In America is every house made of wood and paper?? That wolf from the 3 little pigs story would be the king there
Aside from being more costly ( even though the price of wood this days is insane) it all depends on the location honestly. Northern states with severe winter, wood is a better for energy consumption. Keeping a brick/concrete home warm in a -10C environment can be very costly. If you travel to souther states with 35C to 40C weather, concrete homes are more common, since concrete home stay cooler in warm environments and requires less energy to stay cool. Hope that makes sense.
It just depends on location. Almost every house in Midwest America is built this way
@@NotTheFBI_OFFICIAL use double brick walls with air chamber and if u want more isolation use pladur with wool... but please make a real good structure of concrete or steel.
@@AmandoLzapatillasmc nothing wrong with wood framed home. it def should not cost the same as a concrete structure but homes in the US are built to extremely high codes of quality, materials and workmanship. just casue its not a 4ooo yr old stonehenge from ye olde europe, doesnt make it any less top end.
You failed to suggest building supplies you would rather build with in that area for that budget. Doesn't give us much to go on.

@@yellow_noise3why? Because you can't afford it? Didn't hate the people with money. Use them as motivation to get your own money
Built a huge house. The family was isolated from each other. Took me 20 minutes to find all my kids. The utilities and taxes were depressing when I added them up. Sitting in the living room one day I realized I was happier in our 1800 sq ft house with my happy little family.
Personally I don't car for a huge house but if I had an average home with a giant garage then I'd be a happy man
Absolutely valid!
@@MarioSolisxD You can always build a 1,800sqft home with 10 car garage. Hire an Architect and it will be possible.
Not to fear. I bought that 1800 sq ft house from you after you built that huge house. But, I know how much you'd prefer to life here, so I'm going to trade you my little house for yours; and no extra charge. Since it will make you happier, you can move in next week. I'd hate for you to be so depressed up there in that big house any longer.
I just went from 5400sf on 6.5 acres down to 2200sf on .5 acres and I couldn't be happier. I'm 53 years old so I'm not quite in the typical "downsizing" years. I thought having a big fancy custom home with all the furnishings was the American dream. Yet once I had it, I soon realized it didn't bring me the joy I thought it would (despite owning it outright).

Thank you so much!! Your kind words are much appreciated
OMG! Thank you for sharing the build of home. I paused so many times, Crazy.. I was calling out every thing before eath portion was complete. You are blessed! As large as it is you kept each room cozy & that is not easy but so rewarding. Moost homes of this size are over done or feels empty and cold. All of the details and extras were the perfect jewlery as everything complemented each other. A designer myself and my family of builders, it was so nice for me as so many projects were ran by me. I enjoy going over each detail. Anything I could add or subtract Suggesting Ideas no one thought of. I only questioned both covered, each had a large dining table and chairs. For me, if it were mine I would have one set up like an out door living room. Thank you as I was mesmerised. Forgive my spelling.
I saved the video it impacted me. This house for me was spot on! I even fantasized who i would have as a partner living with me in this home. Never experienced this feeling that all the decisions were mine. So Awesome! I could not imagine having someone over to visit, to experience their reaction when they first see it. I am so wanting to see the interior furnished, the wall treatments etc, I feel high after watching the building of this home.
I have a feeling you are beautiful people, for having a vision and realizing it. Ha! If you ever need me to fly out to and house sit as long as you wish, Ha! :} It is a shame how our government has strangled the majority. In this world we all should have a better life with communities. Familys together with a mom and dad. What we see today is very sad for the country of opprotunity as actually a country In huge debt and yet where did all that money go. Check our debt out, come on! something is very wrong here if we have that debt and we live with homeless everywhere, the theft issue, our way to keep criminals? People like; Joe Biden. George Bush should be in prison. Seems everyone is just trying to get by. Most living month to month, in debt. We should all be traveling, have a nice house, car. Research who is actually in charge calling the shots all, with serious plans to depopulate, keep people down not enjoying life. It should be all our efforts to educate ourselves to see the TRUTH, People would be shocked if they knew the global agenda. Look around as people in this world have serious issues. All of this strife is what they want is infighting. Read the Art of War, it sheds light on tactics the US and other countrys use tio make money, men dying for what? Left after war in serious shape & not taken care of. It is hard to step out of your reality inorder to see, may be there are things, The bias democrat owned news, spreading propaganda in order to make the people hate for example, Trump a very good man trying to educate and expose the truth. Now may be you can see that this part of government is threttened as people who are doing bad things are going to do everything so we are blind and dont know whats going on. I pray for the world to get rid of this faction who has privet meetings deciding our fait. All that you see is all planed to make the poor poorer and the rich mega wealthy. A dem for 50+ years saw the light, it is disterbing but necessary if we want fair & equal for all people. Dont get mad. educate and share. Those in power do not like the truth, we should be outraged. We need people to expose and weed out the corruption. Thx, J

