Thank you for this. I’m looking to put these on my ‘06 Si sedan. Btw, good choice on the 8th gen sedan. They look so much better than the coupes imo. I don’t like the look of the rear on the coupes. I traded in my 2001 EX for a brand new my Si when the 8th gens were just released in the US. I was first looking at a coupe and when I saw my white sedan across the lot, I instantly fell in love and bought it. She’s now 17 years old, in brand new condition with only 28,000 on odometer. It’s still all stock except cold air intake, header and exhaust that I installed as soon as warranty was up. Now I’m looking to do more mods, possibly turbocharging and tuning the K-series and suspension work.

Is it bouncy coilovers do you recommend lowering S springs ?
My ride is bouncy, and I am pretty sure it is coming from the rear.
I have the front installed without touching the preload.
but I have adjusted the rear spring and perch, the spring is now compressed. I did it because I thought that is the proper way to work on the height adjustment.
Am I supposed to adjust the height with the shocks? and the silver colour tube is supposed to be twistable for height adjustment?
That looks really bouncy. I have KYB AGX and Eibach springs. Feels the same for me.

Anyone have any experience with godspeed suspension components like lower control arms?
im running racelands on a 2003 passat i tried to save a buck replacing bad shocks, i've had them for 6 months, the struts squeak when hitting hard bumps. they arent as bouncey as everyone complains about for me, but the back bottoms out on the bumpstops that i have cut down to 1in(instead of it being 4 inches) if theres a dip in the road while im turning. ... and as far as ride quality, they are scary AF at highway speeds or hitting bumps in lonng corners they feel unstable, i have them set up so theres a 2 finger gap above the tire so they are about 1.5 inches from being slammed and they are still shitty... was looking into godspeeds and ksport coils as hopefully a mid tier upgrade i want my car to feel low and handle predictibly and comfortably when cornering...it doesnt need to handle like a ferrari but at least be safe for me and my family when driving normally or spirited when im by myself and i feel that coils are best way to achieve what i want for me over shocks and lowering springs. Your info will be taken into consideration when i goto purchase so Thank You for taking the time review honestly
How much were you able to lower it?

Boss I just installed mono rs and It’s kinda bouncy, but I havent touch the dampening yet does adjusting dampening will help eliminate or reduce the the bounciness?
Increasing the dampening to make it stiffer

I have a FWD 94 Celica so I’m looking for struts/coil overs for it. My trust I have are heavily blown so I was curious how you think the ride quality is for these?
For being a cheaper coilover they arent to bad. A little bit on the stiffer side but overall not too bad

Dreshawn Goode Ride quality is horrible on the streets. Dampening is atrocious and build quality is horrible. I’d save up some money and get some BC or RSR coil overs

don’t get bc. i’ve heard nothing but bad about them. my bf had a coilover blow, bc refused to answer him and send him a replacement part until he talked to someone who carried some weight around bc.

how bad do potholes feel? my city has pretty bad holes but i dont want to go slammed low. just a little. but im worried about potholes.
Potholes don't feel good in any car stock or not. Over all it isn't bad you'll definitely feel it, But if you lower a car you should still be mindful that you're car is lower and try to avoid hitting them
How do they ride now I just got a set in for my 7th gen civic an on installing them this weekend
I'm not sure how they are now I sold the car a year ago
So we can assume they lasted atleast a year maybe 2 if person who bought it didnt contact him later
When you were talking about maxed out are you talking about maxed Low as It can go or Maxed as high as it can go
Cameron Jones yeah maxed out as low as the go. But some people take out the rings to go lower

How did you preload the front coilovers??
For the fronts, they should already come preloaded from the factory. if you want to redo it then. the spring should be snug with a couple of turns. there is a video on youtube showing how to preload coilovers for civics.

because I'm interested in buying a coilover for my car.
It depends how low you want to ride. I'm maxed out year around so my coils take a beating. They've held up so far but in the winter they make alot of noise.

Just bought mine. Still waiting on mine to come in the mail anywhere from (7/11 - 7/18). REALLY hope they come 7/11 - 7/13.

@@datboi8140 I love them. I drove on them for just a little over two years. After dialing in the stiffness and ride height it's a joy and still easy to get around on. Definitely well worth the cost.

