- Everyone is different, so everyone has a different experience working for Amazon. These are 5 reasons why I left after just 1 week. It was an experience, but I have no regrets. Everything started looking up for me as soon as I left!
Yes, #5 is a joke. Although, I’ll never know for sure what was in that goodie bag...

your a beautiful smart young lady best wishes to you. I just got hired at a amazon dsp delivering packages hopefully ,its a step up from wearhouse. Im 25 attractive tall male I to have had same bad experiences in wearhouses worked wearhouse from like 18 to 20 . I could go on and on about how I was treated similar and maybe even worse. my advice to you would be do something your passionate about and don't let others influence your decisions and my advice to everyone thinking about working at amazon is try it out . either it will motivate you to further your education or just appreciate the value of money . their are no failures only lessons. I love driving and would relish the opportunity to get more driving experience so I can get my cdl.
Was. A packer and sorter - redinder and inductor. Outbound. After a year working there, and everyone i got to know starting quitting left and right. I finally decided it was time i quit also.
In all honesty I’ve been working at amazon for 8 months and It’s really nice for an antisocial person because you don’t need to interact with customers or anything. It also pays well and the benefits are great! I work night shifts which is good for me since I can literally never sleep at night anyway 😂
You just described me haha
That's why I want to apply honestly. I'm used to standing for long hours and working a lot, but I would love to interact with as little people as possible. Lol
It’s definitely great for antisocial people. I worked at Amazon for 5 months, it was a good job when it came to the money and benefits. I was also a quiet person so dealing with zero customers was great. However, that’s really all the good things I have to say about the job. Even as an anti-social person, I hated it a lot. For many different reasons of course. So I lasted only 5 months there until I said screw this and left. It’s definitely not as a bad of a job that many people say it is, but I personally don’t think it’s even close to a good job overall as well. Just my thoughts.
@@brandonayala4605 what was so bad about it if you don't mind me asking. I'm going to be working part time at a warehouse location soon.
You described me too.
When I first started working at Amazon, someone deadass walked out within the first 4 hrs of training
Lol.
Same thing happened at my job as a csr for a financial company. lol this lady left on her lunch break and didn’t come back.
If y’all think Amazon is bad try working at ups for less pay and supervisors constantly over you telling you to move faster
Nah frrr I dipped 😂😀
*Or FedEx, it is a nightmare!!*
Right I used to work at FedEx! Straight hell. I start at Amazon in a few weeks kinda excited lol
Fuck ups

Red flags for jobs, Point systems, abrasive team leaders, mandatory overtime, long shifts, strict on personal items like a watch, high turn over, bully mentality, overly demanding atmosphere and on call.
That's sounds like overnight at harris teeter
So basically any factory job that's ever existed?
A lot of jobs
The only legit red flag IMO is high turn over rate.
@@soundwave704 which is a product of the reasons above ^^
I had been working with amazon for 3 months so far. I paid attention that all the work is on the associates, PAS just fast walk along the ailes to make sure the job is going, NEVER doing the real work ! Some employees are toxic and speak bad on others, break time is short . 9 hours working and only 1 hour break ( 30 min x2 ). A lot of people leave and new faces come in. Attitude of some managers is toxic, no phones no music, no chairs to set: Amazon is obsessed with safety but not much about your health!
This is serious.. Working in Amazon is not as easy as the way people are saying it outside.
I think it’s just certain locations I’ve heard of relaxed ones
You think a 9hour day with 2 x 30 min breaks is bad? Try being a registered nurse who does 13 hour days with the same breaks!
Try working a Regular "non amazon company" distribution center, say as a bulk puller (heavy items over 300lb) and having to keep your pick quota at obscene levels (amazon quota is easier) and do so on a 12 hour shift (not 10). It may be hard (I start tomm evening) but when you've worked on a Corrugator (look the machine up) for 10 hours in 100 degree weather, high humidity and the machine creates about 50 more degrees. Anything Amazon can throw ain't nothing compared to that and I did that for almost six years straight living in the south.
@@00jmjl It's not a competition. Just because your conditions are the worst, doesn't mean you should stand for it either!
