Cliche but Raye seems down to earth. And to me her carreer is a bit like watching Amy not destroying herself. Please dont do that Raye. I hope she does even better in the future. Smash those records 🙂
@ This is what commercial success looks like, kid. There’s thousands of artists and bands out there that wish they were doing her numbers. Stop with the fake victim hood.
@raye is the voice of our generation. Painfully relatable lyricist, party anthem boss and so down-to-earth as a person! Girl from 'the ends' made it big, she's an inspiration.
I'm obviously not in her shoes and don't know all that she's been through, but from seeing many of her interviews she seems to have a victim mentality. Hope she's able to break out of that. She has more control than she thinks.
Love Raye and appreicate the interview. Technically I find the framing a bit jarring... the cuts back to the interviewer were too often and too close I'd say. Might be an idea to have them in the same frame when interviewer asks the questions, something about this set up felt a little clunky/awkward. Just my op tho I could be completely off lol.

raye should be a superstar- she’s so under appreciated
Hasn't she won a bunch of awards and here she is being interviewed on the BBC ?

@@pqunit i don’t think you know what “superstar” means
@ I don’t think you do actually, kid. Are you a musician ? Do you work in the industry ?

Would be fascinating to know who would be on the list of BBC 100 Men? Which men they admire?
I'm so down for a female owned jazz bar in South LDN
Raye & Tinashe such similar journeys in the industry
I care
How long are we going to keep putting labels like “100” or “woman” on everything?

Yet another Amy Winehouse clone, a literal cloned copy and rebranded as Raye.....when you know, you know!
