My wife surprised me this morning when I got home from working by hitting the trials for Athena, who she has mained as since our first date ten years ago when we played KoF12.
I knew Ralf was a big boy but seeing him next to Terry, who is already quite a beefy man, really puts it in perspective. He's massive. And of course then there's the REAL big boys like Antonov.
It's good to see a good fighting game, other companies will take notes and improve their games to be on par or on higher POWER LEVEL. Competition between brands is always a win-win for customer 🙂

Old player here. While accounting for composition gives better results, I love to use themes for my teams. Currently playing with Maxima, Dinosaur and Anthonov. Team big guys.
Just the simple good ol' short - short into special move, was so much harder to do in older KOFs, seeing this game simplified to a point, but still remaining it's own thing really fills me with joy as a KOF fan. Now XV truly brings the best time for other people who haven't grown with the titles to fully learn the game and enjoy the experience without having to face cheap CPU's and Golike Fightcade players.
@@p6mkq Yeah, Kof XIV and XIII were much easier to do it, but out of them all 15 is the one that give you the most meter and the options for comboing. XIII people would just save meter and HD to totally obliterate someones health bar with a 30 second combo while in XIV the game would cripple some characters with the EX being used only by using HD. XV still is the easiest one to play by a mile away in my opinion.

I may be relatively new to fighting games since this is about my fourth year playing fighting games, but despite being a fan of games like Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, King of Fighters feels so simplistic and fluid, and really scratches that character itch of letting me play more than one character! I'm loving it and I'm currently rocking Angel, Kyo, and Terry! I'm excited for this games future!
I'm about 3 years in myself. This game seems to be "the one" that I've been looking for. Played DBFZ, and while I loved that game, no rollback/crossplay hurts my desire to really play it so much. Guilty Gear Strive was fun at launch, but matches tend to end extremely quickly, and while I apprexiate the RC system and being able to make unqiue combos on the fly, the short matches are what made me stop playing (aside from when new dlc drops of course). This game has everything I wanted. Longer matches, combo variety, a cast I can't decide on who I want to play.
KoF finally got the second wind it needed. Looks great, plays great, and has a wonderful horizon ahead of itself with the possible roster expansions. It's good to see a beloved franchise steal the spotlight again, when Samurai Shodown seems to have vanished from everyone's radar after its good launch. I can't help but wonder if this is finally the right time to revive old, beloved franchises, such as Rival Schools, Last Bronx, Toshiden and even Darkstalkers.
I love Ryo in this game, forward punch being cancelable does wonders, and he's always been a SF inspired character but this version feels specific to 3rd Strike with the parries. Pretty sweet
The game is so cool. I've been waiting for this kind of game since the tekken 7 release. I've started loving kof when I tried Kof13, The art style was perfect. It's a shame so little people know about this game. I hope Kof will be one of mainstream fighting games someday. And 15 is certainly on its way. I personally really enjoy playing old Ikari team with Haidern, Ralf and Clark, it's so much fun with Clark grappling moves))

This is pretty much my first KOF game. I knew about the series for a while but never really dove into the series outside of the Capcom/SNK games, but right now I'm enjoying it. I'm going through every character in the practice mode now to see who I want to main but the characters are so diverse its hard. I'm enjoying myself right now though. Keep up the good work. I saw someone in the comments here suggest you pick your teams based on archetypes. Like for example, Team Big Bois being Antonov, King of Dinosaurs, Ralf or Team Cuties being Athena, Yuri, etc etcetc.
Started my venture into KOF through 14, just playing combo trials since my heart burns for combos more than actually playing matches most of the time. Then I tried out Ralf, and specifically during his Galactica Phantom super, I had that moment. "Oh yeah, this guy's the one". He is never going to leave my team, ever.
Hi Max, playing and watching kof15 matches way better than watching and playing Sf5 and MK11 tbh. Nobody talks about the soundtracks in kof15 but they are so good.
This game is checking all the boxes i want in a fighting game. I really do hope the other producers step up they're game like SNK did (mainly capcom with SF6).
KOF has always been one of those series ive seen a lot of but never actually played. Going through the cast and finding who I like has been loads of fun, no better feeling than reverse 3-0'ing with Leona : )
Can SNK make a Resident Evil 4/5/6 knock-off or something that just stars Clark and Ralf Ikari Warrior'ing it up shooting fools in between performing sick wrestling moves and high impact beatdowns? Clark's shirt in this reminds me so much of Chris in Resident Evil 5, and their move sets are perfect for it.