I did my whole training watching a video. They'll throw you out on the floor expecting you to keep up with workers that have been there for some time. Then they'll come in your area with a laptop talking about you miss scan items. Its my second day and you want me to scan a million packages in a hr. Of course I'm going to have some era's asshole
They give you one day of training then the 2nd day you work they expect you to know everything and to do your own thing
That’s cap, they give u 2-3 days of training
@@quinterorafa9699 hell nahh they don’t they give you one day and that’s it
@@heartlessxo1445 idk what amazon u working at but the one i work at gave me 3 training days
I got one day of training too (10hour shift) but I was also a flex schedule employee
That's every job almost lol
HR aint never at there desk when you need them anyway. Those covid notifications are nightmares. You see around 2 a week sometimes.
Omg this!!! This!!! Pisses me off soo much!! Where she at? Cuz she's never in the office!!!
Exactly
Amazon is like Walmart. They hire a 100 people in hopes that 5-10 are stupid enough to stick around. We might think they are disorganized or incompetent but they know exactly what they are doing. Never forget that.
This the one
Weak people
I am about to quit, been there a year working part time and the problem I have is with the management, they don't know how to talk to people , the training sucks and when you ask them how to do something because you have never done it before the do catch attitudes. It is the biggest revolving door I've ever seen. So many people coming and going. And yes there is always a shortage of walkie talkies and those little handheld dolphins. Those rates they want you to keep is unreal. And they act as if you are supposed to know everything about every position. Amazon needs to teach their managers about how to deal with people cause the majority of them do not know how to manage people. And the pay could be upgraded to about 17.50 an hour cause 15.00 an hr is bacically what minimum wage should be across the country. So I've been pissed off more nights than I've been happy there.
This. And please don’t know how to do your job... better... boy will they sabotage you
Part time is bearable never do full time it’s really hard labor Amazons starting pay is now at $17.50 plus some shift differentials
I’m a current Amazon employee been there about 6 weeks. I do the inbound stow and I have to say it sucks. It’s definitely one of the worst jobs I’ve ever had. The quota they want you to make for stow time is ridiculously high and they micromanage constantly. Your body will hurt constantly from going at 100% for the 10 hour shift. And it doesn’t leave you much time to have a life outside of work. The little time you do have you will be tired and sore. It’s definitely not worth it.
Exactly
Some of us want money bro 🤣🤣🤣🤣 idc what the work is
@@99g67 made 1k last week during prime and I'm a L1 stow

Yesss! The speed they want you to go for 10 hrs is so freaking unrealistic!
I feel like Amazon is for anti social people but if your an extrovert I feel like this job is very draining for them
FACTZ, I’m kinda anti social, so that’s probably why I lasted so long, I been there for like 2years now lol
I feel like I’ll survive then. I hate talking to people lol
I’m pretty much a quiet person but I still felt like most of the people at my site acted like they were afraid to talk or something. It’s like you had to sneak a conversation in or something..lol
I don't think you know what anti social mean
I’m an introvert but I don’t like prison.
I love how people think if you aren’t willing to do back breaking work for 80 hrs a week then you’re “soft with no work ethic” sorry but I’m not willing to waste my life away doing depressing work so I can please older generations who believe all we’re here for is to eat sleep work and then die
@pillsbury coonboy ya, I feel like so many people don’t understand how dirty and corrupt the corporations are. And if you refuse to let someone treat you badly and make you do back breaking work with mandatory overtime you get labeled as a snowflake and just want handouts. Like, sorry to those people who willingly gave up their life and health to work those jobs. But to me, doing that every day, week after week, year after year, for your whole life isn’t really living. We’re just ants to them.
@@stephanieg8545 Most people have work because they think it is necessary but they dont think in that time what you work you could have learned many new things and had character development dont waste your life away working for someone else what doesn't even notice you
When your young you think you have many hours to waste for work but if your old every week is maby your last and it's more precious
LOL "please older generations." While Amazon is a horrible place to work and people should in no way assume all jobs are like this, you sound like a textbook Millennial who thinks everything should be handed to them. If you don't like the work, quit, but don't come up with this "us vs the boomers" bullshit to justify you hating your job.
well what if you have to actually pay rent and other bills lol
I feel like you’ve been doing youtube for 10+ years, you speak to the camera remarkably well. I was shocked when I saw you only have about 300 subs!! Keep going!!

