Nicely shown I learnt from my friend to make this with cooked rice, instead of mixing rice flour and then heating till it thickens. Add little curds and pulse the cooked rice to a thick paste. Thereafter add all other ingredients and make the vadas. Using left over rice to make this is faster. Comes out very well.

Yes that's a choice purposely chosen. The food already cooked and ready to eat and pulsing again frying is completely unhealthy so I prefer not to use cooked rice .