LOVE the music in this game. I don't even really like fighting games and this one has me really interested. Is that weird? From the point of view of someone (UNLIKE me) that actually knows all the technical stuff. Like, I know nothing, but the mechanics that I can kind of pick up on after just watching Max makes this game seem really good. It looks pretty deep to me as an outsider. Again, I haven't played a fighting game since Tekken Tag for PS2 :)
KOF '97 was my first introduction to the fighting game genre and to the series, I was four years old at the time. KOF '97 was popular back then and I remember everyone main Robert, Ralf, and even Orochi Yashiro. My all-time favourite KOF games are '98, 2002, XI, and XIII. The characters in the mainline series are really awesome. But if someone asked me who's my all-time favourite characters I'll definitely say Kyo, Terry, Iori, Leona, Benimaru, Rock, Ash, and _sigh_ my first video game crush Athena. Welcome everyone new to KOF, it has taken 28 years to see KOF finally blossom.
Really happy to see Max still hasn't let go of Kyo from his main team. Kyo has been my main since I was a kid. I just love to see anyone who takes Kyo in their main team.

Man Isla really is such a super cool character. I've never been interested in KOF before but I'm picking up this game first chance I get and she is absolutely gonna be on my team. Isla, Luong, and Shermie are who I'm looking at right now
Im having so much fun with the game especially on online and in story mode, i do enjoy watching each teams ending after beating the boss which was kinda difficult. Also my main team is Kyo,Luong and Dinosaur, my team might change when more DLC comes out but other than that im having a blast.
This game is a lot of fun. I’m getting my ass whooped online and keep coming back for more. There’s so many characters can’t seem to settle on one team. But I know Blue Mary and King are locked in for my team just need a solid third

This is my first time jumping into not only KOF but also fighting games really hard. I’ve played a little bit here and there but with this game I’ve actually sat in the training room and worked at it.
That round had such a freak desync accident. I'm still quite impressed the game recovered tho. We know that online will never be perfect until we get, like, quantum Internet or some shit like that. I am just happy to see games using rollback net code now. It's sooo much better now.
I absolutely love this game, i have never tried to take kof seriously besides 13 but netcode was awful but thats not the case here, also im really loving characters like Ramon he feels so unique also characters like chris kyo and pillow boy are extremely fun

I've never played a KoF game in my life XV is my first and oh my am I enjoying myself! Even when I'm getting the shit kicked out of me I find myself laughing and saying "damnnnn" compared to wanting to peg my controller at my monitor like when I play SF or MK. I'm Australian so most people I vs are on around 250ms but with the rollback net code you can barely notice a single hint of lag! Learning Joe as much as I've heard he is hard to play! If there are any other new players preferably in the AUS region hit me up! I'd love to learn and play with others!
Making the rising tackle a DP and the standing strong punch, to light punch linkable to a special made terry more accecible. Kind of reminded me of Normal Terry and EX Terry in KOF 98.
This game is absolutely amazing, been a long time KOF fan and im so happy to see this game get some love (hope they fix the input delay on ps5, wonder if i will notice the change)
Kof 15 is amazing my favorite fighting game overall been playing king of dinosaur shermie and clark love my grappler army of three tho ps4 broke yesterday but IMA get a new one tomorrow and get back into it
Something I’m liking with these early KOF XV videos and streams is that you see a bit more variety in the teams people choose. It’s always nice to see what the different characters can do.
Currently rocking Vanessa/Dolores/King and it’s so nice to be playing a KOF game legit with good netcode. Didn’t really get to play XIV or 13 against real people
I am loving KOF15 so far. All my mains play like they did before (only better) and my big main Rock Howard is gonna be first in line for DLC! I'm happy, and look forward to more!
It's such a cool little detail when Ralf and Clark face off they salute eachother and the music changes to a Metal Slug soundtrack. I wish Strive had more character interactions like Xrd and Accent Core did