I been there since june and it honestly is bad, the managers and the people who tell you “6ft apart” are annoying. Im working on a side hustle to quit that job before im 19 in may
I hated mine too..I quit in a week😂
@@Lulu-yepeyo sacked in a week
It’s annoying cause you can’t hear anyone unless they’re right next to you
Stay 6 feet apart and they won' yell at you. If you are not happy change it. Ask to be trained, do a internal transfer, transfer to another building. Ask about learning ambassador. The job and how you make it is in your hands 🙄
@@Lulu-yepeyo better not join the military, you would quit in a day 🙄
Love the video. I work at a sort center for almost year now. Literally the easiest paying job for me. If I cant find a scanner, I'll just help build pallets. If someone wants to move me around, I'll just tell them that I'm helping another associate. I agree that training should be longer. I just faked it like I knew what I was doing until someone came to show me how to do it correctly. It was hilarious when I was learning how to work a pallet jack. A manager had to come up to show me how to use one
Lol I start tomorrow at the sortation center in Berkley, MO. I appreciate the honest feedback.
I just had an interview for the Area Manager role at amazon and I'm so grateful for your info and problems you faced. If hired I will make sure to focus on these issues for my team.
That’s awesome!
You want some advice from a soon to be former area manager? You've probably started by now, if not do some more research, read some reviews from former and current Area managers from indeed. I will strongly advise you to BE AWARE.
It's going to be an uphill battle. If there aren't changes now, it means something.
Great quick was to get out out by your higher ups it starts at the top!! Good luck
No you won't Kimberly Alvarez, they won't let you do that, they have a system and you WILL follow it to a T or you will be fired and called not a team player..
Same. I only was there 4 days. They act one way towards you. Then they turn to another being.I couldn’t be around strange energy.
girl yes!!! I lasted 6-7 weeks, but it was not worth staying for basically the same reasons and others. things look up right after you quit! it's an experience and when you know what you know, you do what's best for you. in my opinion, just don't do it if you don't have to! I could write a whole blog post on this but I'm so glad I quit. that's funny, I didn't notice the quitting part on the app but I sent it to HR with a relatively quick response.
It sounds like Amazon has been taking notes from the overseas sweatshops that supply them tbh
I been working there over a year and so far good. And amazon is keeping me in shape.
Basically they pay you for walking, which is good to your body..
Only thing I don’t like is the short break time, and 2 mangers in the warehouse that keep on flirting with me.
Female managers?
20 minute breaks are long breaks. 15 minutes is standard everywhere else. What kind of break you want 9 hours and 45 minutes and get paid for your whole day?
@pillsbury coonboy what are you talking about? I'm there 10 hours absolutely no one stays anything if I go to the bathroom our breaks are 20 minutes and lunch is 30. 0 breaks you getting your info from a terrible source my friend. Stick to the facts and stop listening to the propaganda machine known as the mainstream media
Or maybe your managers are just being nice and you are just misinterpreting.
Amazon destroys your body that’s my opinion Amazon definitely will help you lose pounds if that’s what you mean lol
So you walk around desperately trying to find a scanner. OH! Here's one. Clearly, no one is using it, I'll get it. Ten seconds later, 'Somebody stole my scanner!'
haha pretty much
If she just walked to another department and asked for a scanner she can get one. I go to jackpot everyday and I can get one. Or talk to your P.A and say " can you pick up some scanners for us so when we come in we can do our job" . This generation can't seem to solve problems at all

Your critique about the scanners is spot on. Well said.
That might be true in the warehouse. Boxing, stowing, and picking have scanners at each station.
@@harpomianre6228 stowing is low on scanners too..the only way to guarantee you would get a scanner that worked was to arrive 30mina early to your shift
Show up a little earlier and boom scanner.
Here's the thing about scanners. If they aren't attached to a harness that you're supposed to be wearing, than they get lost. People forget where they put them. Alot of times, they get accidentally shipped out to other locations because they get left in totes. Not Amazon's fault. It's the associates fault.
Everyone doesn’t use the harness or just don’t have one and always leave the scanners in the most random places
I bought a harness after losing mine
The turnover at those hubs has to be absurd. The people who call in or never show up again has to be astronomical. Unionize, it's time for people to get paid and be respected.
amazons turnover rate is 100.9% lmao
People aren't going to go anywhere because they settle its simple, they're brainwashed. Fed Ex is more archaic than Amazon but at least they dont do that points bullshit, its almost like they dont care and its a double edged sword, on hand they dont care so they turn heads and forget on the other they dont care and turn their heads and ignore a blatant problem lol
Amazon employees earns unpaid time off, and my wife has accumulated, I believe 80 hours. If you're late, you can apply your unpaid time off to offset your lateness so that you don't accumulate points. I think full time earns 1 hour a week of unpaid time. I think people who complain about points have used up many hours of unpaid leave. This is different from paid time off and vacation.