Hi, if youre looking for straight comfort i would recommend fortune auto or bc racing. They have a little bit of a better ride. Keep in mind aftermarket coilovers will always have a rougher ride than stock
@Yakboyz thanks! All things considered, are these Godspeed coilovers pretty comfortable? I think i currently have entry to mid level Teins, got them 5 years ago

I am a 58-year-old hot rodder please someone tell me there is something out there where you can lower your car up to an inch and a half or 2 inches and still get a quality Ride just like stock if not better why do they make lowering Springs and coilovers so bouncy over bumps where you can feel all of the bumps. I don’t understand that, back in the day we cut our Springs and our cars better than all the lowering springs now so It can be done. And we would lower our cars by cutting the springs up to 2 inches and it road just like stock even over a really bad bumpy roads.
Most coilovers nowadays have dampening knobs most younger people tend to have the dampening set to a stiffer setting. If you want a more comfortable ride set the dampening to a softer setting
I install it and my front wont go any lower. Max out and still have 3 fingers gap so Im lost
How are you adjusting it?
@@Yakboyz i preload it to 5mm and low it all the way and still have 3 fingers gap.

@@CliffB5A4 DONT DO IT! While they do ride nice. They have no drop. Maxed out it was stock height.

are these ready to install right out of the box? are they Preloaded right out of the box?
Tony F depends on how to suspension set up is. If it's you rears are separate parts then it's not preloaded correctly and you'll have to preload your self
How low does the back go ?
I dont really remember. I think in the video i still had a quarter inch to go in the rear
I'll give a comment on all Godspeed Project products. If you haven't been given complete instructions , plan on paying high end garage as company provide no directions for tuning their products. Very disguised on their site and the reason they accept no returns without 25% restocking fee.
Any weird noises from the coilovers? I'm looking into these for GS400.. These are Megans..
Tony F not really. The only weird noises I heard was when it was below freezing the springs creak a little

I've had them in for almost 2 weeks. I like them. They had a lot of adjustability. My only complaint is the sway bar linkage. It needs to be able to shorten or lengthen. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with them.

You can make them longer and shorter, but you shouldn't have to undo one side to adjust them.

You don't need to warm up a car to move it 10 feet thats honestly a waste of gas.
Idling actually does little to warming the engine. Driving is the best way to get the heater core to warm up. 40 degrees is all it needs, and in most cases watm weather can keep fluids at a warm ambient temp.

My godspeed coilover had 7 months before broke but i drove very lower during all canada winter and god know how winter can be rude in canada xD
How did they do long term?
They were good the whole time I've had them. I sold the car about a year and a half more after i put them on

I did I have that issue. That is caused from not having the preload adjusted properly.

R/ S so, I run 15x8 wheels with 195/60 tires and Del Puerto Canyon road or CA-HWY130 often and hit it hard. I have scrape on the front and took fender rolling in the back to minimize. I will be changing to a +20-40 off set wheel on the front for drifting but my local roads are touge. The coils are great so far, o adjusted the preload due t body roll though so ignore my previous comment. Depends on the application I guess.

ashton Robinson Whats up man. I just bought some truhart street coilovers, and TBH id rather have the megans. Only because they have preload in the front and the rear plus dampening. The truhart only has preload set in the front so if you lower the rear too much its bouncy. Plus the truharts dont have adjustable dampening. But the TruHarts do go very low lol, the megans dont

@@Yakboyz Have you ever done any Touge runs or Autocross? I heard GSP Coilovers are Peaky and both my DC4 and AP2 are naturally peaky cars. I love deathtraps and all, but if I don't have the insurance of an FF drivetrain- I'd prefer to be stable.

and their mom drives a WRX or VQ with TE37s or RPF1s with pandem kits or parts while running HKS exhausts. There's some good ones out here, but they're like me and only come out during devilish hours.

@@Yakboyz Ahh I see it helps by not hitting the fender lip .. its been awhile since I had a car sit very low wish I had coilovers way back then... Got coilovers now I was not happy that the car sat so low but I learned how to adjust the coilovers and now the ride is smooth and handels real well on the road. Still low about 1 1/2 inch lower than stock. Got the last part I needed for front wheel adj of camber next New Wheels and Tires. keep up the good work! Stay safe!

The bounce depends on your pre-load adjustment… loose springs will make it bounce Try tightening them up and you should be good