Pretty new to KOF and while I did try other KOF games, i had a hard time picking characters (Aside from terry, he's my main in smash) So rn im playing Kyo cause i loved him in the beta, terry cause haha funny busta go wolf, and blue mary which is surprising cause i normally don't like characters who revolve around grabs but she's so much fun
The only caveat about not having KOF XV yet is I still have time to mull over who I want to use. I'm like one of the only people who was the most hype over Gato being announced so he's locked in pick for sure. Chizuru was super fun during the first Beta so I think I'll pick her up too. But that third man. I liked using Clark in XIV and apparently some of his inputs have been changed so he's more streamlined but Iori was fun af to use in the beta too. Ahh, I think I might have the team of Clark, Chizuru, Iori if I get the game before the first DLC team drops but would drop Iori for Gato when Team Garou's is released.

Glad you're enjoying playing Ralf, Max! I tried him out a bit in this one, as it seems like he's recovered _somewhat_ from 'roiding the heck out in XIII, but...well. I like his '95 look too much to pick him back up, I fear. All of which to say, it's good others are picking him~ As for who _I'm_ playing, that'd be King, Kula, and Whip! Though I think I might also like sleepy boi, funnily enough?? Elizabeth seems neat, too; my third could well change at some point.

It's ashame street fighter abandoned the basic combo string which is why I could never get into sfv.
It was not that hard in KOF 14.

Yeah Ryo is awesome in this game his combos feel great and they are satisfying to pull off and the parry is underrated imo.

Just an objection, Ralph was VERY popular in KOF 97. His strong punch was just overpowered.
If I am not remembering wrong, the final boss, Orochi Chris, was easy for Ralf to take down.
I've been using Kyo and Terry as well, but went with Joe as my third. My first KOF game so I'm having fun so far!

So far I've been loving playing as Joe Higashi, Heidern, and antonov. I'd recomond checking out Joe he's got some crazy combos in this game.

It's funny that the game changed a lot since KOF 94 but the fun was always there.

I am loving KOF15 so far. All my mains play like they did before (only better) and my big main Rock Howard is gonna be first in line for DLC! I'm happy, and look forward to more!

It's such a cool little detail when Ralf and Clark face off they salute eachother and the music changes to a Metal Slug soundtrack. I wish Strive had more character interactions like Xrd and Accent Core did

It's been so long since I last played a KOF game with XIII. These vids are making me get back into it and other fighting games in general. Hopefully SF6 will be good!
Pretty new to KOF and while I did try other KOF games, i had a hard time picking characters (Aside from terry, he's my main in smash) So rn im playing Kyo cause i loved him in the beta, terry cause haha funny busta go wolf, and blue mary which is surprising cause i normally don't like characters who revolve around grabs but she's so much fun
It's not the grabs, it's the satisfaction of hearing the bones of your rivals cracking.
Expectations have definitely been shattered. SNK have been knocking it out of the park lately. Fingers crossed for a Garou 2.

The only caveat about not having KOF XV yet is I still have time to mull over who I want to use. I'm like one of the only people who was the most hype over Gato being announced so he's locked in pick for sure. Chizuru was super fun during the first Beta so I think I'll pick her up too. But that third man. I liked using Clark in XIV and apparently some of his inputs have been changed so he's more streamlined but Iori was fun af to use in the beta too. Ahh, I think I might have the team of Clark, Chizuru, Iori if I get the game before the first DLC team drops but would drop Iori for Gato when Team Garou's is released.

I unfortunatly don't have Kof 15 as I can't afford it BUT
every time I think I would just want to play a certain set of characters, I see someone do cool stuff with a different character and I now would like to play them as well.
So should I just play every character at this point if I ever get the game? 😅

Glad you're enjoying playing Ralf, Max! I tried him out a bit in this one, as it seems like he's recovered _somewhat_ from 'roiding the heck out in XIII, but...well. I like his '95 look too much to pick him back up, I fear. All of which to say, it's good others are picking him~
As for who _I'm_ playing, that'd be King, Kula, and Whip! Though I think I might also like sleepy boi, funnily enough?? Elizabeth seems neat, too; my third could well change at some point.
I may need to pick up Ralf been currently using King of Dinos, Maxima, and Antonov but Ralf looks so fun and would be perfect for team beef lol.