@@someperson8151 not for a seasonal employee
Amazon fights unions tooth and nail. And they're bigger with more money :(
After a few days of training one of my manager’s comes up to me saying I wasn’t doing anything for 20 minutes according to the tech system. That’s the time added up of me “not doing the job” 🙄 I told him to check the cameras bc I was always doing something. I’m just slow bc I’m new and I’m learning new things smfh
Everything she says is 100% dead accurate. The new launch I'm at is an actual hell hole. The worst management ever. And the first thing all the idiots did was strip off all the tape and flags that designated equipment to specific departments and steal everything which does contribute to a hostile environment. She's so right about this. And the managers act like it's not a problem if there are no scanners or computers or radios, as if it's not one of the top aspects of their freaking jobs to make sure the workers have the tools to get the job done. The whole thing is trash.
I work at Amazon Arizona location and they have plenty of scanners! Stealing scanners is ignorant but it happens?
One week isn’t long enough to get a feel for the company. Each facility is different.
14 hours isn’t enough for anything except a first date.
Yes it is… if it’s a horrible place.
Yes! My first experience working for the FC in my area was so frustrating I quit in my second week simply because it was SOOO disorganized and it would take them hours to get all of the new hires situated into stations with all the equipment needed to work. When allowed to actually do my job I had no problem hitting rates but hated the downtime that was out of my control.
I am trying again in a new department though so hopefully this time is better.

I just started back in December. I’m in receiving I believe it’s called. The job isn’t that bad. But everyday I show up I’m like if they fire me I won’t be upset. My first day I was told to process things one way. Now it’s January and have been told 5 different ways to do things. So every day could be my last. Lol
Dose any one know if hitting that 42 rate is possible? Cause no matter how fast I move they say my rate is only 37. And thats me flying through items.
Lol
I probably wasn’t even hitting the rates during prime day lol. You seem to have a good attitude about the whole thing though. 👍🏻
It’s so ridiculous.. too many people thinking they are in charge.. walking around scrutinising every little thing you are doing.. scaring you to not be the “offender’s list”… yes, everyone telling you “no that’s not how you do it, you should be doing it this way”. Confused as fuck and the second you ask a question they are angry or inconvenienced 🥴🤪
The reason why there’s a lack of scanners is people leave them in the containers they get shipped off people take them home. They get crushed. They need to have a system. If you don’t bring back your scanner you gotta pay for it out to paycheck.
This was my experience. I quickly took a contract position for accounting to return back to my career path, but the contract job found someone so I'm unemployed again, and have to wait 90 days to re-apply to that warehouse because I really need a job. I'm still applying for accounting positions (only permanent ones) while waiting.

Bruhhh three years ago my first job was amazon and someone literally did that they stole my scanner and the next day I got talked to the manager and had to be retrained good thing I was only seasonal
I just started working in an Amazon warehouse. Luckily for me, leadership their is VERY serious and everything runs like clockwork, aside from the minor things that are bound to happen eventually, IE technical issues, spills, etc. But two of my fellow recent hires told me that at other locations, it was a disaster, just as you explained in the video. When it comes down to it, the first indicator of a good Amazon location to work at is management.
I showed up for the second day of training per my shift and no one from class was there 😂 and they had to find someone to help train me randomly 😂 I just walked away.
Former employee of Amazon. I loved the benefits but I didn’t like how they talked about rates and tot all the time.
Kinda want to get a job at Amazon just to experience all the bad stuff I hear about and make them fire me I would never quit
Same lol
That's my approach now. I'll be myself and if worse comes to worst, so be it.
The scanner issue is always going to be a problem, it was an issue with USPS too. People are lazy and they get scanners they leave them and don’t put them back they get lost and boom no scanners.
I worked as a dispatcher in a hertz location near the airport (we handled about 500 to 600 cars in that location) we used tablets with scanners to register the cars, and they were essential to do the job that I had assigned, literally every day I spent almost an hour after my shift started trying to get a damn tablet!
A lot of industries! I served at a restaurant that operated off toast and we didn't have enough handheld.
At an auction I worked at we would be short on peak times with full staff.
Adapt and overcome lol
um there are many digital clocks on the wall....
Very, very professional presentation. Great job, I've worked at Amazon (Wholefoods) and you are so on point, it's not just the warehouse where this happens. It is most definitely a leadership issue at the organization.
