This is the soundtrack of a found ancient civilization in space. Insanely advanced but has stone temples and palaces everywhere with foliage growing everywhere.

A long winded way of saying i loved this..
As kids our soul has an endless capacity for experience, that’s why we’re so captivated by ants, pebbles and how the sun shines off the pavement. Reality is inexhaustible in its variations and it drives inexhaustible feeling. But as we age we internalize and assign more and more symbols (words) for things in reality, the garden of the soul gets slowly overtaken by the weeds of internal verbiage. And worse still, internalizing a symbol like "dog" automatically opens up a category (a complex subtle experience) in your mind that covers all dogs, and next time you stroll in the park you won’t even see the real live uniqueness of a particular dog that’s passing by. You’ll instead activate your ambiguous generic category and have a lifeless sense that, if translated into words, would be something like "there’s a dog passing somewhere to my left". And that goes for everything else too, including having a generic experience "i’m walking through my neighborhood park" instead of actually being there with the people, birds and pebbles. Receiving the liveness of the world (bottom-up) from your senses is replaced by a new mode of being, one where you’re activating and imposing from memory (top-down) your dead ossified generic templates. Everywhere you go all you see is memory. And that’s in a good day when your mind is not captive to ceaseless internal thinking that has to do with totally different things that aren’t even present.
This transition is purposeful, the pups need to explore and learn everything in their environment, and in order to do that they need to be open and fascinated by all things. And the adults need to be maximally efficient, and in order to do that they must *collapse* the complexity of the environment, the endless variation, into well known generic categories to which they have perfected very fluent energy-efficient attitudes and reactions (no hard thinking needed). The sole things that stand apart and alive for adults are things that aren’t yet part of a well formed category. It’s the reason why traveling brings back that childhood feeling of contrast and intensity. Streets, houses and doors aren’t like those you have at home. The more exotic the better, to the point that "exotic" itself means a great experience.
But magic is everywhere. It’s the process of maturation that’s purposely driving us blind, paradoxically making us more productive and ignorant of life in the same time. As Alan Watts liked to say, heaven is open to those who become as a child again.
These sounds remind me of childhood’s careless serendipity and unconstrained emotions. Fantastic channel for a few moments of respite and magic 🤘

That's truly fantastic... Very well done ! A very delicate composition, and that sound... Wow ! May I ask how did you switch between articulations for the cello ? are you using something like a touché with your right hand ? Or maybe some expression pedal is enough with the Bestservice Cello ? As someone struggling with East West VSTs (and nowhere near you, that"s a flawless sounding cello...) I'm very curious... !

    • @RemixSample