Hey thank you!! If you ever come across the pond let us know!
Ridiculous to see how a million Dollar house looks in the US. A huge doghouse made of plywood and nails with nearly no sound or thermal insulation. What a standard. Europe is 70 years ahead of you. Keep trying!!
Sounds pretty good from inside this mansion
All that isnt necessary unless their is a need for it
European building standards for all of those immigrant housing centers 😂
Yes buddies. Just cheap copy of the great old mansions. Not supporting strong structural needs, one bigger wind and all roof gone.
Just insane, who says money can`t buy you happiness, beautiful build guys.
Thank you!!!
Agreed
Money can buy happiness, or at least the things that make me happy. It's when greed sets in that ruins it. No one said money buys "complete" happiness, but it can make people extremely happy, especially if they have things money can't buy. Let's go one further in case they don't. I'd rather be unhappy and rich, than be unhappy and poor. Fact check: Yep, no matter how you look at it, rich is better and you only get that way with money.
I'll be calling you one day! Amazing Build 🔥
Please do!! We'll be waiting!
I have rarely seen a house whose design was so intent on appearing more than it is. Huge roofs for nothing. Dummy stone walls. Cheap concrete instead of stone slabs on the outside. A very contradictory house. A house to impress business friends? It looks like it was intentional, but not done well, and the icing on the cake is the location - right next to the motorway.
It's a good thing it's not yours then :)
Always one of you bozos on a video like this. Let's see your roach coach home 😂
Shut up
All those wood for this is sooooo 😵💫
It's a prime example of a "McMansion", a house built to impress, as you said, by and for people who have no idea of what makes a mansion a mansion
Love is best.
This is true
Spending so much money on a paper castle that looks like this should be a crime. When have we stopped building beautiful?
The customer thinks it's beautiful and that's all that really matters
Amazing job from a design and build perspective. I question the choice of the lot for that incredible house next to the 4 lane street.
The staircase and the ceiling in the great room are pieces of art. Incredible craftsmenship.
I have a curved staircase in my house. Every time I walk up it, I admire the skill that it took to make every stair perfect.
Thank you so much!! The location was perfect for this customer
You call it a mansion while faking stone walls on the outside. Hilarious 😂
Your comment is hilarious
If youre talking about the brick, them you need to get over yourself. This is how brick is done across the market.
I think you need to look up the definition of "mansion". You don't seem to know what one is....
That's how things are built today. The old stone fortresses of the early 201th century and earlier are no more. They use cost effective products because no matter how rich you are, you still have a budget. These large estates (mansions) are no different than a good small home, they're just bigger. You're not going to see 200 year old craftsmanship in them.
I love seeing people building from start to finish it looks so massive beautiful I don't know what to say it just looks so nice whoever got this property they have a lot of money building to this massive house imagine they have a lot of kids or grandkids and they going to love it good luck young and God bless 🙏🙏❤️🎈🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊

One magnitude 7 earthquake and Category 5 storm and boom 😵💫
Well, most homes would be screwed under those conditions lmao
@@kbuild Many homes are built to withstand 7.0+ earthquakes and survive them with minimal to no damage, especially those built over the past 50-60 years. I'm an architect whose been designing/building McMansions for almost my entire 45+ yr career in the highly seismically active PNW, and truthfully, we design more for high winds rather than earthquakes. I'm not familiar with mid-west building design factors, but am aware you folks have tornados to deal with, which we do not, but am imagining wind governs your design values as well, despite the fact that St Louis sits almost on top of the New Madrid fault line and was home to one of the largest earthquakes in our nation's recorded history. However, the chances of BOTH and 7.0 AND a C5 wind event occurring at the same time are so slim as to be nearly non-existent. To try to engineer any building to be 100% fail proof is not in the realm of feasibility. No building is 100% disaster-proof, even the underground military and governmental bunkers can fail if subjected to enough stress.
Well done
Thank you!

Are there any actual fire hazzad preventions that make this huge pile of wood burning when you turn on the stove? Assuming the electric cables are inside the insulated walls, isnt that increasing the potential of unstopable fire when there is a single spark somethere inside the wall unexpectadly happens? On the positive note, the masonry and roofing looks amazing!!!
Every home in the midwest area is built this way because it is what is most effective in this environment. I'm sure the amount of homes in the midwest compared to the amount of homes that go up in flames when you turn on the stove is quite slim. Thank you though! Cornerstone was responsible for the masonry and we worked with Double J Roofing for the roof. Both outstanding companies

genuine question, does the timber not rot when you make a timber framed house? like you leave it open to all sorts of weather when building, i only ask cause in uk where i'm from timber framed houses are extremely rare
Our home is coming up to 100 years old in the Pacific North West where it rains, a lot, and for the most part there is very little rot. Some of our window sills needed replacing but that is about it.
May have something to do with the timber that was used? predominantly straight grained cedar with very few knots in it.
Its called well manufactured wood

Why
How safe is it being a house made out of wood basically?Id rather a home made out of Centre Block to be honestly
That is how building is done in the midwest....
Well 92% of all houses in the USA are made of wood, so safe.
I see a lot of wasted space with the truss system used. I would have been inclined to add rooms or storage in the high pitched roof sections. But with all that square footage it's probably an unnecessary addition to the floor plan. Nice shack though.😄

Even Mansions are builde out of wood and paper in the US....No wonder that their power consumption is so high.

Why build such a large house backing up to a busy highway? Resale value is greatly affected. You need to be at least a lot or preferably two away from such a busy thoroughfare.