What you said is true. When I worked at Amazon, there have been times where there weren't enough scanners around. Then, I would spend 1 hour looking for one. There were many times that my scanner got stolen. Another problem is that people hoard, keep their scanner, make it their own without returning the scanner to the scanner shelf after using it. Another problem is when you come to work and there aren't enough walkie talkies. Again, people keep them without returning them in after use. I've seen people put scanners, walkie talkies in their lockers.
Simple, just tie the scanner and radio to the worker and it must be turned in after the shift or they pay for a new one. All scanners can be tracked along with the digital radios.
I don't get how that's ever YOUR problem though. Go to your supervisor and tell them. Problem solved?
And if they are like "YOU go and find one" I would tell the next person in the hierarchy that my supervisor doesn't provide my working material.
And if that one acts like an idiot, I'd talk to the next one in the hierarchy. And at some point, there will be scanners... because money.
I’m afraid I’d be talking to upper management due to the fact I’ve had multiple positions in a large food distribution warehouse in my 40 years. Definitely sounds like they need an Undercover Boss with Bezos. Then again, he might not care in his present social/economic position.
Okay, I can confirm right away that number of scanners issue is everywhere. Actually literally everything you discussed here are accurate to my own experience.
I just started. Leadership all seems lost and clueless. My biggest issue is that there wasn’t a member of HR in orientation (4 hrs) to answer basic questions. The individuals I had to interact with were apparently on the “training path”. One was burned out and didn’t care to be helpful. The other was brand new and didn’t know anything.
There is a complete lack of information at Amazon. No one knows how anything works, or who to contact about issues. They have a dry erase board where members can write suggestions on the board such as “add xyz food to the break room” but I don’t think suggestions are ever acted on by management
Since I’m in outbound ship dock it takes me about 5 minutes to walk to the front of the building. Up front they have an immaculate break room full of coolers, lockers, video games, and a coffee machine. The break room we have in the back is tiny, has a limited selection of anything, and there are definitely no games or tvs in it. I also don’t think the sc”air conditioner works in it. You could walk back out on the floor and be at least 10 degrees cooler.
Overall I’m not impressed. Two days of being protected by training status and on the 3rd day they threw us to the wolves. I honestly have a feeling they take bets and go out of their way to see who they can break and get to quit. (Management)
It’s also very clicky*, gossipy, and back stabbing. Big red flag. I don’t trust management and I damn sure don’t trust the guy working next to me.
This
Yes, I swore I heard management betting on who will quit
Every warehouse job is like this .... we are there just a number not a human
The trainer's are nice in the training to get that positive survey.
Not always true
So sad for the money to live in America for us young workers
It's good for an entry level job. Amazon has tuition assistance, if you want to further your career. They don't expect reimbursement or servitude after you complete your education. Amazon doesn't ask for a job history or educational background from the last guy I helped with the application.
So so so TRUE!! There are so many scanners that are broken or dead or possessed. And they also don’t properly train half the staff on certain things
It's 2 days of training it should be a week training I definitely agree with you on that
I just got a job at Amazon and this makes me super nervous. How in the hell am I supposed to get my exact lunch time if I’m on the phones? Thanks for posting this, appreciate it. I now know what I need to prepare for.
i’m sure u can see it’s fine. Not bad at all.
I have officially been working for Amazon for a month now, and let me tell you my experience!
My position is a heavy bulk sorting position, I honestly just scoop up heavy boxes with a dolly all 5 hours a shift and move them to their sortment location within the warehouse, which is just a taped square lol. I do this from 10pm-3am and yes, it's alot of walking.
I barely talk to 3 people every shift I get, as an introvert, this is amazing
I love/hate that you can choose when you want to work with the a-z app. It could take up to a couple of days to find an open shift.
The job honestly is pretty tiring, I'm 6ft 210 pounds and I get tired on the last hour. Wearing comfy steel toed shoes with an added layer of padding really changed this for me however.
Don't know if I just got lucky or more Amazon's are like this, but over all my job experience has been a 7/10.
I've worked at a Starbucks for 5 years and would much rather get paidin wage to move boxes than to get paid min wage to do a shift supervisor position and get yelled at by entitled customers all day. Lol
Ask my anything if you want as well!
Is your position like a package sorter? I start in 2 weeks!
@@jadep7370 yeup.
Basically being anti social is quirky now
@@solofemaletravelerme not really. I have had mine for two years and don't have any issues with them. You need to swap out the padding though. That's what made a difference.
