Very informative. I'm not a small engine mechanic so I'm struggling getting my fs45 working again. Thank you for all the info. The only thing you could add is tuning high and low fuel screws but there are lots of other videos covering that. My stock fs45 (sold in canada) does not have an adjustable high fuel range so I bought an aftermarket carburetor that has an H screw. Being able to tune H and L for temperature and altitude is very important. Cheers and thank you
Thanks for watching my videos. Yes, I will cover carburetor tuning in the future. This will not be a voice over due to the noise of the engine when revving. Thanks to all my subscribers in 🇨🇦.
Most of those FS45's have a carb with an accelerator pump. One good test to see if it is leaking is to press the primer bulb while looking down the throat of the carb (airbox removed obviously) and if you see any fuel coming out when you press the primer just buy a new carburetor as a gasket kit won't fix that problem.
Interesting! Hope I can find a spare carby to have a look, play around and study this accelerator pump and what special tools we could develop and how to fix it. Thanks for watching, especially your constructive comment. Cheers, VARIETECH
