Best grader I ever ran in twenty years. Love the controls your engineers did a very good job of thinking about the operator. As an operator Tell them THANK YOU!! You made my job a lot better.
Been running old 140g's for years, when I got on my first M I out worked our other 3 graders hands down, best grader on the market right now, all others follow cats lead
@MattyG135 Articulation control is on the left joystick. Twist it left and machine will twist to the left. Twist right for right twist. Press the yellow button on the top left of the same joystick to auto re-center the articulation.
I am a sub contractor to an oilfield company and run a 163H, when mine was down they let me try out the new M and I must say it really threw me for a loop, but I didn't feel half the fatigue I do at the end of the day.
Although the same overall length as the current G&H, the 2extra ft of wheel base relieves your worries of catching a tire with the moldboard. The implement Modulation (fine, med & course) is awesome! Adjusting the lift cylinders to accommodate the operators Reaction to: Ground Speed timing is Ingeniousness ! And the list goes on.....

I'll be running one of these next year, but right now, I'm pushing over piles of rap down and spreading over dirt roads and I'll tell you right now, I love my 12H and the steering wheel I get to hold onto as that grader bucks and jumps going over that pile of rap! You can't go slow either, not when you have 5-10 dump trucks behind you waiting to dump!
Never mind real graders, what about real grader operators? They are the ones who have the ability to adapt to whatever machine they are using at the time. Every different grader has it's good and bad points. Too bad there are so many "operators" out there who can only bag machines they don't like for whatever bullshit reason. There are no bad graders, just bad grader operators.
they have a left arm rest but your arm still tends to drift fucking up your steering, as i was told by a operator with 60 years experience on a grader. He did like the visibility of the cab, but still prefers the H series graders.
Cat will never even consider reverting back to the old G & H models. That's like Chevy making a 1982 Sting Ray style Corvette for 2014 instead of the current C6 model. Face it 'ol timers.....you're old.....and this shit is new and only gunna get newer. And yes, young bucks like me lack your experience, but, when I'm your ages with your experience, on this machine or better,,,you will turn in your grave to the amount of work I will accomplish in a single day!
The m series is ok, but the weight distribution and hydraulics in the H models are still superior. Cat has some bugs to work out in the M before it will out do the H.
After being a human speed bump/flagger for 30 years, I just lost my cherry to a 160M2. We've bonded & I call him Chester..... it ain't ez being cheezy!
Another guy doing a walk-through on a machine they obviously don't run. It's doesn't have 2 go pedals, it's an accelerator and inching pedal. Also you've got to select ranges faster than that.
"Real controls", "Now that's a grader", "I'll take my steering wheel".......? If you ignorant old timers would go into it with an open mind, you'd realize what a better machine the M series actually is. With the decelerator/throttle resume bottoms, your foot doesn't hardly need to touch the pedal. Along with Shuttle Shift, completely eliminates the need for a clutch. The Arch Return to Center frees up your mind, so you can focus on more important things while the machine centers itself.
Did you just go through a years worth of comments and decide to "school" me? Am I one of your "quotation-mark" "operators"?... how very presumptive of you...well the floor is yours, post some vids, show me some operating skill that will blow my mind, Better yet come show me, I'll make sure there is a seat open for you.
If you have never operated an M-Series grader, you have no business commenting on it. You don't have a clue what you're talking about. I have been operating graders for years, G's, H's & M's. Love them all, but the M-Series joystick controls are the way of the future, so face up, get used to it or get left behind.
i'm not really impressed with this new type of grader either,,, i prefer my throtle, steering weel and all the levers,,,, i dont think this new model is going to last very long. Cat will end up going back to the older type grader after they realize their new model is a piece a crap!!
Damn how true, this is one of the worst machines I have ever had the pleasure of running. Volvo should buy up all of these, melt them down and make real graders out of the them!!!
These graders are the best out there, it only took 15-20 mins and I was grading fine. Love them

Spot on. If you can't adapt, by all means go back to whatever you're used to and let the people who are capable of adapting take over. Learn or burn.
Very convenient and ergonomic control. And the whole cabin - very comfortable!
Thanks for this. I was changing tires on one and couldn't figure how to rotate the blade. Had no idea you just had to twist it lol

I am old school. I need the console with 12 levers, a steering wheel, and my throttle lever and gears off to my right! Now THAT's a true grader!

I'm not an operator, but that looks like it would be a scary learning curve just to move it forward and steer it!

That concert they was advertising on the radio was naming good bands
i have run a cat 140m for two years that guy doesnt know what he is doing must be a salesmen Cat made a great grader i love the m
Phew, isn’t that just a beautiful machine..
So what grader do u like better the cat or the deere from your other video
how could u not like this?
I couldn't have said it any better, so true!!
Can you inquire about the warning signs that appear on the screen
Yep your right I took simulation class had no problem easy to control.
super)) thanks for this video ))
Good machine
cool, i want one as my daily driver
How do you make the front wheels slanted so only the edge of the tire digs in? How do you get the blade out vertical?
sou operador patroleiro classificado desde 2006 já trabalhei com varias marcas de motoniveladora, mas com esta nunca trabalhei.
Articulation and front wheel tilting options are not shown unfortunately.Adroit demonstration title states!Thank you for video fellow

I might need to trade in the Ol' Chapion 710a
Great video
The Cat M Graders are nice.
Kyle
The Joysticks are allot better than the 30 levers they uses to have to operate the blade. .
the book is on the table.
I've operated this one a lot but could never figure out how to get its blade to the side. Could anyone help me out and let me know?
Very true buddy, it's the operators, not the grader
wow thats a quiet one
all ready seen this on vantagetes but still awsome
hmm..i think ill stick with my rack and wheel controls but i do like the visibility
After being a human speed bump/flagger for 30 years, I just lost my cherry to a 160M2. We've bonded & I call him Chester..... it ain't ez being cheezy!
Please tell me how to vertical Blade to make taluy????
@CDNcatskinner Omg how I agree with ya, the M is horrible. Real controls and a steering wheel, thats a grader.
Nice but you forgot to make the back articulate out so the front is offset from the back .
👍👍
that is awesome
lmao don't forget to wear your seatbelt plowing snow....county got those and at two have busted the windshield with their heads
where do you get your job
To sad that you did not explain how to lock the differential and decelerator/throttle resume bottoms.I say in general good, but not completed.
NICE WORKING
Mast hai hame bhi grader dekha hai
i thought the same thing. until i tried the joy sticks. after about a half day i was sold.

I'm operator grader and am looking for work can someone help me?
How much is it??
For sold How much is it??
Cat throws in the tow bar for free...so you can have a Caterpillar mechanic around at all times, real graders have real controls
Keep your shirt on. The point I make is valid, technology is moving forward whether you are or not.
Keeso video sean en español
better than diggin' ditchen 'n bitchen or as i like to call them bitchen n bitchen and more bitchen..lmfao!!!
I haven't had that problem at all, if you have your arm from elbow to wrist fully on the arm rest that should never happen
@specialks1953 lmfao i thought the samr thing

A 14g will still run circles around this junk.