I only worked a week also. Could not get any help from hr. Work was too heavy. I loved the job but I'm 70 years old and all I needed was a little help lifting over my head. Pulling carts long ways was too difficult for me also
I had my lunch stolen right from the break room refrigerator a few weeks ago. I keep my food in the guard shack now. No one messes with it there. Yes, I did have times when scanners didn't work when i was doing non con. And some scanners had the safety straps ripped out or taken off, and i needed those to be able to scan effectively. It was also sometimes very hard to find a charged battery. These were oftentimes common work day hazards. I did try to get there a little bit early to get a good scanner and battery before they were gone. My building also has a parking lot that is a pain to get in and out of and people would back into a parking space and block traffic as they stop in the middle of the traffic lane and back into a space. It drove me nuts. When I went to the new fulfillment center this past summer, the parking lot there was bigger, so I didn't have that issue and, despite the large number of people there, no one there stole my food. I did have one rude experience with one of the packing team ambassadors when I tried to ask for help. I told the learning team coordinator about it, as I was an ambassador myself, so I knew who to talk to about it. Ambassadors are supposed to be very helpful and for the most part, we try to be. This is just a little about my past experiences there. I'm in logistics now for peak on a seasonal assignment on TOM team, back at my sort center.
Wow that’s wild. I’m glad that’s a better location all around it seems.
@davidadler how do you or did you like being on the TOM team? I’ve been on the TOM team in Colorado for a little over a year now. This week I’m testing at the DMV to get my CDL permit.
I remember working at Amazon in 2017, and I had a bag of mini pack m&m with 6 packs from Dollar Tree, and someone stole 3 packs out of the refrigerator. I wanted my candy to be cold, so I just started leaving them in my locker.
The point at the end you made about "Thinking of leaving Amazon" speaks volumes.
You are very right!
Many of the direct managers ( Not the general Manager) are outside hired and had not been managing their group for a long time or never managed anyone before Amazon. So you already knew how they are.
Lots of the equipments are not maintained properly on daily basis and many are broken when you start to use at your shift , this is why associates will just take others working equipments or tools from the work stations which are not in use at the time.
No different then any other job. ,🙄
Definitely have the same scanner issues at my location. If you don’t get there early enough you’re pretty much guaranteed to wait about a half hour before you can do any work and are just left standing there feeling like an idiot.
Right...That was the main reason I quit, I come to work to work not search for a scanner, that was soooooo aggravating
this happens just becuse the previous shift doesn't care less about you and nobody put the devices in recharge. Same here in UK. Each morning I go angry because that!
I thought about applying to Amazon but have read and heard so many negative thoughts about the company. Thanks for the information.
Everybody is different. You should try! I like it
@@lumarismojica6550 That’s definitely true!

Trust me it's not always that way
@@alucard2010 Definitely. There are many people who have completely different experiences than mine and that’s great! Again, my intention wasn’t to bash the company, but to instead explain my personal reasons for leaving.
Hi last time I work in Amazon kt Singapore n what u said is true...so on second day I quit the job ,now I work as quality checker the best job that I have,ya I know the salary at Amazon is a good paid but u know their management is bad
So how do you know when you actually need to clock in/out if it’s different from your scheduled time?
You’ll receive a paper on your first day that will tell you which time to clock in. It depends where in the alphabet your last name lies.
It's on your ATo Z app
This is one of those jobs where you take lots of bathroom breaks, laugh at everything, and stress nothing. Just milk it out till their about to fire you and then "hurt yourself on the job". Your pretty good looking girl so you can always pull the sexual harassment card.. Don't quit jobs like Amazon. Use them and abuse them then move onto a job you should take seriously.
Lol 😂
You know it was crazy. This is three years ago and it’s still a problem even at Amazon spinoff locations.
I agree completely, I quit after 2 weeks because it was pathetic working for them. I love warehouse jobs but at amazon they never have there shit together and over work there employees
how do you know how it is to work with amazon after 1 week lol
One week is enough time
Working at Amazon was miserable. It felt like a never ending nightmare
I can tell you this, they pick on who they think will take it. I worked for amazon 2 years straight. I give them that look like....Dont play with me i just want to do my job. Ive been at amazon before that point system came about so i cant speak on that. but the T.O.T they give out is horrible. People dont fall for the smiles.
It's not easy being an Amazombie. But at least, having a foot in the door.
Very helpful. I'm scheduled to start there next week, same hours as you, seasonal, and I keep hearing more and more stories like this. I think I'm going to blow it off and continue to enjoy my retirement.
😂whatever
Everything you mentioned is true, I started at sortation 2 weeks ago, they are very rude, like you I am hardworking too, always willing to learn, but the way they talk to you or order you around is very demeaning.
