Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: I'm with you in spirit. Thank you for taking those of us who can't be there... along for a beautiful journey!
WOW....interesting agat, never heard of porcelain-rock before, loved that orange one what ever it wasYes, I LOVE those tree-stumps/remnants or what to call them, that is weathered by water and snow and sun, they are like artworkcool rocks, thank`s.
I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and finally subscribed! Hubby and I lived in Cody, Wyoming for 2 years and loved every adventurous moment! We have been back 3 years in a row and. Rockhound at every chance. We love the rocks in Wyoming and Montana. Finally stopped at a boat launch last summer on the Yellowstone, and now hubby is excited to rockhound there! In the mean time, I vicariously rockhound with you, your hubby, Theo & his fiancée! (I also have followed Theo for a long time). If I had grown up out there, I would have become a geologist! I’ve learned a lot from watching both of u, especially the identifying of rocks & minerals less familiar to me. ROCK ON
Wow, that porcelinite is nice. Jasper/TSA is beyond awsome. Webs all over that rock. Cava needs boots too. So we can watch her walk funny😂. The agatized/limbcast was superb.
The banks of the Puget Sound, where I live, a lot of the time when the tide is out silt dulls the rocks making it hard to find good stuff. It's best right after a storm and then the rocks won't be covered in silt. You always have a few good finds. Have a happy rock collecting time.
Wow Kate! It was such a gorgeous day! And then you look at the rocks, and they are all a muddy grey/brown! Every last one of them! It's amazing that you can find anything in all that yuck! But you found some real beauties! That last piece was fantastic! Such gorgeous colors! And that TSA was amazing! I want to see you cut that one! To see if the banding is inside the rock too! What a phenomenal find! And all that beautiful pet woods! Amazing! And to top it all off, you found a stromatolite! And a really nice one too! Just fantastic! What an amazing day! Thanks so much for sharing!❤️
That limb cast was superb! Stromatolites always fascinate me, so amazing to think about how they formed! Thanks for taking us on your adventures! Always fun on days you don't have a chance to go on your own adventures!
looks like coral to me. Sure would love to rockhound at the Yellowstone River. Last time I was there I was taking pictures for a future painting. So many treasures you found.
I really enjoy your rock hunts and how you show them cleaned up after each find. That red jasper limb cast is gorgeous! I’m so envious of your rocks out there, but I have to laugh when you get excited about finding pink quartz or quartzite. Quartz and quartzite is what we have lots of here in VA. The west side of our county , which butts up against the Blue Ridge Mountains, has blue quartz. I found some in the new river stone lining the back of my yard and Costco’s parking lot.😁
The slimed rocks are still fun. I saw something on TH-cam that you might like. Desert Drifter is the site and the video is is titled Giants live here. Weirdest rocks I have ever seen and a good surprise just a few minutes in. Keep taking us along on your adventures. Thanks so much for all the fun
How close to Yellowstone park? Taking 4 year old grandson to Yellowstone and would love to take him rock hounding he thinks all rocks are agates loves rocks
Quite far from the park - but the Yellowstone River actually starts there, and you can find rocks along the river just outside the park. Agates not so much - but like you said, all rocks are agates when you are four. :)
If you knew anything about geese, they were not at all alarmed. If they had been, they would not have landed about 20 feet away. The only feathers ruffled were yours.

I'm so glad you enjoy it, Kelly!
Thank you for taking me along with you! Even with the muck covered rocks you prove that any day rockhounding is a good day to find beautiful rocks!
It really is!
Nice! It looks like your fortification agate may have some druzy pockets in it, beautiful stone. Happy hounding have an awesome day.

Hi, she has boots, and she DOES walk funny when I put them on! She doesn't care for them, though, so I only use them when absolutely necessary.

Lots of muddy rocks right now. Maybe this weekend storm will clean them a little. We can dream. Thank you ❤😊❤
I hope so! We have snow around these parts, though - which will likely make them just more muddy. :D
We can dream of clean rocks! LOL
Love the music on this video and absolutely love your petrified wood finds.

Thank you for identifying what the rocks are! Been rock hounding for years but just starting to know the names.
I'm glad it's helpful!

Ooooh, that sounds amazing!
So so beautiful. You live in a wonderful part of this country.
Thank you - I agree. :)
Katy at 4:47 your chatting about the white rock with cracks .we couldn't catch the name..we actually found one last year when we were in montana
The name of the rock isn't specific - it's the name of the pattern, which is "stockwork." It's cool, isn't it?
Hey Katy, you finally found my coral. Kidding, but I would love to get one. That limbcast with the jasper is truly beautiful.
It was fun to find all of it!

I will check it out! :)
That looks like a nice TSA you got on the thumbnail 😊
Not as epically awesome as the one you found - but very cool nonetheless! :D
Nice find
Thank you ❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
Very cool giant agate. Awesome ❤
Thanks - I was so surprised!
First time I learned "Stockwork" for a multitude of filled fractures.
Would love to go on a hunt with you two!
I learned the term from another TH-camr, ThirstFast. :)
Most definitely!
:)
You have such a good eye !
Lots of practice. :)
Tge holes are kind of big for palm wood. I would have guessed coral. Do you cut the stromatolites?
I think it probably is coral. I have cut stromatolites before, and may cut this one.
I find a lot of rocks that resemble a face . Human ,animal and sometimes creatures!
That's really fun!
I bet some of these look great when cut.
Yep, I think so too!

Would love to see that agate if you cut it!
👍👍👍🥰
:)
Why would you let your bad dog chase the geese! Taking from nature what want ,but no respect for nature. Sad.
Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the rude comment pointing out the stuff you think is bad karen. Doors that way.....see yourself out if you dont like the content 😊
