Why are you stuck at the figure of 8 years when in reality you don’t need to change to a new battery. The entire battery does not go bad . Only few cells go bad and can be replaced easily and infinitely to keep the battery in 100% health. Also every 50,000 kms cell balancing is performed by the company and soon private players will offer it. Battery will last 13 years or more depending on the complete cycles. For example. Let us take the battery life as 2000 cycles. Which means One full charge and full discharge . Let us assume you do it daily and for each full charge you drive 200 kms. Now at this rate 200 Km x2000 cycles= 4,00,000 kms can be driven . And in terms of years it will be 2000 / 365 days = which is 5.47 years . And after that only few cells changed and battery is new . And up front payment of 50,000 is not a practical and profitable idea for the company. Already people are complaining about the price of EV and this will be a huge issue. Instead why not you Put 50,000 in FD or Mutual Fund .

I own Nexon EV it's 1.5 years old in Trip A meter as of today it shows 71 KWh/km, which is decreasing everyday. On the other hand, Trip B show 146 KWh/ km which is not getting decreased as trip a meter. So my first question is What does this mean as it's written AVG. followed by the no's mentioned above? The trip meter numbers you are talking are the same as the fuel mileage in the petrol diesel cars. In your case Trip A meter is showing 71 KWH / Km or in other words the mileage . Now this should be reducing as the mileage improves . The lower the number better the mileage . This reading is dynamic and keeps changing constantly. This is alright. The second meter is a cumulative number and it is okay. So don’t worry and be happy and keep driving . Be light footed and make the best use of regenerative braking . What choices do you have for regenerative braking. I mean how many levels . Keep your settings in position 2 for maximum benefit

The display meter shows battery health in bars. Generally it is 12 bars .And 100% . Over a 12:49 period of time the battery will degrade and when it reaches 80% it means the efficiency is reduced. At this stage entire battery is not replaced but after checking all the cells only those cells which are bad need to be changed and battery comes back to 100% . This can be repeated many times .

Greetings, Tata company was started for mainly focus for Indian and Indians, however tata cars started well, however they lost focus, after few indian successfully cars, now they give very low service experience and value cars, now they either focus on big cars and vehicles, now only for average family indian 7 seater car only maruti, Kia, now toyota rumion and some of few, bit mahindra and tata has just turned their back, now they only for high-end cars and experience. Very less indain families patronize their cars.
I had taken Tata Nexon EV facelift, whose claimed range was 325 KM which has reduced to 195 KM in 1 month. The reality is completely opposite to what TATA claims.I run it in L3 and ECO without AC, still it is not giving mileage in city.

Should have asked if EV car companies are unable to sell EV in low price let China do as China is selling cars and scooters at much much low cost in China.
