Love it. I appreciate the way your parents are the center of the family. My mother has Alzheimer’s and instead of putting her in a home we kept her in her home with her garden and divide the care between us siblings. It’s tough, but her garden is her happy place. Keep up the love.

Your parent's garden is such an inspiration for me. Everytime you mention that theirs was full of weeds in the beginning and that it took several years to finally have a good looking garden really motivated me to start working on our property. We may have different climates, but I have started to mass plant some beautiful native perrenials like vinca and caladiums. Alliums in your area are blood lilies here and we do have some local rose varieties that tolerate our.high humidity tropical climate. Coleus and petunias are also perrenials here. 🥰 Starting a garden at 21 is great. I could only dream what it might turn out in just a few years. Everything is a baby now but for sure, it will be GLORIOUS when everything is mature. 🌱❤💚

Me too Laura....my dad had a truck & he would pick myself & all my girlfriends up after we got out of skating 11:00 at night. It was fun in the summer but cold in the winter...lol. Thanks for bringing back that memory

You seem so relaxed, Benjamin was excited and adorable as always ... your beautiful Mom made an appearance, your sweet and charming dad did too and seeing Benjamin toddle over to see his Uncle Joe and Uncle Joe excited to see “the big guy” and picking him up ☺️ was so touching to see. So heartwarming about your family stories and seeing you gather for the project. I remember driving in my dad's dune buggy with no seat belts and driving around LA neighborhoods in the backs of pickup trucks (usually for short drives)--but oh so fun and memorable!

I planted the pink caladiums this year in my garden. Just love 💕 the pop of pink. Probably wouldn’t thought of them in the past but since watching your channel for several years I have learned sooooo much. I go to our garden centres and see things much differently (in a good way). Sugar beets! That was a crop that was massively grown in our area in Manitoba when I was growing up! Loved Benjamin's expression about the pizza and how cool he was about you doing some planting instead of swimming!

Turned out lovely! I agree, it is fun working with family on a project. I recently re-did a large marble stacked stone bed (I'd collected the marble from a business that was changing their walkways, free for the taking, I stacked myself years ago) my girls helped add more compost, dirt ( 4,000 lbs. of it would have been quite the chore by myself) and plant it , mainly with annuals this year.
This was a really beautiful video of voices from Benjamin’s cute voice, Aaron singing and talking about the drone recording (I’ve love to see more drone videos because they fascinate me and help get my bearings.
Your dad I still remember him shouting out when he was sat on the loo 🚽😆 and your mam is just the happiest lady I know and I can see where you get your happy and get stuck into jobs from....your mum.

My local garden centre had some Proven Winners plants in, mainly shrubs. I asked if they were going to start getting more plants from PW but he couldn’t tell me.
I was asking for next year and spoke about the Supertunia Vista range (Bubblegum etc) and I told him that it was a self cleaning petunia plant and you don’t have to deadhead them but he looked at me as if I was crazy.
I suggested he watched some of yours and PW videos because of how informative they are (I didn’t feel like he knew much about plants because I found a Diamond Frost Euphoria and he didn’t know anything about it, such as if the plant was Hardy to England).
The main thing is that they had some PW plants so fingers crossed 🤞 for more plants in the future xxx

Regarding the Felcos: YES!! and YES!! I couldn't find pruners that were really comfortable and easy for me to lock and unlock, so I used the Felco hand measurement guide & discovered it's no wonder every other pruner I tried was difficult to use because I have small hands. Ha! Who knew? Soooo, I ordered the 14's a couple of months ago and my pruning has become a joy instead of a pain. My husband was not convinced their cost would be worth it, but he's now a believer (after he cut a thick branch and was shocked with their ease & effectiveness). Definitely worth every cent!!!
I think your first idea of having Hostas is great. I can imagine some fire and ice Hostas in the middle and a bigger size Hostas next to the fire and ice. Love the combination you have planted.
