little more present. I'm playing this Strat as we speak and it's hard to see any dirt tbh under normal light conditions.
    3) I don't care.
    4) I do a little bit, because I'm doing all this to prove a point.
    5) Thanks for reading
    6) Bye.

      guys.... rosewood fretboards do indeed wear out if you use your guitar for playing instead of decoration ;-)

    • @seanmurphy.
      @seanmurphy. 5 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      Your playing sounds so clean, it can't be THAT dirty! ;) So never mind what anyone has to say about the "dirt".

    • @IbervilleMusic
      @IbervilleMusic 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@fve1352 rosewood fretboards do indeed wear out, but the part that wears out is supposed to become matte. not the part that your fingers don't touch. what you see here is dirt. It's amplified a lot by the studio lighting but it is indeed rather dirty.

    THIS is the true genius of Hendrix!!! .... His masterful use of chord progressions and embellishments that made chords sound almost like leads within themselves.

    • @matiasarteaga4548

      Yes indeed, I always liked Hendrix .I Remember guitar player magazine back in late 80s listed 30 different guitar players with their top 5 records of all time. Every list (except for one (I forget who it was) out of 30 guitarist did not mention Hendrix on his list) the other 29 guitar players either listed electric ladyland or Are you experienced) albums.. Those were the only 2 hendrix records mentioned on every players list. Joe satriani had both Hendrix albums on his list also, but Joe's #1 record choice was (axis bold as love) that meant something. Learning songs from( axis )seeing the fingerings ,hendrixs rythm n blues chops he'd taken up another notch. Lil musical things playing over chords. flood gates

    I was on a few other "instructor" type pages, been trying to learn Something new, but.......I think its all in how easy it is to follow what the instructor is saying as well as how slowly they demonstrate what it is their teaching as well as how enjoyable or non stressful it is trying to understand whats being taught or shown ....... So Ive been on the other 2 channels for many weeks, trying to not give up & learn SOMETHING, but no matter what its always too advanced or too complicated or isnt something that I think I could use. .. Stumbled onto your channel tonight , watched 3 videos - Im subscribing. Good work man, slight bit of occasional humor, clear with your demonstrations & you dont fly thru the stuff youre demonstrating. , Thumbs Up =D

      Analogman King of Tone will do that. So versatile and doesn’t change the tone of the guitar or amp not even a little. I was lucky enough to get one for $80, ( I traded a few old pedals I wasn’t even playing ) and it’s the best overdrive along with the Duellist. Actually, I’d say it’s like a combination of the King Tone Blues Power and Duellist. Just compared the King of Tone with King Tone pedals and Paul is playing through a Tone King amp. The 3 Kings of guitar king 👑 👑 👑 haha

    So our chord progression is D A Bm G. I-V-vi-IV in D major. And you're telling me D major pentatonic, A major pentatonic, Bm pentatonic, and G major pentatonic all fit in the key of D major? Crazy

    • @colinjohnson3814
      @colinjohnson3814 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What'd be crazier is if dorian, phrygian, lydian, mixolydian, aeolian (minor), and locrian scales fit within the ionian (major) scale. Oh wait... they do... and they're all septatonic. Even better, what if keys didn't apply to what I just said. Oh wait... they don't.

      Try putting elixir .9 extra light guitar strings on your acoustic. It takes about a week to break em in, but the tone is so vibrant and Loud. Also learn how to play with a heavier pick for more sound and sustain. Plus the light strings make an acoustic 100 percent easier to play for 12hrs at a time

    I have been playing and recording professionally all my life and I can say that there is not such thing as a great guitar sound - a sound is either right for the track or it aint right - but like Eric Clapton said - you can have as many pedals as you like but the real magic is in the fingers...and I guess what he is saying is work on your playing technique and that's what really counts...like Paul demos here its all hard work and practice that renders results ....out
