- Is Tesla Autopark STILL USELESS in 2021? We tested Tesla Autopark way back when the channel first launched and it had a few issues. Now that over a year has passed we're going to test Tesla autopark in our Tesla Model 3 again, hopefully the software updates have caused a big improvement!

Thanks for letting me know that once the P is visible I can shift into reverse to activate autopark immediately. However, if they're still allowing the ability to also press the P directly, this feature should work first time! If not they should remove the ability completely.

He is not supposed to press the P though, he is just supposed to shift into reverse and it begins
Hey Jack, you don’t have to press the P! When I use it, I just go into reverse and it allows you to start it.

Jack when Becky is next to you the car actually parks in the center but when she’s filming from the outside it gives you more space, so I’m guessing that it knows when there is a passenger and make the space equal
no. Becky was in the car the first time it happened. You could think that they gave Jack more space on the 2nd one because it didn't detect anyone on the passenger seats but Becky was in the car the first time and it still did the same thing
@@HaifaaAmni Wouldn't make sense anyway. The passanger side is the next vechicles driver side, and the other person should get in somehow. One supposed to park in the middle of the lines.

What I noticed from this video is that the car gives Jack's side more space when Becky isn't in the car

I noticed that the 2nd time it happened. But Becky was in the car the 1st time. You could think that they gave Jack more space on the 2nd one because it didn't detect anyone on the passenger seats but Becky was in the car the first time and it still did the same thing
It does that because if it gives the same space with a passenger it may risk the passenger opening to the road
My neighbourhood with cars everywhere + Tesla autopark = multiple insurance claims and lawsuits.

Auto park leaves some more space for driver seat🤔. I think the advantage is that the passenger can come out of the car first and the driver can park his/her car , and driver can can enter the car without squeezing through the door, after moving the car forward the passenger can enter.

Great video Mate! Earned your self a new subscriber. Love your others as well. Keep up the good work. Can you do a video to see if Tesla reacts if you get pulled over? Maybe like the back sensors / cameras? Try asking your local police Patrol sergeant or a regular patrol officer to help ya.

I just noticed that when the tesla was parking, it was moving the mirrors.
Yeah the mirrors change when you put the car in reverse, it helps you see better when you reverse :)
Yea lots of cars do that now. They angle down so you can better see curbs and lines.

To check if it is driver-side related you should probably go test it where they drive on the right once you are able to go everywhere again.

For a few versions now, the contact point for the "P" button has been offset to the outside of the actual P image. So, you;'ll need to actually tap to the left/right of the P and it'll work every time. Hopefully they fix this soon.

When you use autopark, the mirrors move depending on what direction you are going!!!
Am I the only who noticed that when its auto parking Jack's right side mirror adjusts itself
Some vehicles dip the mirrors when they go into reverse so you can see curbs or parking lines.

Generally you should park on the nearside - better visibility when leaving. When parallel parking every time it chose the wrong side of the street (could be illegal after dark) is not good.

12:08 maybe it does this because in California the driver is on the left, and lots of people drive by themselves to work, so it gets closer on the right of the car.
It's weird to believe that one day cars will be driverless...
I am not sure but there is a potential chance that the auto park option is made like that, you may have to press multiple times

The reason the car only auto parks in the middle of two cars is because parking in between two cars is a bloody nightmare where as if you are parking in a place where there is no cars is super easy
Hey Jack, I just want to let you know when you tried to use the autopark. The reverse light on the right side, the bulb is out. only one side reverse light works.

Parking spaces in the UK look so small. Do you guys get dents in your doors from other car doors? 9:48 like look at the sides of the parking spot. That is so tight for a small sedan.
Yes. No matter what you drive you need to park next to the nicest cars possible. They are unlikely to ding you as they don’t want to ding their door.
