    So simple, so common, and yet, so misunderstood by younger barbers. Good stuff Mr. Zorian!

    Thank you, Greg! Since COVID hit I’ve been cutting my husband’s hair and managing pretty well. It’s pretty thin on top and your directions attacking the top in this way did the trick, making the cut look great!

    Nice video. My husband has thick white coarse hair. I don't have the right tools to thin, but he usually needs thinning. Thank you both for sharing!

    So I've been holding my comb outward instead of inward and creating weight lines and not understanding why I was making it worse! Excellent video! 🤍

    Where's your location, I would love to have my haircut with you

    At one point on the back hairline you say the outline should be as far out as possible and it should be straight down. But then during the finishing section you say you want to keep it at a diagonal and then you cut it that way, angling in. The finished product looks great but I was just confused on the two different things for the same area you said.

    Hi Greg, thank you for this video! This is similar to my husband and adult sons styles except they have very little hair on top. Should I be starting this cut at the top? I've been starting at the bottom and doing the very top last (then the semi and final finishes) Any advice for me? (Amateur "pandemic" barber here :) ) Thank you in advance.

      When you start on the top you now the length you are blending to. Avoids cutting it twice

    Hi Greg: I love the overall look of this style. Is this style feasible if I continue to keep my hair at 1/4" clipper cut on the sides and back and grow out my hair longer on the top and front and maintain with scissor over comb? I have straight, fine hair similar to your gentleman client. Thanks!

    • @GregZorian
      @GregZorian  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but the general rule is the longer the hair is on top the lower you should keep the fade or taper for properly balanced look. Hope that helps

    Please what brand are the shears you are using in this video?? Im a Barber and I've had German made shears for many years not ice temper type. Thank you. I like the 7in or longer .Too many like the 4in shears and that will give you arthritis in years to come.
    Curious as to why you are not demonstrating technical head areas?
    I got my Barber lic in the 70s, much has changed over these years. I believe if you learn to properly cut a true man's Taper cut you can go further with your business.

    Great cut! Personally I'd rather no product, because I don't like pronounced brush lines, then some strong hair spray to hold it. it also stops seeing scalp through the hair.

    • @GregZorian
      @GregZorian  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank You! I just came out with an awesome finishing spray that does just that. It took me a while to get it just right so it dries quickly without a crunchy hold but still has a good hold. Easy rinse also. Check it out and let me know what you think: www.zorianofnewyork.com/collections/all-products/products/finishing-spray