What state are you in? I start the 11th

There's nothing worse for a job than bad management. It seems there's no accountability for managers like there should be, and the managers won't hold themselves accountable. Just a terrible situation.
Yeah it just sounds like a really bad location. I started working at Amazon a couple weeks ago and I’m honestly enjoying it
@@imvge could be. A change to another manager can make all the difference. I've experienced this firsthand.
I guess people get down and angry working for a business model that is destroying the local business, middle class, and the foundation of sovereign country. Good for you to stand up !
???? It's the consumer that's destroying local business. So are you willing to pay $5 for hammer or $2 for one. If you want to save local business then pay the higher price. But people want cheaper so there ya go
@@alucard2010 I agree. The brainwashed innocent consumers, head down on their phone, not being able to see the big picture.
I ,lately try to buy local, even at a higher price.
@@anikibrother7691 but we didn't have cell phones in the 80'$ explain that one
Whenever my location orders new scanners and/or TC devices it usually takes upwards of 2-3 weeks for them to arrive
She is very right about everything she said. I am currently working at amazon UK. Its my 6th day, morning shift. Previously worked in education for many years. This job is modern slavery. The management talk to staff like shit, staff are not valued and if u new no one interact with u. The have 5mins talk b4 start of shift and breaks, it's all about pushing u to work, work hard. And u have some experience staff walking up and down doing jack shit. They give new staff the harder jobs and older experience staff just picking easy jobs. I will be leaving if I can last until Friday
Woah that location must suck! I loved working at my location!
the scanner thing boils down to managerments poor accountability of the scanners they have assigned to their department. If they are running out of scanners they can reach out to IT department to get more but their request will typically get denied when they tell IT they only have 50* scanners and IT has 75* assigned to them.
What warehouse did you work at ( NJ )
im part time so i just gotta work 2 days per month to keep my job 😂
@@minority86 how does that work?
One week and you didn't mind the job and it was like a free workout? Try doing it for 6 years and tell me how fun it is and what a great workout it is. Amazon is a horrible place and now it is trying to screw me out of my job because of an injury I received there
I’ve worked at ups. Is amazon really worse?
No way!! Ups is horrible compared to amazon
Working at Amazon makes you question your bloody existence
I got injured a month ago and I've been there for 2 months. I put in a accommodation and it was denied. Because it was denied I got on a leave of absence. I currently work for Amazon. I'm a stower and its not for me. I got 2 write ups for not meeting my rate. I can get trained in something else.
YES it's a very common problem people stealing your scanner and it's even worse during peak season. They stole my scanner and my manager scolded me demanding that I have to attach a strap with the scanner. Good for you that you quit . I bet you don't regret it one little bit
Many people that have worked as amazon drivers have quit, and it's understandable why so many amazon drivers quit. Lots of amazon delivery drivers that quit are hard workers, have a great work ethic, are great employees, are in great physical shape, etc.
Many amazon delivery drivers quit since they constantly feel pressured and rushed to make 200 stops per day and make 20 stops per hour. At Amazon, many drivers have to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour, and they're being monitored to make sure they're making 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour. There's lots of circumstances that occur that make it hard or even impossible to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour such as traffic jams, detours, rainy conditions, delivering several packages to apartment complexes, customers asking questions about packages, etc. Many amazon delivery drivers urinate in cups on the side of the road due to fearing that if they stop somewhere to use the bathroom, they won't be able to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour. Many amazon delivery drivers skip their breaks, run stop signs, run red lights, etc due to feeling rushed and pressured to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour.
Some people stay longer and some people don't. If you are dire for a job to make bill payments, you just to stick to it. Even grocery stores are so competitive in my area, it's hard to get a job. I've been looking for a job for a year now but technically I've been fully focus on getting job six months ago. There's nothing on the horizon. I'm in the tourism industry but it's completely non existent now.
It's great to know what to expect before I really apply for the job.
I finally quit mu Amazon Job a few weeks ago. As I have stated, I got tired of fighting for hours, staying on my phone for hours while I'm on my other job. So I gave it up, and I'm so glad I did. I can get all the overtime on my main job now.
I start in 2 days and after reading all the comments I’m a wittle scared now 😭
I start the 11th lol. What state are u in
@@MYJOURNEYWITHSANTAMUERTE In Texas, i just came back from driving over there just to know how to get there.
