This plane taught me how to fly RC planes then my Habus ever did. Sadly, I screwed up when I unlocked the gyro and clicked reset servo and it slammed into the runway on a take off. RIP little Avanti. You are missed.
I'm licensed helicopter pilot but a poorish one! You're a big guy and making weight with the R-22 could be challenging unless you've got someone super light in the other seat. I think the R-44 was about another $100. Per hour and so worth it! The R-44 feels like Cadillac in comparison! They are so much nicer to fly, especially in wind . They are way expensive to buy, you almost need it to do something to make it pay for itself. But that requires commercial license and loads and loads of moola/hours. I'm going to get Fixed wing license next. It's so much cheaper to get and you can go in with a group to purchase an airplane pretty reasonable to at least start. You guys are the best! You doing amazing work on the property! Ponds are wonderful. Water is life! Ponds draw in so much wildlife they are totally awesome! It looks like it would be easy landing for most Helocopter pilots since you got rid of the power lines. Most anyone could shoot an approach in there and safely land. (Of course I'm looking at video
Dang! That wind flag is just about straight out. And the Avanti is rock solid, straight rollin' and corn holin'! A+ on the camera crewin', Camera Crew 👍
Beautiful looking jet you are flying there Brian. I have to give Meagan a shout out because she is great with the camera. I lost the jet 3 times and she still had it in sight. It sounds great, I really like that, and the colors are awesome as well. Thanks for sharing Brian. 👍👍👍
Love this plane!! Was pulling G’s however and the wing came right off in flight!! DOH!! Wham! Destroyed entirely…not sure what I did to make it do so? Either way that’s the hobby and I’ve ordered another. Really gorgeous plane and flies great. 🎉
Yes Brian that's how government bureaucracy goes, unless your pass due for inspections then they are ready in no time to fine ya! back to back notices. Good to see you flying your older planes.
Same SMART ones, but we've also reached out to SMC, but we haven't heard back from them. We kinda started talking to them, then things got CRAZY, so it wasn't like they just ignored us, but we haven't re-established communications.
@BrianPhillipsRC I hear you mate. I reached out to SMC for a bulk order and it was going to take forever to get them made for me. Then a new batch was coming out needing testing which takes 3 months 😮 so it was going to be 6 months plus the shipping time. I spent my $2K on CNHL instead. I'll try SMC later on when I'm prepared to wait for them. Infact I might try an alternative UK brand LiHV and see what all the fuss is about first....
Eflite Viper 100% hands down. Better flight characteristics, but if you already have a viper, and wants something DIFFERENT, the Avanti is not a bad plane at all...it might be a touch faster, to be frank, but it BITES a lot harder, and that's why I say, Viper - being that you're a very experienced pilot, you might lean toward the Avanti. It's a tough spot to be in - between two good choices...unless you can enjoy a bit of both ;) Oh yeeeah!!! bprc.me/Viper - My vote. VS bprc.me/FMS_Avanti - Still VERY good, but keep in mind the PNP (vs BNF Viper - prices will line up closer with that in mind)

E-flite viper 70mm or this Avanti 70mm?? I’m between both! I want the fastest and best overall performance - I’m a very experienced pilot.
