Shane Matthews, Chris Leak, and Tim Tebow all agree that Lagway is not ready for a lot of playing time right now. They all say they visited him at practice, they all like him and think he's talented, but he's not ready. They all said Mertz gives the Gators the best chance to win.
They need to make a change at Offensive Line COACH(s). Then "players" on the right side of the line, CHANGE. And of course Head Coach. Change. Other than that, and they'll probably do none of that, they should be a-ok.
Miss St. Will look like the 1988 49ners Sat. Florida makes everyone look like a Heisman hopeful. This game may be somewhat closer than the A&M game, but if I had to pick, Miss St wins.
Everyone says, "but hey, Miss St lost to Toledo".
We would have lost to Toledo as well.
I don't think this is a must win game for Napier. Win or lose I think Napier will be fired after this weekend using the bye week to get the team over the change. We're worse than when Napier got here so a winning season is out of the question. Also, since Strickland is still here, they will do an "on the field interview" for our next coach on Oct 5th. Sadly, that HC will be an improvement over Napier and the timing of the hire would work well with both the recruiting and portal windows. Basically, this game will determine who is the true last place team in the SEC.
If Billy wants to lose and get fired State is not the place to do it. State is horrible. You could just throw your helmets and shoulder pads on the field and mop them up. Helmets 35 Cowbells 10

Losing to MSST will be the lowest this program has ever been in its history. I just don't see that happening unless it's intentional incompetence.

The D coordinator needs to quit making our Dlinemen run all these NFL style Stunts when they rush the passer! What happened to just letting the players use their natural abilities to either bull rush or spin/juke moves to get by the OLinemen that’s blocking them? With all these stunts our Dlinemen run it takes them way too long to get in the backfield! What I’m getting at I guess is instead of all these stunts that makes them try to loop around the blockers, just let them rush straight down hill with bull rushes and spin moves etc and see if they can’t get more pressure that way! Both Sapp and McCray have showed that if you just let them use their physical traits they can get pressure on the QB but they don’t get to showcase their raw talents hardly ever!
Also quit blitzing the safeties without them being in the box before the snap! There is no way they will get in the backfield consistently when they are blitzing from their coverage position! If you are gonna blitz the safeties get them down in the box or at least close to the linebackers that way they at least have a chance to make it to the backfield. Also everytime I’ve watched Castell come down for the blitz it looks like he only jogs into the backfield and could probably have a few sacks if he would have gave 100% effort, I’ve never seen a gators team that just doesn’t seem to care about effort like this current team is displaying in games this season.

You look the MSU home record vs Florida, and it's pretty stout. Even when Florida was really good and MSU supposedly wasn't, it is usually a very physical game. This Gator squad? Physicality isn't their strong suit.
Never thought I’d see anything worse than the 3rd and 57 with Grosssman and Spurrier in 00’ at State but something tells me BN will top that Saturday.

I am a gator fan but will be pulling for MSU so that we can get rid of napier and the AD sooner. Florida needs to have a new head coach in place before early signing day.
Since this season will be crappy, UF needs to redshirt lagway.