@@nightsky1714 I'm in miami. In nervous lol
Amazon prime uk, not that bad
U still work there
I've been there almost 2 years. No, it's not the best job but it's the most money I've made and I've been lucky enough to be put in a spot, tote jack pot, that I actually like because I'm not really around anyone else and there's no scan rate to maintain. Having an accommodation doesn't hurt either.
1st off I would like to say you are really good and speaking and keeping your audience engaged
2nd I am currently working at amazon/ just started a little over a week ago and the are the most unorganized company I’ve worked for.
Everything you stated is true and it’s so disappointing
Thank you so much! Same here. It is a shame.

So, I'm considering working as a Fresh Grocery Associate in the Seattle area, close to the Starbuck Center. Is it really worth it, considering how crappy Amazon is?
Also fyi there's a difference between the ar facilities (robots) and traditional. Imo traditional seems way more tolerable as your driving around rather than standing in one spot all day with managers breathing down your back.
Just quitted right now lol after 8months Of stowing. I had a terrible experience working there, hated it everyday and it got worse when they switched me with a new manager. She gave me 6 write ups for work performance in her first month wit ought even telling me they were write ups. The whole environment is terrible and every amazon is the same. The scanner issue was the thing I couldn’t stand the most because while your trying to find a scanner to do your job, they take it against you and try to give you TOT or write ups for not performing 100% even though you know you lost time trying to find a scanner. My final write up didn’t even make sense , I received a final write up for taking an extra day off the week even though I was using Personal time off! That doesn’t make scence what’s the point of having those benefits of personal time off and vacation hrs if it’s going to count against you on your weekly work report.
I currently work at an Amazon delivery station. I have been there for 7 months and I'm already ready to run away as fast as I can. New hires come and go every week or so after just getting hired. Their stow rates are outrageous. Stowing sucks the life out of people in a ten hour shift like ever other job at a delivery station. Pick and stage at an Amazon delivery station is MURDER. Area Managers ride our tails pretty hard about meeting quotas per Amazon Corporate orders to badger us daily to meet their quotas.
I was in a Delivery Station too, luckily they have chasers to help with picking.
Quit after my first day at a delivery station. I went off of reviews with people saying it was more laid-back and they rather it over a FC. Yeah it was nothing at laid-back about it. We were already being rushed in stow on barely our first day.
@@justmi8744 You told nothing but truth. I swear I wish I had known then what I know now. If I had known it was going to be like this, I would have walked out of my day one training class that day. It ain't getting no better since I been working there. I've seen so many employees quit. We even lost all the managers that started when I first came there.
@@patriciaboyd2681 What are chasers? We don't have those at my station?
I feel u about the Scanners problems at Amazon, when I first started working at Amazon they used to always run out of scanners’ or if u leave your scanner down for a second’ somebody will take it..it was real frustrating
I'm not working there. Sounds like I'll have to cuss somebody out.
Ive worked at 3 separate amazon facilities. I personally love working for them. I know some locations I hear are really bad, but so far, I haven't had any bad experiences. I personally prefer only working 4 days vs a 5 day week, so then I have 3 days off. I worked for Walmart between 2 amazon facilities, and I think Walmart is far worse than Amazon.
That’s great to hear!
I have 5 days right now 8 hours a day how can you request to work 4 days
I have worked here for a month and I’m quitting because I’m really only making $300-$400 more a week then what I was making doing lyft/doordash/instacart. $300 more working triple the hours . I work 20-25 hours a week doing gig work . Sure it’s wear and tear on my car but I rather buy another car . You only get one body folks !! And I don’t consider myself supper lazy lol I’ll just put more time doing gig work lol . I was a boatswain mate in the navy and that’s an hard job. This is the first civilian job I ever done that gave that job in the military a run for its money . All that up and down movement on the ladders not to mention the hike just to go up all those stairs .
Believe me, I left with very little money in my pocket. Do I regret it? No!
Why i and others quit amazon. They always do this to the best employees. When we’re packing. And we finish our wall. They make us go do rebinding or inducting. Of you keep doing this to your employees, they’ll get tired of your crap and resign.
For the new hires, What is the expected number of scanned boxes per hour?
90 in my warehouse and 350 for small seasonal flat envelopes
We started out wanting 180 for regular packages and 400 for smalls and 1000 for gaylord smalls. At the time I left the sort floor, they wanted 145 for regular packages, 80 for large packages, 600 for smalls and 1200 for Gaylord smalls
300 scanned as a stower was mine. that included boxes, jiffys & so on.
